@Novilicious Thank you for asking. The smaller 800W REL S/3 I purchased first (paid $800, $2,200 MSRP). That sub alone is an overkill for that small room. Then, a couple of years later a local dealer sold me the bigger 1KW REL S/212 ($2,700 , $4,200 MSRP if memory serves). So, I dont need that much bass for watching movies. But for stereo music each sub acts as a bass extension of each speaker. So, the S/3 is the left bass and the S/212 is the right bass. Surprisingly, the smaller sub is around 4dB louder even though it has only one 10inch driver and a radiator against the bigger 2 twelve inch drivers and two radiators). I am sure this is because the right speaker is a bass swamp, it is corner loaded. Both operate at less than 5% of their total capacity. Thanks for the comment.
Are you still using the Manhattan? Do you use it as a preamp too? I use mine as a preamp too and I really enjoy it. I wish mine had the network card so it would be all internal but I use a microredu currently. Mine does have the phono card installed and it works well but I still prefer my Fosgate signature phono stage over it when I a/b them. I was curious if you ever had heard the phono card or the network card installed. Great video.
I love my mytec Brooklyn Thjnking to upgrade my old 5 years old DAC with tried Some china DAC. Tested them few model china Dac from usd 1000-2000 non cant match song quality mytek .
@@shawnkhan2901 I didnt choose either one. They served entirely different functions, but could have been used as a DAC, either one. The setup was like this. Preamp - a Pass Lab X0.2, DAC - the Manhattan II, room correction - the DEQX. One did wonders to the stage and depth, the other to the resolution and clarity. I tried putting the Manhattan II before the DEQX and after it, there wasnt a big difference. So, it was a 3 piece, not 2 piece preamp.
@t.j.benner6454 Lots of noise, yes. That music was a tape recording (a discard, actually) of Elvis's session. Yes, the tapes were noisy, the hum is obvious, stereo effects are out of whack and you need a good DAC to hear the mess. A regular DAC will just play a regular song for you, all these precious artifacts will remain under the surface.
Fantastic! I like mytek! Also, Why do you have 2 different sized Rel subs for stereo ? Does that cause imbalance or does it not make a difference?

09:55 Mytek Manhattan II
What happened to the DEQX PreMate?
Sold. Everything you see here is gone except for the Manhattan II.
Hey @@VladVonGrigorian I'm curious why you chose the Manhattan over the DEQX?

Why is there so much noise? Ouch!
