I’ve had seizures and they’ve had to call paramedics each time. During an episode I went into cardiac arrest at work where it’s pretty public. Kinda embarrassing but I’m glad they’re we’re several people who knew CPR. A nurse and a off duty police officer and other clients took turns doing CPR.

I've developed generalised epilepsy due to MS. My husband has managed to remember what to do after we were both present when his best friend had a generalised seizure one night. I am an ex student nurse, and after we got the friend to a stable, "here" position, I checked if he had any post-seizure medication, anfld I also called his ICE number. On the way home, I explained why I got the friend into the recovery position, and why I asked him to start a timer on his phone. I had my 1st generalised seizure 5 years after my clinically definite diagnosis of RRMS, and he was amazing! I had my 1st hospitalising lot in 2021, and had to spend 27 days in hospital. Husband couldn't come with me, both in the ambulance or the A&E, but he managed to visit every night and meet me at the main entrance. He even brought my manual wheelchair, and would bring me clean clothes/take my dirty ones home for washing!
He didn’t think he could ho into "emergency mode" as fast as I did with his friend, but on the 28th June this year, the simple act of me falling through our bedroom door and seizing woke him up, made him get out of bed, and go into his own "emergency mode" ❤

I'd have also added that she should put away the knife on the counter, just in case she bangs her head or leg against the drawers/counter and it causes the knife to fall down. I mean, it could happen with anything on that counter, but the knife was laying on the edge.

Well I have a first aid diploma, but not the qualifications to teach others :) Though here and there I try to give tips (specially if I hear someone talking about what they'd do if an accident occurs) and I've "saved" some people from choking and helped with seizures here and there :-)

There hear That are kind of important to include. First if they have two seizures that they are back to back (they have not become conscious between seizures. The other thing for a reason to call the ambulance is if there is some indication that they have been seriously injured such as tumbling down a full flight of stairs when their seizure has started.

I have seizures I know what people have to go through that have them. They are not a fun experience even when you have your own children and your children have seen their own parent going through a seizure. It’s a scary thoughtful thing to go through. I was born with them and I have all different types of them. They are not fun experience are you even injured myself with them as well.

Incase she gets cold. You can get cold sweat if you have a seizure, but usually the floor is very cold as well. And if it happens outside, it's important to try and make sure they don't lose too much heat from their bodysurface, knowing the right side (in this case) is very cold, due to the coldness of the stones/floor.
