I love this retake a lot since it's got a proper feeling of what a sequel should have been. And the usage of it being Sonic 2 not only because of Sonic 2 Pink Edition but also because Sonic.exe is technically Sonic 1, which is perfect.

I like that they redid the whole game from scratch, my only complaint is Sally’s part. Your telling me that she’s watching her whole kingdom burn to the ground, yet suspiciously the only person around is Sonic, and yet she still has the time to kiss Sonic, AND let him pick her up and throw her in lava… so many opportunities she could have escaped yet she kinda just let herself get killed so easily. That’s just me though, great gameplay
