If I remember correctly, it showed you had wealth because you could afford two beds or something weird like that. I love the concept either way - I'm a very restless sleeper!
My husband and I have slept in separate rooms for over 16 years now. It's nice to see we are not alone, as I have been so insecure about this in the past. We actually have a better marriage this way, because he snores so much. I do miss him in the night though, but sleep is just so important for mental health!
It used to be very normal! My Nan and Grandpa had separate bedrooms their whole married life (50+ years) bc he was a snorer lol. Like a lot of things,I can definitely see this coming back into "fashion" too haha!
I'm a 71 year old bibliophile and for decades have always had several books going simultaneously . It feels soooo good to do that! I have stacks of books in my bedroom and it gives me such comfort. If I get close to the end of a book, I stop reading it and start reading another book to take it's place when it the current one is at it's end so my period of mourning over the loss of that book's story is truncated. Heading things off before the pass.
Instead of paper towels, may I suggest buying a whole stack of soft washcloths and use them to dry your face - you can use one side in the morning and the other side at night, then you can throw them straight in the wash and it’s way better for the environment!
I absolutely love love love that this isn't Christmas on crack video. I have also had to learn how to like the winter months. 40+ years in the great white north and I still don't LOVE the winter or snow. But I have learned to move through it and enjoy it for what it is. Comfort food, walking in the snow and listening to the crunchy sounds underfoot.
Setting boundaries with my phone and news sources is literally one of the best things I've ever done for both my sleep and my mental health! 200/10 would recommend!!!

Yes. You can sleep together when you want and then don’t have to when you want to have your own space and sleep at different times etc. also it makes the together nights more special IMO. I don’t think it has anything to do with closeness it has to do with wanting your own space within the life you share with someone. It’s not for everyone but it’s completely 100% fine and normal.

Aww I feel ya about craving normalcy in a job, I used to teach English online to students in China and I worked 10-13 hour days over the weekend with 8 hour days during the week (the middle of the night) Starting work at 5pm and finishing and finishing at finishing at 6am, going to sleep just to wake up and do it all over again. The problem is that this song gets stuck in my head for weeks afterwards. I'm not surprised that it's in your video. Even though it's already April, I ordered Nigel's Christmas Chronicles so I don't forget. I love all Christmas books. Even though you can't hear the birds, I do love that you can walk to the library or get a coffee. Here in my development you can't get anywhere without a car.
Hi, I love your content so much. It helped me a lot during the past year. About this video I have only too things to add : Dollhouses were not toys in those days. They were very valuable: made with expensive materials and furnished by skilled cabinet makers. Their goal was to 'show off' but also to provided the women of the home a sort of simulation on how to manage the household. It was real business. So there is nothing weird about it. The book only makes it sound weird. But I live in Flanders and have many interests in Dutch history. Second. In my experience having two small towels by your sink is enough. One only for the hands and the other only for the face. I had acne in the past and this method helped. Paper towels are also not so ecological and take up space in the cabinet and bin. 8:32 I ordered microfiber wash cloths off Amazon and this was very helpful. You can get a pack of them, throw them in the hamper/washing machine, and get a new one for your next face wash. This way your not going through paper towels.
three drinks at breakfast are not too odd. I normally have either peppermint, green or grey earl tea, along with water and Cranberries juice or Black current and like you, I like to mix my breakfast around so I'm not stuck in a rut of eating the same thing over and over again. Sometimes I'll have porridge, with cut-up lady smith apple, then sometimes I'll just have toast with raspberry jam and apple on the side, or I might have just an Apple depending on what time I have in the morning or if I am struggling with eating (I have IBS) so some mornings I can eat a great deal and others not so much.... but I always have apples... love Apples.

We are so lucky in my state bc library fines were wiped away forever. Now I'm really terrible and do hoard books a little too long. One of the best things I ever did for my acne was kick foundation to the curb. That stuff really messed with my skin.

I finished the book and I still don’t know if it was set in Scotland or England but I think that’s just because the author never made the location very prevelant? At one point someone has a scottish accent and she talks about going up north but then other characters don’t have scottish accents, or maybe I just wasn’t paying enough attention 😂

Came here to say this! I have a large stack of towels in my bathroom specifically so I can change them daily.
Or you can totally skip drying your face altogether. Just put your moisturizer on wet skin to really lock in the hydration .

About this video I have only too things to add : Dollhouses were not toys in those days. They were very valuable: made with expensive materials and furnished by skilled cabinet makers. Their goal was to 'show off' but also to provided the women of the home a sort of simulation on how to manage the household. It was real business. So there is nothing weird about it. The book only makes it sound weird. But I live in Flanders and have many interests in Dutch history.
Second. In my experience having two small towels by your sink is enough. One only for the hands and the other only for the face. I had acne in the past and this method helped. Paper towels are also not so ecological and take up space in the cabinet and bin. Take care and many warm regards

Winter is both my favorite and least favorite season, seasonal depression gets to me as the days are shorter and it's dark by 4 pm, but I love the snow and the decorations and the smells. And of course your beautiful videos really help me love winter even more

8:32 I ordered microfiber wash cloths off Amazon and this was very helpful. You can get a pack of them, throw them in the hamper/washing machine, and get a new one for your next face wash. This way your not going through paper towels.
three drinks at breakfast are not too odd. I normally have either peppermint, green or grey earl tea, along with water and Cranberries juice or Black current and like you, I like to mix my breakfast around so I'm not stuck in a rut of eating the same thing over and over again.
Sometimes I'll have porridge, with cut-up lady smith apple, then sometimes I'll just have toast with raspberry jam and apple on the side, or I might have just an Apple depending on what time I have in the morning or if I am struggling with eating (I have IBS) so some mornings I can eat a great deal and others not so much.... but I always have apples... love Apples.

We are so lucky in my state bc library fines were wiped away forever. Now I'm really terrible and do hoard books a little too long. One of the best things I ever did for my acne was kick foundation to the curb. That stuff really messed with my skin.

I finished the book and I still don’t know if it was set in Scotland or England but I think that’s just because the author never made the location very prevelant? At one point someone has a scottish accent and she talks about going up north but then other characters don’t have scottish accents, or maybe I just wasn’t paying enough attention 😂
