This build is so easy when you break it down, but in practice it feels crazy. And i feel insane trying to tell guildies that this new build is hard to nail, because it sounds simple. I just hope that after i get 4 piece i can start tearing it up again
Trust me you are not crazy at all, its always difficult learning an entire new playstyle. Once you get the ramp down, you just need to get used to the downtime rotation. Rem>RSK>BOK>soom a tank
I don't play healer or mistweaver in this case but it's always very good to have knowledge of the rotaion of our healers. Thank you for the video

always cool to see fellow Mistweavers learning the new Yulon playstyle! i am only 3/9 mythic at the moment but if u checked my logs Mekbrew-Stormrage u can see i am parsing really high for hps but even then i still am learning the new playstyle with timings. keep it up man i love ur videos

i casted a sheiluns yesterday w/ a full 10 stacks of the Neltharions Call trinket that hit someone for 830k, another person for 670k and didnt see the other 3 numbers and recount couldnt either but...oh man....amazing
Oh dear lord. Week one I won the roll for the trinket and my guild said they were trolling giving it to me and gave it to the lock instead...
I've been practicing the new build with just 2 piece but it feels pretty good when you can get the ramps right.

I'm still at only 1 tier, and I am almost giving up. My guild had too many healers (5 for 20-25 raiders) in heroic, so the spikey heal of the yulon build is never really relevant. -_-
@@GUJonas it wont get as much value, but its still fun spamming vivifies! Have you thought about talking to your raid leader? You guys could probably get away with 4 heals, or show him your overhealing meter and convince him to adjust healer cds a tad and let you have your moment! But yeah once you get at least 2 pc it will feel underwhelming

i have customized a yulon clouded focus build for m+ with sheiluns gift it really pumps alot of heals but at the cost of less dps but i am clearing 25s 26s with it

A couple of resets later and my parses have gone up from 30's-50's to 70's to 90's so a big improvement up to the purple parses 😊

played this build for the first time last raid, feels very strong - since it was kinda onpar in healing without the 4pc (still missing 1piece), i was also unsure what to do between the ramps so i tried essence font but yea guess vivify is the way,... also this build seems to scale with fight-knowledge much more when to ramp ect
Yeah it usually takes a few pulls to get it down but once you have the timing it pumps

At 13:33 what is the transcendence transfer trick? I checked all the links in description, and i searched the page for comments... was it removed???

One question, is it a good idea to always cast sheilun's gift only when it has 10 stacks?
The best way to use it is to line it up with the boss's damage instances, so setting up a shaoaos lesson buff into a yulon for each burst of damage is ideal

4pc is so op, but the problem I am having in my guild is evokers, the amount they heal in hc is insane because our 430 evoker is pulling 170k hps and just applying shields all over. On the other hand I think that with having a mw monk you need to position the cds around him rather than just put him in especially with revival and yulon ramps. But yea monk requires a lot of preperations, and you can go top hps instantly when you reach that peak performance
Yeah you need to start your ramp a few seconds before the dmg so you are casting vivifies as the dmg happens, that should help you vs the evoker
@@LBNinja7 usually i agree but the evoker in my guild is 99parser on mythic and just an insane healer, although the hps of evokers will drop off since mythic has way more DMG and the shields don't help as much
@@kiwidll4018 yeah im kind of in the same boat, all of the healers in my guild are cracked out of their mind, but I realized theyre just good at beating me to the healing so i just got the timings down a bit better and now i can keep up
@@LBNinja7 yeah i have faith that mw monks will be recognized as amazing when all of us learn the proper timings of our ramps and then we can dish out insane healing

Sorry for the late question. Any suggestions for modifications to the yu'lon ramp for m+? Or is it basically the same? I ask because the number of hots seems more overkill in 5 man content, but I am very new to MW (altspec on an alt kinda thing...caster spec for fun), so was curious if it changes at all.
It's basically the same, but you could get away with only 2-3 enveloping mists! It's just better to make sure that enveloping breath is on the whole party and that everyone has renewing mists so that you capitalize with vivifies. But no, it's not always best to get env mists on all five with yulon in m+!
@@LBNinja7 Ok thank you so much! I also mainly do Brewmaster on this alt, so my haste is nearly 0, so less enveloping mists is easier to pull off, so that makes me feel better!
A Yu'lon is always a good idea on CD, right?
Yes and no, it is ideal to do that, but depending on the boss. Some bosses don't do damage until 30 seconds in, so its best to just TFT on pull then yulon 30 secs in

I tried the yulon build a couple weeks ago and I couldn't stop dying trying to get the ramp going without wasting half the rotation. I swapped back to my teachings build and did significantly better on heroic sark than I did with the yulon build. Might just be me, but I can't do the yulons.
No trust me its not just you 🤣 i still have a 9 parse on one of the bosses because ive died both weeks during prog. Just know that with practice you will become more comfortable with the casts and rotation, and that comfort will make mechanics more comfortable. There will be growing pains but if you push through them youll see a lot of growth!!
@@LBNinja7 While I agree that yulons has a higher ceiling, my guild runs two druids and a sham and myself as MW. Even if I played yulons well, I literally cannot compete or even have a chance to heal against two druids and a sham. The ramp doesn't work with that comp IMO. I was averaging 34-40k on heroic as yulons and dying constantly. Last week I ran AT with infusion, invokers delight and jade bond averaging 65-70k in heroic. And that's at only 428ilvl. So for me personally, yulons ain't happening.
@@lowtemp9053 Yeah i mean the playstyle is designed for the tier set as well so maybe give it another go after you get tier
Isn't the 4-5 enveloping mist casts because the raid has 20+ people.
I play 10-15 man, so aren't the extra casts wasted.
For now I am doing way better with the previous build, but I suppose that's just because of muscle memory. (And also because I vastly prefer it)
Partially, but the enveloping mists also make renewing mists so you have enough time after casting the first enveloping mist to cast rsk to extend those hots
so just remove font from kaybinds? I head mystical mention he doesn't even have it on his bar either?
I mean you coupd, but its always best to keep all the buttons at least somewhere. You may have to move out of melee and have nothing else to press

Man, I used to play MW and loved the casting build (5 minute soothing mists to go afk during lfr!). This expac was so difficult to learn the AT fistweave build. Now I have it down and it switches again!
I’m having SUCH a hard time with
this ramp play style. I actually ended up preferring that sort of snipe healing fistweaving offered. Having to time the ramp perfectly with damage phases and compete with resto druid HoTs ticking as well as a priest giving shields… ew. My parses are grey 💀
Not to mention it feels so weird wasting heals on people who don’t need it. Dropping HoTs on people still at full hp and vivify spamming on one person even once they’re full hp is so bizarre feeling. I feel like I’m just tossing heals and mana in the trash. Blizzard went back to talent trees to allow for more freedom in play styles, but I wish they would make it so it’s actually viable to play something other than one specific build. (Guardian druids are stuck here too)
Yeah man it's definitely different and a whole separate spec from ancient teachings! Try picking the active tank as your soothing mist target if everyone is full since they'll be taking the most damage! But yeah man I feel ypu, having to know all of the damage patterns and timings is tiring for sure

It is, but will perform lower than the faeline build!
Does this apply also to M+?
M+ still uses the standard Faeline Stomp + Ancient Teachings setup.
You could do a similar build in m+, but you care more about damage there than maximizing healing so ancient teachings faeline chiji is the best build there
Isn't it still worth it to essence font before revival?
I dont think so honestly, which is sad, but we have such low mastery nowadays that its just not worth it
@@LBNinja7 so does this make revival pretty much obsolete as a raid cooldown? Because it hits like a limp noodle without essence font. But I get what you mean about the mastery now!

Ok, I like the video. But why is ramping important? I'm not sure why we the 'meta' is going in this direction where healers are only covering certain mechanics? First disc priests, now MWs? Y'all do you, I just don't understand the logic. If you're efficient with your spells, you can be damaging and healing the entire time without going oom. Going oom? Try a mana friendlier spec. I should record to show y'all what's up.
Well the reason is because your healing should match the dage from the boss. Nowadayd bosses do more bursty damage, so we need more burst healing to deal with itm so ramping and doing more healing at the peak of the ramp is more desirable than doing steady healing all fight
