49:25 To answer why Chef Nagoya's design looks oddly cat-like, it was because he was likely designed after one of the animal friends in Kirby's Dreamland 3, Nago. Nago had some concept art drawn suggesting that he would make an appearance in the anime, but he for some reason never did, and as a result we got Chef Nagoya as this odd substitute for him. The two characters also share extremely similar names (Nago and Nagoya), also backing this theory up.
THIS. THIS IS WHY I LOVE KAWASAKI. He saved the world. He’s the one that helps Kirby protect the Halberd. He’s the one that comes up with the idea to bomb NME’s ship, destroying all of his monsters. Without him, they wouldn’t have succeeded. They wouldn’t have made it to NME’s ship. They wouldn’t have ended the war. Kirby and Kawasaki are the perfect pair. They saved the world together. My beloved. RIP to his voice actor. You will live in my heart forever.

Oh My God really dang that's insane
In college I actually conceptualized a few episodes for this show that would involve more game characters and some concepts from the modern games like Return to Dream Land or Triple Deluxe.
The first was an episode where Adeline comes to town looking for inspiration and offering commissions. When Dedede finds out she has magic paint that can bring what she draws to life, he tries to commission her to make monsters so he doesn’t have to pay Holy Nightmare anymore. She turns him down, so he steals the paint and tries it out himself. Unfortunately for Triple D, he is an awful artist, but fortunately for him, he ends up creating the anime verse version of Miracle Matter, who Kirby must rapidly swap abilities to beat, with Adeline drawing him whatever he needs to transform after she gets her paint back . Afterwards, Adeline decides to stick around, as Kirby’s duel with Miracle Matter helped her find the inspiration she was looking for and she wants to try and find more. Plus, her magic paint can also let her play support.
The second would be a “Dedede harasses Whispy” episode, but this time when he goes to try and destroy the forest, he’s confronted by Ribbon, who in this continuity is a nature fairy who’s recently returned to the area. Ribbon warns Dedede against his plan, but he of course ignores her. Ribbon rushes into town to get help, and while Fumu and Bun are talking with her, we see Kirby seeming to become infatuated with Ribbon. As Ribbon flies off back to the woods, Kirby bounds after her without any prompting, his friends behind him. Ribbon mentions that she really hopes Dedede didn’t cut down a certain grove- just as a massive crash is heard and a kaiju sized rhino beetle erupts from the forest floor. The Royal Racer lands nearby, having been flung away, and as the baddies retreat, Ribbon explains. The demon beast Hornhead was actually purchased by Dedede years before Kirby showed up, and Dedede ordered it to destroy Whispy. It failed, and Whispy and his fellow living trees imprisoned it underground with their roots, while Triple D forgot he ever ordered Hornhead at all. Dedede’s chopping has now released the beast, and it’s not very happy. Spurred on by both his desire to protect Dream Land and his new crush on Ribbon, Kirby immediately goes to fight Hornhead. While he manages to divert the demon beast away from Whispy, he can’t seem to damage him until Hornhead unleashes a swarm of miniature versions of himself. Kirby gulps one of them down and becomes Beetle Kirby from Triple Deluxe (which is also where Hornhead is from). With his new beetle wings and very sharp horn, Kirby destroys the monster after Ribbon distracts it. Ribbon decides that if there are demon beasts being summoned here, Pupupu Village is probably the best place for her to be right now so she can try and help fight them. Kirby and co are fine with this.

Okay all of these ideas are really cool to see what a reboot or a sequel would be for Kirby Right Back At Ya cause this looks fantastic if only you can show me more of this to me or something you know cause this looks fantastic I really like it
These are some really cool ideas. Now i'm kinda curious what else you cooked up because this is great!
The third one of these involves Curio unearthing what appears to be a face carved from stone into a mountain, along with what looks like a jeweled crown and two hands- one of stone and the other of crystal. Upon hearing of this, Ribbon freaks out and demands they be buried again, but Curio blows her concerns off, figuring she’s worried about him causing an avalanche or something. Dedede finds out what she’s scared of when he talks to Customer Service about the discovery, and the salesman starts jumping for joy. He explains that Curio actually uncovered two ancient demon beasts- Wham Bam Rock and Wham Bam Jewel. The two had been presumed destroyed during the war between Nightmare and the Star Warriors. Dedede asks why they don’t move, and Customer Service says they’re likely dormant from being knocked from space to Pop Star during their last fight. He sells Dedede two special jewels (at what he says is a discount) that can reawaken the duo and will make them listen to Triple D’s commands.
Meanwhile, Ribbon is explaining her backstory with the two to Kirby and co, including a horrified Meta Knight. MK notes that the Wham Bams were nearly invulnerable due to being able to rebuild themselves from the earth, and would need to be completely obliterated to be wiped out, something the Star Warriors assumed had been done when the two didn’t resurface after being blasted out of orbit during a battle. Ribbon reveals that the two survived the crash and immediately set about terrorizing the area, only to be confronted by the nature fairies, including Ribbon herself. After a difficult battle, the remaining fairies managed to trap the two under an avalanche and place them in a magical sleep.
The heroes decide to destroy the Wham Bams while they’re asleep, only to find Dedede waiting for them at the dig site with two very awake monsters. Dedede orders the monsters to smash Kirby, and a fight ensues. Ribbon eventually tries to fly in and be a distraction like with Hornhead, but this backfires on her because the Wham Bams recognize her. The stone monsters ignore Kirby and chase Ribbon away from the group, eventually managing to hit her with a devastating clap attack. Ribbon falls out of the sky, severely injured, but the heroes have finally caught up and Kirby and Meta Knight leap into action. MK prevents Ribbon from being completely crushed and takes her to safety as Kirby grabs the monsters’ attention again. Eventually he goads them into using a combined version of their finger gun attack from the games and swallows the energy they fire. The Wham Bams are finally destroyed as a vengeful Crash Kirby flies up to their faces and hits them point blank with his explosion. The group returns to town, where the still injured Ribbon is examined by Dr. Yabui. He eventually surmises that she will live, but she won’t be joining in any action for a while. Adeline volunteers to look after her as she recovers, since she can create items with her magic paint that will help Ribbon heal, and she demonstrates by creating a Maxim Tomato. The episode ends as Ribbon happily munches away at the healing tomato and Kirby gives her a big hug. (And an extra iris appears showing Customer Service comically sobbing over the Wham Bam’s destruction)
Imagine if we got a fight scene with Dedede, Escargoan, and chef Kawasaki vs Customer service
Wow. Imagine that.
Fun fact: Devil Kirby has a cameo in Star Allies, through a menu option in The Ultimate Choice mode. This makes the buff Dedede form in that episode, a bit funnier looking back

Finally. The Devil Frog review. I shouldn't have watched that in a dark room at night as a kid. Gave me nightmares.
Tbh the cooking robot episode is one of my favourites purely because it’s one of the few that gives any personality to Sword and Blade Knight
I think the animation episode is one of the times where no one would complain about 4kids censoring some thing. Also, they censored the power drink episode to remove change the main ingredient to something that isn’t a reference to cocaine
The "animation" episode was originally to made to make fun of the Japanese Otaku culture at the time (well mostly Japan, the US Otaku culture can be put here as well) instead of a full animation episode as it also mostly represent how anime/manga fans make parodies of official characters, like high level fanfiction/fans service, common in Japan. As a kid when this air on 4kids, I didn't really think about it but now, I can say I am a bit uncomfortable. Especially the Japanese dub later on.
@@sonpo6177 I don’t think they could explain what that culture is plus that thing with the busty tiff them censoring that is one of the reasons I don’t think people don’t mind the changes plus sometimes in other shows a thing for kids changed was for the better here are two examples from winx club The first there’s this scene in one episode, where one of main characters boyfriend is struck down in the original. He is killed and then brought back to life and they never explained it 4kids just made it a sleeping beauty type spell which fits the scene and gets rid of a weird plot hole the second example is when the girls visit earth in the original. A police officer asked them why they’re not in school the girls give out explanation that their parents gave them permission. This may be different in Europe but I doubt that would work in the US so here one of the girls just speaks a language to make it seem like the girls aren’t from around here. The point is sometimes A translation has to find ways to get the scene across if they don’t think the context makes sense

The meaning of one scene’s context in one place would get changed (or lost) to fit broadcasting rules of another or making it simple for convenient work around for some parts (don’t know the word for it). It doesn’t happen much now but it’s common in the earlier days of showing shows overseas. As for certain places, it depends on country’s broadcasting rules or who is localizing it for said country.
@@sonpo6177 well, sometimes a change depends on how long the scene is like an example from another dub from a different company bobo there’s a scene where with some beans in the original there of food that is considered to have an acquired taste but since I don’t think they they were common so in the US at the time or even now, to be honest, I don’t think most would get the joke, so they changed it to fit the timeframe and to show that they are disgusting
While the last season definitely had some strange episodes with Dedede having repressed urges about escargoon and the social commentary on weaboo sexual creepieness I still liked this final season and do think it went off with a bang.

So, the Painting episode, in the English version of the episode, has the Earth Paintings actually vandalized a bit already when they show up. Probably because either 4Kids Censorship or 4Kids being worried about...copyright, maybe? But yeah! Worth taking a quick look to see them like that!

Btw I think you didn't noticed it, but Dedede is partially naked in the anime. Compare him to his design from the games and you'll see.

If I were to rewrite the ending for Kirby RBAY, I would replace the star rod with the ULTRA SWORD which would tease it being a eventual ability for Kirby in RTDL. The scenario could happen in many different ways:
1. nearby sword is in Kirby's dream as a reference to the 4th episode of S1 and Kirby uses the combination ability gimmick from Crystal shards.
2.a mysterious looking sword just so happens to be in his dream. Which one do you think is better?
If the Ultra Sword was introduced in the anime, the audience would have gone CRAZY

So KRBAY's last five episodes (along with the Wolfwrath one, for whatever reason) were all packaged together on DVD as the Kirby "movie", interestingly given the name of the the final episode, "Fright to the Finish." I definitely didn't watch *every* episode of KRBAY back in the day, but I did see most of them at some point, and my parents got me the movie DVD, which became my favorite movie ever as a kid. While I can definitely see all the plot holes and questionable points in it now, I still look back on it really fondly, and I'm glad to have gone on this journey of re-experiencing KRBAY in all its glory and faults with your videos. Keep up the great work!
One really nice touch is included in the second to last episode. When the Halberd is flying at lightspeed, "Above the Halberd" from Kirby Super Star can be heard.
Well, we've made it! Watching this whole thing has made me think about how certain modern characters would work in the setting. Though, all I've truly got is Marx being a con artist jester and having a recurring role before he does his usual villain stuff, Return to Dreamland being a giant scavenger hunt for the ship parts with diffierent odd teams of characters across Dreamland, and Escargoon accompanying Kirby on the journey up the Dreamstalk in a Triple Deluxe arc.
Okay that would be cool just seeing Kirby Tiff, and Tuff and some of the characters join them on an adventure to stop Marx which that would be cool for what a sequel for it would look like that would be cool to see

An anime with so much potential, yet they just decided to needlessly extend its length with so many unnecessary episodes and an anticlimactic conclusion, at least I had fun, it honestly kinda makes me wish for a new Kirby adaptation(another anime or even a movie) to see what they can do now with more source material and more games they can get inspiration from. Thanks for making this series of videos, it made me appreciate the show a lot more and will love to see what you do next
Yeah Kirby Right Back At Ya was a really good and adorable show to watch on UA-cam but if Nintendo and HAL Labortory do a reboot for Kirby Right Back At Ya it would be cool like having the original characters like Kirby, King Dedede, Meta Knight, Tiff, Tuff, Escargoon, Sir Ebrum, Lady Like, and the Cappytown Citizens and also adding new Kirby Characters like Bandana Waddle Dee, Adeleine, Ribbon, Marx, Magolor, Taranza, Susie, Elline, The Three Mage Sisters, Elfilin, Clawroline, The Beast Pack, Galacta Knight, the four colored Kirbies Red, Yellow, Blue, and Green, Shadow Kirby, and even more. So it would be cool if they did do a reboot for it but they need to keep Tiff, Tuff, and Escargoon and not replace them or get rid of them since their not in the Kirby canon but they should be. And also not making Kirby talk at all just make him keep saying Poyo and that will be fine.
And also Okay so I know that we have a Kirby Movie based off of Kirby Right Back At Ya which was Kirby Fright to the Finish so I don’t know if the second one is going to be about Kirby Right Back At Ya again or the Kirby Games or both cause if they do both how would they compromise it? Cause what I think the story could be about Kirby as cute pink puffball baby that says Poyo and does not fully talk crash lands into Dreamland and then Tiff and Tuff come up to Kirby and they take good care of him because I mean in the anime Kirby did crash landed into Dreamland and then he meets Tiff and Tuff so Nintendo needs to add Tiff and Tuff in the Movie since Fright to the Finish so Tiff and Tuff take good care of Kirby and then King Dedede alongside his snail servant Escargoon and the Waddle Dee with a Bandana on his head and his spear Bandana Waddle Dee. And then King Dedede orders the Waddle Dees to take all the food in Dreamland and then Kirby, Tiff, and Tuff noticed this so then they take Kirby to see Meta Knight so that he can train him to take down King Dedede but Kirby has to take down some the famous bosses that Kirby has to face like Whispy Woods, Kracko, Lololo and Lalala, Kabula, Heavy Mole, and Mr. Shine and Mr. Bright and then Kirby takes on King Dedede and when the fight was over King Dedede was being possessed by an unknown figure which is Dark Matter and his leader Zero which he wants to takeover Dreamland and Planet Popstar so then Kirby takes down Dark Matter and takes on Zero in an Epic Battle which Kirby uses the Lovestick or the Starrod to take down Zero and when Kirby defeated Zero Tiff and Tuff celebrate Kirby for his victory against Zero and also Meta Knight congratulates Kirby as well for his win and then King Dedede tells Kirby sorry for attacking him and then Kirby hugs him and then King Dedede decides to be friends with Kirby and then in the post credit scene it shows Zero turning into his second form 02 or maybe Marx shows up standing on his ball. So yeah that’s what I think the Kirby Movie should be like and yeah.

@connorj1165 How about the Inazuma Eleven series by Level-5? It, too, is based on the soccer RPG series of the same name, and the original trilogy was adapted for a total of 127 episodes. However, after the first 127 episodes, the series just hasn't been the same because Level-5 got greedy and made the GO trilogy, which felt like it was lacking what made the original trilogy so special in the first place (GO: Chrono Stone is a guilty pleasure of mine from the GO trilogy).

You can blame Japan. But Japan originally made that episode to make fun of the Japanese Otaku culture at the time as satire, parodying old anime tropes. This thing of over "you-know-what" is common in Japan and still to this day as high level parodies, though I think it is safe to say that pedophilia fan work or fan "fan service" is NOT allowed.

One thing I'll always keep in mind concerning this show is something Meta Knight says at the very end of the Devil Kirby episode.
"The time Kirby truly gets angry is when the justice of the universe is crushed underfoot."
Sure, on the surface it's a cool Meta Knight line... but what does Kirby do during the final boss fights in Return to Dreamland and onward? He gets angry. He yells. "The justice of the universe has been crushed underfoot", and Kirby's letting the villains know they've crossed the line. That's what I've decided it means, anyways.
All I'll say regarding the ending is that Kirby's warp star is the source of his power, and of all the demon beasts in his retinue, Kirby was the one that Nightmare couldn't control. So I kinda see how Kirby returning a part of his body to himself could lead to Nightmare's defeat, it's just not explained or set up very well.
Also, Nightmare would end up coming back; his voice actor would return as Parallel Nightmare for Super Team Kirby Clash!
I LOVE how Nightmare has no lipsync at all and is ALWAYS smiling.
That in itself is a literal NIGHTMARE. Lol
I like to think the face is basically clothing and the real body is the stars and darkness in the cloak and glasses.

Honestly, we would love to see the show adapted other Kirby games that were released.
The show is primarily based of Adventure with Nightmare being the main threat, with elements from other games being put in like Super Star.
Imagine if they made a multi-party story based on Milky Way Wishes, where Kirby and the gang go to other worlds to gain help from others against Nightmare, and maybe stop a plot that they think Nightmare is doing, but it's actually Marx (who told them it was maybe Nightmare), who isn't with Nightmare and is just another evil force in the universe. Maybe have Nova survive and give Kirby a clue about the Star Rod.
Yeah if their was a Season 5 for Kirby Right Back At Ya if it kept going then it would be cool to see Kirby, Tiff, Tuff, King Dedede, Bandana Waddle Dee, Escargoon, and Meta Knight trying to find Nightmare but then secretly seeing that it was Marx who tricked them and they have an epic battle now that would be cool to see. But yeah they should keep Tiff, Tuff, and Escargoon in there cause I don't know why people do not care about these characters at all but I do and it would be cool to see them back again in a reboot of Kirby Right Back At Ya. Kirby Right Back At Ya was one of the best cutest anime shows that Nintendo and HAL Laboratory has ever made and it's sad that we didn't get to see any of the full episodes of Kirby Right Back At Ya on UA-cam since Nintendo decides to block them all but it would be cool if Nintendo and HAL Laboratory did make a reboot for Kirby Right Back At Ya like having the original characters like Kirby, King Dedede, Meta Knight, Tiff, Tuff, Escargoon, Sir Ebrum, Lady Like, and the Cappytown Citizens and also adding new Kirby Characters like Bandana Waddle Dee, Adeleine, Ribbon, Marx, Magolor, Taranza, Susie, Elline, The Three Mage Sisters, Elfilin, Clawroline, The Beast Pack, Galacta Knight, the four colored Kirbies Red, Yellow, Blue, and Green, Shadow Kirby, and even more. So I hope they do make reboot for Kirby Right Back At Ya since Nintendo is now doing entertainment which is doing Movies and TV Shows like The Super Mario Bros Movie so hopefully we do get a reboot for Kirby Right Back At Ya. But Nintendo and HAL Laboratory they should not just let Tiff, Tuff, and Escargoon go because it would be cool seeing them in the Kirby Canon like in the games cause I know Escargoon and NME were in Mass Attack but not Tiff and Tuff so why not add them in the Kirby Games since the Anime is now done. I’ve been wait for this since the the retrospectives began.
I actually had a theory that is so dark that I'm not even sure if HAL or UA-cam is going to accept this in a video. Basically I theorized that Galacta Knight is in fact a future version of Anime!Kirby from a bad future timeline where he failed to stop Nightmare's reign of terror.
If you think this theory is silly and based on the Metal Sonic is Sonic Roboticized theory (because it is) then just ask yourselves the questions, why was Galacta Knight introduced sometime after Kirby RBAY concluded? Why is he so powerful enough to tap into the power of both light and darkness?
I actually heard that Galacta Knight is Meta Knight's father as well. So basically, Kirby is the baby version of Meta Knight's father. Could it be that in the original timeline, Meta Knight wasn't involved, and due to not being able to activate his powers, Kirby lost that day? I suppose so, so time travel would be used. Hey, I can have a crazy theory too, it ain't no shame.

Gosh 2 hours of the kirby anime retrospective was such a treat! Find it very comedic sometimes the way you'd add a lil' funny comment at certain parts of the retrospective. It really felt like I was rewatching all these episodes with how quick and concise you are with bringing all the relevant details of each episode. I was definitely anticipating your reaction to...quite a bit ODD episodes that I can't believe were pitched in as a KIRBY episode of all things lmao. The escargoon shell shocked episode, plus the 2nd animation episode which.. yeah
This season definitely had some interesting episodes that I consider my favorite, two in particular that come to mind are the robot escargoon and devil Kirby. Speaking of which I gotta say hearing the japanese ost and witnessing the hero of the show go rampage on everyone definitely brought chills down my spine as a kid lmao, used to find his devil face very disturbing.
Overall a very nice retrospective and looking forward to seeing more from you in the future!!

Yeah I do wish we had more episodes with Nightmare since he was only in one episode of the third season and was beaten too easily in the finale and the English version cut out his final scene implying he did die when he turned to dust, we also never got confirmation if it was Kirby or Meta Knight that was the monster that refused to obey Nightmare. What’s weird is in the English version Nightmare’s had several voices all done by the same guy, in Episode 1, 9, and 17 his voice is deep like the Japanese voice but then in Episode 14, 40, and 41 it’s this slimy whispery Joker-esque voice that fits well but in the tv version of episode 100 his voice is loud, scratchy, and high pitched, the dvd version has his voice actor redub his lines in episode 97, 99, and 100 doing the same voice he did in episode 14-41 which was the more memorable and a good decision on 4kids to keep the voice somewhat consistent.
Its surprising how 4kids had Nightmare die but the Japanese version reveals he’s still alive, sure they removed Customer Service’s scream when he died in the explosion but it’s pretty clear he died too, you’d think 4kids would have Nightmare still be alive instead of the other way around
Maybe they thought that Nightmare was too evil to keep alive? Funnily enough, I thought that the deaths were reversed, since they took out Customer Service's scream. It would be interesting if the 4Kids version actually had the higher body count.

One thing I would have done to make more episodes meaningful are to make the holy nightmare company go all out on the assault, deploying monsters from above and to the ground, that way other charecters would get their fair share of the battle and shows everyone's efforts on stopping the invasion in the final arc, people like dyna blade and the birds putting their effort in to destroy the destroyyas, bonkers, that one sheep, the entire forrest, that one ninja who now strong and has a team, kine, the penguins, and etc among the other charecters that do help putting their own effort on stopping the ground troops, cappies will try to help after they rally up together in their own ways of fighting back which are call backs to older episodes, gus and mosso riding on their bikes, yabui acting as medic, and etc. Assistance from other planets can also come with princess rona, the ancestors who help forge galaxia, and etc. But the tragic tale behind the finally is so sad, RIP to those who died

I remember watching the final episode myself years ago and even then I was like "...that....that's it?" It was so anticlimactic and wasn't even a fight. Nightmare didn't even attack and was taken out with something that had zero foreshadowing. I wished there was an actual even fight between the 2 and that the Star Rod was better executed. Just kinda wreaks of rushed and as of today I know why unfortunately. I really hate judging something negatively when the context shows that there were understandable reasons for it, but I also can't lie and say I really enjoyed it. I wish Right Back at Ya got an ending to be proud of.
For that matter, I wish the Kirby anime had an anime to be proud of. Now don't get me wrong, KRBaY isn't bad, there are plenty of episodes that are just kinda boring but that's part of the problem. A good amount of this series (namely seasons 3 and 4) are just boring. What makes this worse is that there was precedent for there to be so much more with the Star Warrior lore earlier on. I would've love to see it expanded upon, meet some more Star Warriors, look more into Meta Knight's past, see what goes into Demon Beasts and have more of them tied to actually taking out Star Warriors rather than filling whatever niche Dedede needs done then going to attack Kirby. I don't necessarily want every episode to be condensed with lore. Season 1 I think is fine to have mostly episodes establishing Cappy Town and still have those episodes sprinkled throughout this hypothetical lore heavy series. It just feels like began to lean to what could be seen as filler for the entire series, even down to shoving it's title character to the side to meander until it needs to blow something up. It's honestly kinda sad to see cause the games are more focused on action even before the modern games and their lore stuff.
I was actually surprised to see some episodes this far into the anime. The uncomfortable duo being back to back was a very unwelcome surprise. These 2 actually cross the line from boring to bad with an episode that I guess could be seen as funny for the time but I see no way to enjoy 3 adult men stalking and creating their fantasized version of a gradeschooler. Especially in Kirby where it doesn't really have anything that would even lead to either of those episodes existing.
Thankfully, I was cleansed with what I consider one of the best episodes in the series. Season 4 episode 17 is truly a treat and really shows a lot for Dedede. I am a massive Dedede fan and a lot of that initial love came from the anime as a whole but particularly this episode. This episode really showed off that Dedede really could be like professor Chip said. An angry little man who wasn't given attention and craves it more than anything else. I understand the king has done heinous actions that have nothing to do with this but most of the time (especially when devolving into the "fad comes to dreamland, Dedede takes it to 11" structure) he just wants to show off so that people will listen to him. Hell this episode doesn't even have him be super malicious, he just wants appreciation and the episode would've been over if the gift he was given by the one person that could appreciate him didn't give him a literal hollow gift. Even after he lashes out and "pranks back", he calms down believeing it to be all in good fun only to genuinely cry when he realises the person he's been trying to (you know I had to do this) clobber might actually have died and shows relief at it being a joke and somewhat valuing the dynamic they have. It's almost like Dedede doesn't want to be this way but feels like he has to because no one will notice or respect him if he isn't. How many times has he thought there would be a revolution. Dedede really is the best and most fleshed out character in this series despite constantly reverting with the status quo. There's enough consistently there to make this way too long analysis feasible.

I thought Kirby right back at ya was an awesome show and I'm making a fanfic continuation based on Kirby's return to Dreamland and Kirby's Dreamland 2 and just so you will know, this will explain the origins of King Dedede the Waddle Dees and Nightmare I think this will be amazing and I hope whoever reads it will like it too.

As you mention season 4 having the worst of almost everything it explains why I remember the mummy episode, the prank episode and final episodes of the show. I watched all 100 episodes on YT from Oct 2015 - Apr 2016 and I remember why it took me long to finish watching all 100 episodes.
Just a thing for the Otaku episode. That episode was to make fun of the Japanese Otaku culture at the time (well mostly Japan, the US Otaku culture can be put here as well) and yeah it was definitely a product of it's time. As a kid when this air on 4kids, I didn't really think about it but now, I can say I am a bit uncomfortable. Especially the Japanese dub later on. Yes, Hoshi no Kirby/Kirby Right Back at Ya is a parody and satire anime but it would only seem to work in Japan culture, if they still would allow this which would be likely cause of old uncomfortable anime tropes still present today.
One can only imagine how hard 4 kids try to make this more suitable for...kids.
I think it would of been better if, they replaced the episode of Escargoon’s shell breaking with an episode of meta knight’s mask breaking, that would be more interesting >:)

If there’s one thing I can give “Tooned Out,” it’s that it never takes the Otakings’ side in the conflict. It seems the characters are meant to embody the worst aspects of Otaku culture for the show to riff on. Even so, the show is pretty facetious about the whole thing, probably because it feels like it _has_ to, lest the tone it’s maintained consistently for so long takes an unexpectedly dark turn. _KOTS/KRBAY_ was never properly equipped to deliver this sort of commentary, despite whatever message it wanted to tell.
Also, dear lord, the hefty Otaking reminds me too much of Bubble Bass. And with Bass serving as a mouthpiece for nerd culture in the pre-teen-and-up _SpongeBob_ seasons, the association is even stronger. XU
