The 3D printed hand used in the video was first presented in the following paper: D. J. A. Brenneis, M. R. Dawson, P. M. Pilarski, “Development of the HANDi Hand: An Inexpensive, Multi-Articulating, Sensorized Hand for Machine Learning Research in Myoelectric Control,” Proc. of MEC’17: Myoelectric Controls Symposium, Fredericton, New Brunswick, August 15-18, 2017.
The open source files and license information for the HANDi Hand are available on Github: github.com/bli...
when you buy the ultra nano servo HS-35HD ? some link to buy ?? y search this in all parts of the web and not can found page por buy this servo , help me ??
Unfortunately the engines do not seem to be produced anymore. I could not find them anymore.
Great project! Very inspiring! One question: do you have a estimate for the power consumption of the hand?
I don't think we have measured the power consumption during normal operation with the hand fully running. However, we have tested the Hitec HS-35HD servos used in the hand individually and found that they can draw up to 170 mA @ 5VDC per servo when stalling, 7 mA @ 5 VDC when idle, and 70 mA @ 5VDC when moving without load. If you add in the power consumption of the arduino driving the motors then that is an extra 30 mA @ 5 VDC. Since the hand has 6 servos then an estimate of the max power consumption is about 170 mA x 6 servos + 30 mA arduino = 1050 mA @ 5VDC. Similarly, the typical current draw while moving can be estimated to be 450 mA @ 5VDC and at idle only about 72 mA @ 5VDC.
@@BLINClab Thanks a lot for the reply. That estimate makes sense.
i want this type artificial hand plz contact number
The power consumption of the hand and the engines is low but I never made a real estimate. We are currently implementing the entire control part in an Arduino and this should reduce the overall power consumption, as the control had been on a portable computer for the first prototype, which leads to a high consumption.
@@henningmuller7246 It's good to hear that the project is ongoing. Looking forward to see further development. Thanks for the reply!
Which kind of material is this
The robotic hand is 3D printed in hard plastic. This is required for the rigidity of the pieces. We then use a soft plastic to cover the inner part of the had as this allows a much better grip of hard objects. We have experimented with slight differences in the materials in our prototypes to optimize things.
"Dear Lindomar,
there are indeed also prosthesis for single or all fingers. These are usually custom-made and companies such as Otto Bock propose them to regain functionality. As for full hand prosthesis there are cosmetic ones, body-powered and sEMG controlled prostheses. We have never worked on them ourselves but it might be good to check with a rehabilitation clinic regarding the possibilities, as these are really personalised and not produced in large quantities. Sorry if I can not help more on this. On the web you can find more by Googling "finger prosthesis".
Do you have the coding?
The open source files and license information for the HANDi Hand are available on Github: github.com/blincdev/HANDi-Hand
Sure, we can share most of the code of the different parts. We currently reprogram it for an Arduino and this is maybe best for an actual reuse. Most of the data are available on ninapro.hevs.ch.
Do you tell me sensor name??
Myoware hand band
The prototype shown uses the Myo armband, but unfortunately the company stopped producing them. There are a few similar models that have become available but we have not tested them.
