My first reacion, at the Opening, was, "Wow! ("Attack...Panic," of course) Somebody got up on the Wrong Side of the Cave." Not for the Squeamish....or when you're running low on Prozac. Yet then toward the end we are forced into deep contemplation of our miserable destiny. BRAVO from Acapulco!

I hope that at least some of this brilliant music makes it into the Oppenheimer movie.

No, just bad. In the present cultural vacuum, there are few great composers.
At the Beginning i can imagine the Fallout of Atomic Explosion..
Could also be the beginning of Zimmermann's "Soldiers"
if it didn't have the title Dr. Atomic and were just a symphony- it's pretty long winded and annoying. not spectacular music at all.
