damn. just looking for a tutorial from you yesterday evening but only found one from this Nooblets guy. You don't need to destroy that hive, you can easily pick up a free flying bee from several locations on the island that are way less dangerous than the redwood biome. I found my bee (actually 2) roaming around near the rocky cliffs in the bay of the iconic spawn location on the south coast (about Lat 77 Long 35). I picked the bees up with rare flower wearing ghillie and bug spray.
Nooblets is the goat. 10/10 recommend
Meantime I have a base in the redwood forest. Bee hives everywhere on the big trees, sometimes bees just fly around outside of the hives (maybe because they got hit before by other dinos fighting nearby? not sure) - what also works really easy is smacking the hives with Bronto tail. No complicated hive raiding with explosives etc.
Easy island hack for bees!
They spawn under Green Ob without the hive. Just queens flying around. They cant go anywher and really easy to tame. I' have gotten 5-6 from that spot already.

This is the easiest.. Just full ghillie, bug repellant and kibble or flower. Thanks.

No matter what I do the queen always has at least one drone, which I assume is why i cant tame her? Have used full ghillie, bug spray, and still, as soon as i get anywhere near the queen she pops out more drones, sometimes even if im way far away watching
Figure anything out?
@@KRIZPY_X yeah, turns out the drones somtimes are an issue and sometimes they “don’t exist”? Idk I just ran up to the queen and button mashed which worked even though there were drones
I finally got my first bit of honey today. I failed at taming a queen the other day. I died several times. I tried wearing ghillie with repellant sneaking up behind her. It does not work and is very hard. So today I decided to tame a dire bear to harvest honey. The first hive I went to I left clicked on it because it said attack for honey. I destroyed that hive in a few hits. So the dire bear is definitly a tame I'd recommend for destroying a hive. Plus the bees cant knock you off. Then i found out how to actually tame a queen from Evo. You just run fast up to her when she doesnt have worker bees and feed her the flower. Super easy tame doing it that way. I tried doing it woth c4 but got myself killed. I would not recommend. Its super buggy up on the grappling hook plus theyre kinda expensive like c4. Best way which even beats bear is a Dimorphadon. Whistle attack target throw it off and it makes quick work of hive and bees and flies back once its destroyed.
Use bear to kill workers then quickly feed her snd get back on beer. Its a pretty easy cycle once you understand how long it takes for her to spawn workers

Use Dire bear instead. Build up rotating stairs and bite. Direbear is immune and you will not be knocked off you tame. Just be sure not to bite too much as the bee will spawn as soon as the hive is destroyed. Also the bear will be able to gather 3x as much Honey if I am not mistaken.
another strategy that i just came up with (in game - it works!) is to build a ramp up to the hive and then a couple ceilings with walls around it (except for the ramp entrance.) you can then smash the hive with a bear, place a doorway then door, and enter after applying insecticide and mash the tame button with rare flowers in your last slot of course. i had more trouble taming these yass queens then getting a high level Yutyrannus so i hope this helps anyone who has found an active hive!
works the same as ase but unlike ase i saw a queen bee randomly roaming near my base. not sure if something destroyed the hive or if theres a chance for them to spawn randomly. used 3 rare flowers and got it. just had to make gillie and wait for the queen to fly towards me, sprinted for a second while spamming E usually works.
There are a couple spawn points without hives, one is a ramp going west out of the green ob.
I'm not sure when, but they patched it. C4 no longer works on the hives. Tried several times at several different locations on the hive itself.

You recommend using Rocket Launchers and C4 on Bee hives...yeah, that sounds like a good approach. What, in game? Oh...that works too.
A Queen is always flying around outside a hive at 69.1 75.9. I've tamed her multiple times.

@BigfootsDen Keep looking. I've tamed 10 in the last week or 2. Mostly down by the water. Usually there every couple game days. Sometimes there's 2 at once.
My strategy is a quetzal and a dire bear.
How did you remove the trees? Can you give us the command?

This was incredibly hard for me, just trying to hit that hit box to feed her was a MF! Must have taken 15 hives to get one.
I used the Argentavis and just hovered above the hive, each hit would kill the previous wave of bees. Worked like a dream as far as removing the hive.
After you destroy the hive go land off to the side somewhere. Watch the queen from a distance and when she has no more bees following her make your move. Run is as fast as possible and start tapping F on her.
@martianlivesmatter7731 is there something going on with the worker bees? The last 3...THREE times I've used C4 and kept a distance the worker bees have actually started attacking the queen and eventually killing her.. Not to mention not once did she get low enough to the ground where I could spam feed tame. So between too high off the ground and the damn workers killing her, I've been pretty frustrated with trying to tame a queen.
@@elshizz I've never seen worker bees killing the queen. Sometimes she does stay in the air which can take awhile before she comes down. But if the workers are killing her before then obviously nothing can be done. If you've got c4 spare(if not get a bear or dimorphadon) then just keep blowing up hives till you find one where the workers don't kill the queen. Just be patient and keep following her at a distance. When she's down low enough and not making that sound spitting bees out run up and spam the feed key.
C4 doesn’t work on the bee hives. Does nothing.

I just shoot it with a bow no bees spawn at all till the queen comes out
I give you a D for not showing your work! You mention insance foliage but its missing in the description. but you know what isnt? "give me money", like, share, subscribe, buy my junk ect. Of course you realize im frustrated and venting but your console commands video were also missing a listing of commands used. :D
