Jack Semple you are incredible. If you read these Jack, Thankyou for where your music takes me. Your guitar and incredible voice brings me to tears. Thankyou Joe White for that song. God Bless him!
I've seen him at least ten times. Starting back when I lived in Calgary in the early '90's. The guy is a monster and so are all of the musicians that he chooses to work with. He's like watching young Yngwie but with a far wider palate of harmonic diversity to draw on. The last time I saw these guys together (2006?) they were as good as ever. Come back to Alberta Jack. We miss you guys out here!
Semple and his band are absolutely insane good! I remember seeing them many, many times in Winnipeg when the scene here had more variety and was better. Miss them. These guys deserve so much more. Incredible song!
Not sure if he'd be comfortable with that title? Randy Bachman has a wee bit of a legacy as a (guitar based) songwriter after all. "Canada's Best UNKNOWN Guitarist" is something that I'm certain Jack would be comfortable with though. I've met him numerous times over the years and he is humble to a fault. Jack (and his band) is one of the advantages of living in Western Canada. You won't see this kind of jaw-dropping talent in a random setting with an intimate experience much anywhere else. And it's usually 20 or 30 bucks at the door... The guitar work on this tune (while impressive) is a "pimple on the ass" (of the proverbial elephant) if you ever get to see the full show. It's a full on assault of goodness, chock full of "eargasms". Come back to Edmonchuck now that all the pandemic stupidity is finally receding Jack? It's been a while...and I need a fix!!! Cheers!
Un-effing-believeable!!!! This was an incredible performance. Literally… Lightning has been captured in a bottle right here in this song at this moment. Big love & admiration to you and your incredible band!!!!
Didn't know this band and watching this video cannot help wondering why Semple is not filthy rich and an international superstar, or if he even cares about that. This rendition of the beautiful "A Rainy Night in Georgia" is simply world class.
Wow . Fantastic
Every time i listen to this it's WOW !!
Very nice!

I’ll take that challenge

I've seen you play some chords that most people would need six fingers to play.
