The neighborhood I grew up in JBER never has kids outside even in the summer. When I was elementary school age there were kids everywhere

It must be expensive to heat those mobile homes in the winter.
All depends, some are really well insulated, and some are not. My old wasn’t insulated so well, I think my winter bill was around $150-200$
Grew up near Lake Otis & Tudor in the early 90's. Sure was a different time. Yards were not fenced, we played football in the streets, floated and fished Campbell creek. Hope things get better for the future on Anchorage's East side.
A majority of all trailer courts in Anchorage. Foreign families took over, especially bragaw and pine.
You got out when the getting was good. So many changes in Anchorage and not many for the better. Our Mayor and council members are the shlts!

12th and gamble is my old neighborhood.
Its sad how things change. I rode with my dad a few yrs back to look at old neighborhood/trailer park where we lived when i was born in the 70s. I listened to him talk about the past and how great it was. Great living for young family starting out and seniors. The old guy managing did not put up with mess. If you couldn't pay rent on time or keep grass cut or pick up trash or just keep things looking good, youll get a warning. After that, hed pull your trailer to the road with his 3 cylinder john deer. But you ought to see the place now. Glad we moved out. Thanks for the tour.
