- A ride through the North York Moors In Nov 2024. Is this climate Change ?? Goathland To Lealholm Taking In Egton Bridge And Glaisdale's beautiful scenery.
No, its not climate change. In 1971 we had snow in October, and we have had snow late in the year a few times since then, especialy if you live on high ground.
I was just looking through some of my other Videos, and I think we had snow in October sometime around 2019. I did a video of it.
Best video ive watched for a long long time😊
Thats very kind, thankyoui.
Stunning scenery! 👍😲😊 The earliest snow I can remember down here in Essex was around 5th November one year back in the 1970s, brought in on a bitterly cold easterly wind. We've also had snow in November in 10 of the last 40 years.
Much prefer this kind of location than any City. Absolutely stunning. Enjoy it as much as you can and thanks for taking us along for the ride. i'm in the South West where we have our version and I try to get out in it as much as possible. Its so nice.
Nope, called winter...Cyclical, We've only been recording weather events for not even 100 years, It's just weather.😊
Winter doesnt start till Dec.
@@thewhitbyphotographer; Maybe, but unfortunately our seasons can't read calendars.
What a beautiful picture.just hope that everyone is safe and well especially the elderly.thank you for a great video
this weather is called seasons winter nov/jan spring feb/april summer may/july autumn aug/oct what we had in the 1950/60s wooly hats gloves wellies shorts out door swimming pools umbrellas coal fires hot chocolate season variations what we expected as the normal.
Cheers for the adventure, fella. You've given me some new roads to try on the royal enfield. Nice one
No, just winter is coming. I recall we had snow in July back in the mid-70's.
Its not climate change its just a snowy autumn, like you get snow in the spring too. Looks magical! Loving your video's thank you. Brings back lovely memories. ❤❤❤❤
Great scenery once again.👍👍
No--it's Winter.
Climate change doesn't exist, however weather modification does and is a daily world wide problem, every single day and it's being ramped up even though it's winter here
Climate change deffo exists. Wether or not it’s man made is debatable for sure, but you can deny the climate today is not the same as it was in the 1980,s or even the 1780,s
Great vid good camera work although i do keep dodging when you pass other cars, the way the camera swings . As for global warming NAH its winter we have had very mild winters for a long time now , i remember when i was a kid in the 60's snow falling all the time in Nov regular floods etc. If you look back at the housing then every one had grass and hedges , rivers and becks were cleaned drains cleaned and more trees to soak up the water.
Lol, do you think Im gonna have a collision?
No it's not climate change. Snow doesn't fall on a set date and time each year! ☹️
Absolutely stunning views, thank you for capturing them. I think climate change is showing up in unseasonably warm weather and then snap backs of cold, it feels exaggerated.
At 12.34 mins I sit on that seat in the summer ,nice view I travel that road on the motorbike in the summer ,that road was always used for chasing baddys in heartbeat scenes , enjoyed the video , try the eskdale valley run starts at great ayton following the Whitby to m/bro train line ,
Sounds great! I think I might have done some of that before. Some lovely scenery around Kildare too.
Thankyou Glen.Looks very scenic much prefer the milder conditions than the cold and snow..I don't think its got anything to do with climate change.
Absolutely awesome video...Whitby in the snow...nothing better. Outstanding work..thank you x
Thankyou Jen :)
Sounds real to me . Good composition well blended to the vision.
thankyou.
Lived on a farm in Little Fryup Dale in the 60s/70s this weather was a norm. Out came the chains on the tyres it was what we expected.
desperate to get back up there - being on a useless state pension, i have not had a car for a year and been saving ever since.
Know the area well and the Dales even better - if u can do the same again with gentle falling snow and similar music, that would be great :)
Subscribed to all :)
Thanks for sharing this one 🤝.
Loved it mate.
All that glorious countryside in the snow Amazing. Although goathland and Whitby is our second home and been going to our camp site on browhouse farm for the last 24/5 years and although we have been over to visit in winter it’s been a while so like I say thanks for sharing.
We really enjoyed watching the episode.
Those winter tyres are working well too 👍🏻. Is Harrison’s fuel station opposite to pennatt park on the island ??.
Thanks for watching Paul.
Yes thats the correct garage. Always the best prices.
Looking forward to the next episode
👌🏻🤜🏻🤛🏻.
This is so good, really calming. Definitely more of this when the Moors gets more snow please.
Smart man, snow tyres unlike those others you pass struggling unprepared.
I figured if I wanted to go out there and be as safe as poss I should spend the money on the tyres. They certainly work, although they have their limitations.
Brilliant Video Glenn , what is the name of the road?
that farm shop at 30,14 mins as some great sausages /burgers are very nice
Indeed they do. Wild Slack are the nicest farmers in the valley too. Such a lovely family.
Thanks for the ride Glenn😃
Thanks for coming along Ron :)
Excellent video great clarity and very relaxing 😊
Thank you! 😊
It snowed heavily in October about 15 years ago. I took some video of leaves falling onto deep snow drifts.
I'm from Gateshead, not exactly snow country, but I love going for a drive up the north Pennines county Durham through to Northumberland and back. A snow hunt, basically. Doing a large circular (100 ml approx). Taking in some of the lovely villages and Hamlets and the scenery. North Yorks, a bit too far for that. My route is up to Consett through to Stanhope. Then A689 to Alston. A686. Back down to A69 and home.
I think that area you're talking about gets a lot of snow at times. Nothing better than looking g at stunning scenery like that :)
@@thewhitbyphotographer I wonder if you could answer me a question?? Travelling to Scarborough A171. Approaching Whitby, I turned right to go through Ruswarp, to bypass Whitby and rejoin said road. How many miles does this take off the journey, if any?? Thanks.
@@davidrichardson6872 Im not sure it will be many, but it takes out several sets of traffic lights and congested areas for sure.
@thewhitbyphotographer thanks, I asked because we beat our friends Infront, to the hotel in brid by 30mins by taking that route.
@@davidrichardson6872 Its 0.8 mile shorter the way you went. But like I mentioned, less traffic lights and congested areas.
We have transitioned over to La Niña colder weather is expected
I've driven this down to Egton?
😎
Thanks for watching :)
As always it's just.....er, Whether ;-)
Weather is er ... weather :)
@thewhitbyphotographer I always think they should call it whether because you can't rely on the forecasts and don't know whether it will rain, snow, hail, be sunny etc etc. Just an old bloke joke ;-) I'll be renewing my season ticket shortly for the NYMR. I test myself regularly by walking from Goathland to Grosmont. Beautiful scenery and Whitby is nice too. That smokery ;-) Great! You're lucky to live up that way. I'm in Caistor. Also nice.
Love these vlogs i find them relaxing,so pretty in the snow.
Take care out there x
Thankyou for watching Julie.
Climate change is more about random climate/weather redistribution, it may get to a point where crops will be hard to grow unless in controlled undercover poly tunnels etc
Gaz Yorkshire coast.
We went to Whitby at this time of the year about ten years ago and had snow, it blocked the road from Whitby to Staithes. No one mentioned climate change then, it was just what happens at this time of the year.
Probably 2010. The December to remember. I think people have been discussing Climate change since the 80's Remember the Ozone hole ?
North Yorkshire in her winter finery.
Not much snow at all really was there. Keep wishing for one of those winters with huge drifts :)
Between 1974 and 2000 we had snow in the Peak District every 7 years on Remembrance Sunday, always the year after an El Nino event. There was also late April/May snow in Scotland. Now El Nino got its name way before agricultural and industrial revolutions by the local peoples of South America. It is a planet wide weather system. It can be modified by volcanic actions and solar, lunar and earth cycles. Currently there is a observed shift in the magnetic axis of the earth or is it a shift of the earth from the magnetic axis? 7000 years ago the axis shifted and the Sahara became a desert in 200 years. Is it shifting back to what was before the 7000 year move? Was this one of, or a culmination of multiple earths cycles
We Had Snow in York For the RAC Rallys Every Year in October For 20 Years or more I Know Because i Was Shoveling itas a Kid Every Year And Went to Watch the Rally Every Year.
People Have No idea Now What is Normal or Not
have you watched the children of eskdale ,Saturday 12th September 1992 UA-cam , its about the farm you past at 28,03mins
Absolutely beautiful!!! Idid wonder where your camera was now I know
Hi, Its an insta 360 on a pole on top of the car. Somehow, the clever camera makes the pole invisible :) Who would ever believe it possible :)
How beautiful! Despite political issues, Britain is still the most beautiful place on earth! Thanks for the tour.
Ohh, ya, it's just weather!
Meh..it's a snowflake compared to winter '82
When was that ?
Beatiful video ❄️😍🌹👏👏👏👍
@@alicjawarecka654 Thankyou.
Great film
It's not enough it's winter time, and the UK gets snow now let's ask the world is something wrong.
soon we will all be gone.
@thewhitbyphotographer can't wait
@@Allgone-b4k Onto the next life.
Another thought could be that other countries have different calendars; Like a 13 month cycle with the moon instead of Solar
Geees climate change with what 2"/5cm of snow 😂😂😂 I can remember 63, walking g to school with yer wellies flip flapping on legs giving you chap marks because your socks slipped down. Get a bloody life! 🤪 😳 ☺️
Oh wow!
Yes it is climate change. Such events will become more frequent, more severe, more unpredictable.
It never seems to happen though ?
