  • Installing Z1 Motorsports 2.5” long tube intakes on 2008 G35X
    Install process is the same for 350z (HR), G37, and 370z
    You can install without cutting the core support or with cutting. I show both ways.

      Was the car tuned (or MAF scaled) and then started misfiring?

      if you do 3 inch intakes you need to tune the car immediately

      Thanks for checking out my video.
      The 2.5” don’t require a tune to work.
      The car started up smooth after the install
      3” intakes require MAF scaling, and a tuner does this so most people do full tunes.

    Can the intake popping out through the grill only be done to the g37 or could it be done on g35?

      You have the DE engine G35? I don’t know of any kits for the G35 coupes and sedan with DE engines.
      Maybe the z1 M Spec intake for the 350z can be modified to work

    Hey bro abit off topic from the video but I have a question about your exhaust. I'm currently running ISR RTP's with a TopSpeed Yback, I want to get rid of the rasp but I don't want to break the bank on a Motordyne XYZ pipe, will the Circuit Werks Y-Pipe with the resonator for an 09 350z fit my AWD G37X sedan? I had seen your previous video with it and searched it up and they only have for a 350z unless that it the one you got. Thanks in advance!

    • @ProjectPanda13
      @ProjectPanda13  2 роки тому +1

      The circuit Werks one I believe won’t. It doesn’t come out wide enough. The z1 resonated won’t either.
      Your only choices at the moment would be Motordyne (awd specific), HBP, and Thaitanium for resonated y pipes

    • @ProjectPanda13

      Does the car crank and not start or does it start up but dies?
      If it only cranks but doesn’t start make sure all major sensors are plugged up.
      If it starts and dies, make sure all hoses are connected and in good condition. Possibly a vacuum leak

    How does water not just get in the intake and go into the engine? i bought the same intake and that’s the only thing i’m worried ab

    • @ProjectPanda13
      @ProjectPanda13  2 роки тому +2

      The intakes get slightly wet but doesn’t pull water or enough water to do any damage. If you want additional protection, many companies sell a mesh net that shields against water.

    • @fegbsc9564
      @fegbsc9564 2 роки тому

      I don't recommend this kinda of intake, the intake get wet during rainy days and car wash, i prefer shot ram intake for the safety of your car, though both short ram and cold air intake don't make any noticeable difference unless you do test pipes and tune

    • @ProjectPanda13
      @ProjectPanda13  2 роки тому +1

      @@fegbsc9564 , there are waterproof covers you can install over the filters.
      You are right that there is a change it can suck in water but even with rain, it’s not enough to do any damage. The filters would have to be submerged
      My K&N short ram intakes heat soaked and caused delayed throttle response during autocross.
      It may not be too much of a problem on a high speed course with the constant air flow. But autocross is a much slower speed sport
