Over by the compost boxes, to keep grass and weeds from growing there, cement around it, or put garden cloth down after cutting growth down. This will kill the roots, then put wood chips around there to prevent weed growth or use gravel over the plastic! Do that for the areas you want to maintain a walking path. That way growth in the paths don't have to be cut down!
