Damn, sorry to hear your horrible experience in the hobby shop you went to. Its a good thing that you decided not to go there anymore. Their customer service sounds ass. Hopefully you'll find some other hobby shop that has nice enough workers. Thanks for your review on this truck!
The 4WS really cuts down the turning circle quite a bit and makes the truck very nimble. On the downside, the rear end tends to wander around quite a lot because as soon as the wheels hit any kind of obstruction they turn a little bit. Stronger servos might help with this but I didn't try that yet. See my High Lift in action by checking the videos at channel BlackSeaRC.
I think Black is an excellent choice for this truck. This is totally badass. I wanted that Hilux from Back to the Future when I was a kid. Your old r/c truck is so much bigger. Can't wait to see this thing run
you can build an rc version of marty's through rc4wd they offer a fully detailed toyota xtracab body for the trailfinder 2 chassis , it has full interior , opening hood , doors , tailgate , its beautiful , i may build one if i ever find enough money lol
It really depends on what the buyer is looking for in an rc , if you want an rc to upgrade , i would say no , its not worth it , mainly because you really cannot get many upgrade parts for it so you have to retrofit rc4wd parts to it , and after its all said n done you will have a very expensive bruiser clone lol wich you can buy for less than the cost of this rc , for a neat scale vehicle i would say yea go ahead but it is still gonna need some work to be drvable at top speed since all the steering components have a mile of slop in them , i actually sold mine right after this video at a massive loss without really ever driving it cause i realized it was a money pit , by the time everything is upgraded it will be well over a thousand dollars and you will be afraid to drive it being that it cost so much
Hi , I’m looking for a engine splash guard , Lexus LX570 2010 , did you know where I can buy one, aluminum 1 piece , so I replace the 3 pieces I have .. is annoying
I prefer the plain black version. The camo one just looked wrong to me. Also not sure that the materials are cheaper. Could be, but when comparing to my tundra high lift, I could not really tell. 2 leave springs had some surface rust. That’s all I could find. The hardware also looked good. When I stripped it down and built it up, none of the hex screws stripped. But the radio feels and looks cheap.
The materials are cheaper , the first time i drove it all 4 hex wheel adapters crumbled to pieces , after i replaced those i noticed cracks in the rear leaf spring blocks , the parts just fall apart in your hands , ive been slowly replacing everything with either real tamiya parts or billit aluminum
I decided to take the front bumper off mine to get a better scale look. I removed all the screws except one and wondered why it wouldn't come out. It seems they stripped the thread from one of the holes on the main chassis rails so just hid a nut on the back of one of the screws instead! I like my camo version, it looks great when operating in the scenery around the Black Sea. Check the videos on my channel, BlackSeaRC, to see my HG-P417 in action.
Super cool scale ! At the time the Toyota wasn't available so it was the Ford F 350 instead. Nice truck you purchased 👍in my opinion, screw hobby town who cares what they say. You can find a cheap Gyro receiver & it helps to maintain control with the 4 wheel steering.
i plan on making a video of this truck as soon as my beadlocks come in the mail they should be here any day now , Heck yea screw those guys i tried not to let it bother me but since this happened right when my best friend passed away and i was looking for something to take my mind off of it their comments couldn't have come at a worse time , il admit that i let those disrespectful turds spoil it for me for a while , btw thanks for the tip i am going to look into a gyro receiver
@@TheRandomMechanic Sorry for your loss & don't let that crap from hobby shop bother you bro, they probably when't home & ordered them one. I made the same mistake you did & was proud & bragging about mine at my local store when I was looking for upgrades. Kept asking what it was lol
I appreciate you checking on me , im hanging in there , finally decided to pretty much give up on the youtube dream for several reasons mainly the neighborhood has gotten so bad that filming would be impossible , some health issues have come up so ive been dealing with that , plus the wife has been highly against the youtube thing since we met and frankly im tired of fighting about it lol

Saw U at a lake when Adventure with Purpose when they were pulling cars out of the lake . Thank for helping them .
Any hobby store who treats people/customers like that have no real fan base and should get a life props to you brother
Just now found out about you on AWP from 3yrs ago...cool!
Nuts to that hobby shop. I went to a hobby town near me, and they weren't like that. It's the employees at yours.
Really like the trucks and cool bench review, been here since the metal 'Hazzard' custom cars, finally joined, thanks.

That's a nice truck!
Great video man.
Cool truck, will be nice to see it turning with 4 wheel steer

Any updates? I'd like to see the axle swap since I want to change mine

@@TheRandomMechanic the good thing is NECA makes great-looking version of Marty McFly in 1/10th scale. Would make for a great driver inside.
@@PrinceofMacedonVlogs DUDE !! i didnt even think of that , Now i have to build one lol
@@TheRandomMechanic lol you'd do an amazing job with it too. You could also put the dealership banner on it too lol
