I light a cigarette. On the desk is a hardback novel. Heat 2, by Michael Mann. It lays open to the first page. I am alone, but not lonely.
I keep coming back to this, it's just so damn atmospheric. I almost feel as if I'm sitting in that coffee shop, along side Hanna and MaAuley. Not saying anything, but just reflecting on life and the decisions that led us to where we are.
Hands down, HEAT was the most spectacular crime thriller ever made for the big screen. Michael Mann is a genius.

I love the calm and cool air that that follows a heavy rain storm. The absolute perfect time to read or listen to ambience and reflect.
