- I found it astonishing that we dont find more information about the shape of wing foiling wings. In this video we are trying to make some sense of different wing shapes, aspect ratios, angles and other dimensions.

Very nice video. Check out the GONG website with good explanation of the new wings which shape is used for a specific purpise. On the GONG website they also have lots of information about the foils and the user. Keep the videos coming. Ciao

Yes! Yes! Yes! Thank you for asking these questions. It's the elephant in the room 🐘! I think wing design is quite complicated because it's so dynamic and your have limited material choices. They flex a lot compared to a foil or windsurf sail or kite so getting the right balance between all the competing design priorities must be harder to engineer across the range. I suspect that the different brands are probably protecting their knowledge by not sharing the details, but you are starting to see really different shapes wings being released. Interesting to follow...

I would say we need more Traction, not Lift. When I used to kite buggy, you want traction to pull you along, lift would just pull you of the seat of the buggy. I guess the lift is just for when and if you turn into a jump you want to hold the wing above you and fly. So should we be looking at two types of wings, Traction or Lift.
