Brock has lived a ridiculous life, NCAA D1 Wrestling champion, UFC heavyweight champion with wins over Randy, Mir, and Carwin, played for the Minnesota Vikings in the preseason, broke the undertakers streak, and just became a 6X time WWE champion last week
EDIT: I’m very aware WWE is scripted and stuff, I never stated here in this comment that his WWE accolades were something of his actual achievements. The comment is about how he’s lived a ridiculous life and will be remembered for these certain titles and notoriety as his legacy. Imagine if Brock went straight into MMA after his college wrestling career and actually had highly developed skills and technique in both striking and grappling for MMA. He would seriously be so damn scary if not unstoppable. It’s already insanely impressive that Brock won the UFC heavyweight belt with less than 5 professional fights to his record and basically did it with absolutely zero striking ability. He won solely on his wrestling skills, size and strength which his size/strength is extraordinarily an unreal advantage but to have only one base skill to lean on in the octagon and win the most prized championship in the world is a testament to what an incredibly gifted athlete Brock is

People like to talk about how he wasn't a "real fighter." He was given incredible opportunities because he was a star, sure, but what he did with them was Exceptional. It takes more than size, luck, and wrestling to win against Heath Herring, Randy, Couture, Frank Mir, and Shane Carwin, consecutively. He put the work in. A guy with under 5 fights isn't supposed to fare well at all in the second round when he's eating a knee from Frank Mir or in a grueling fight with Randy Couture. Trust me. Brock was a natural born fighter. That's why he adjusted quickly. He was putting the work in. He shut Mir down on the ground in the rematch like a seasoned pro.

Those guys were so oversensitive it was absurd. Like, if you're a fighter that hasn't even made the UFC roster yet and a former UFC HW champion is essentially saying you still have a lot you need to work on and you're bitching about that, you have issues.

This beast is the reason I started watching UFC. TBH, I didn't even know what UFC was, really thought it was another wrestling promotion. We did not have much traction in India in earlier days. Then I got hooked with all the blood, sweat and sounds from the octagon. Brock is a legend of all circles and currently he is living his life with the recent WWE gimmick. Happy for the man. I'm gonna play his music right after this.
