The negative point in JEE preparation is that the entire goal of life becomes getting into an IIT, and if one is successful in doing that, he is suddenly thrown into a space of confusion not knowing what to do next! Suddenly life smacks you hard forcing you to think whether you actually wanted all the things happening around you currently or should you have taken a different career path, because anyways you wanted to be an IITian and not an engineer!
This is the best comment for this video. Reality.
That last line though, "want to be IITian but not an engineer"🙏🙏👌😱😱💀
I am not an iit ian , here most of the people ambition is to make money in a safe manner no matter what their interests are .Even if you are passionate in any field ,the reality or parents may throw you down because . making money through passion is difficult at the starting years may be in entire life time. If there is any field that makes you happy and gives you a lot of money ,all IIT ians will go for it . But it is not because every field has its own reality . So making money at the earliest is the basic necessity by most of the people in India.
💯💯
3 example .
My friend 1 wants to go into 2d animation .in NIT busy in studies.
Friend 2- cyber security and hacking. But ultimately preparing for high end job while in cse old iit .
Friend 3- wanted architect . but still took civil engenering due to some fear .
I’ve seen the IIT’s develop through the decades. Back when I was 18, in the mid-80’s, IIT’s truly had a great reputation (they still do). There were 5 IIT’s back then, today there are 23. Roughly 150000 students gave the JEE back then, now it’s over 20 lakh. The toxic coaching culture that is prevalent today was just not there back then. I’ve seen coaching institutes firsthand and how they group students according to their marks, lay emphasis only on the cream of the batch and let the others figure out things themselves. It’s truly saddening. Coaching institutes have just become dirty money-making scams. Even parental sentiments were drastically different back then. Parents weren’t so involved with the kids, they allowed us to figure out things on our own. Life today is a rat race. Life was truly beautiful in the 80’s and 90’s when I was an adolescent. Sorry if I swayed away and reminisced but I miss life back then :)
Cheers 👍🏼
It was life in 90's was much better than this technology oriented system. All that happened due to change of power from USSR to USA
They placed all the focus on ultra competitiveness and computer science and finance ignoring all other areas.USSR development was generalized more of producer economy based rather than debt fueled run economy
@@Udta_teer_leliya Well ... Yes
But US was and , at least speaking at the moment, pioneer of futuristic technology ( now has China to face and decide it's date) yes US has the most cut throat competitive market ( thnx to ulta capitalist mindset) .... But look all it gave us .. Apple , Microsoft , Google , Spacex , Tesla , JP Morgan , Boeing ...... Hands Down .. USA has the most business friendly environment ( though minor obstacles do persist ) and immigration has literally been the very factor for where it is today ( Indian immigrants indeed playing a vital role) and PROGRESS coupled with unfathomable tech takes humanity to destinations unheard of . & that's what US does . USSR simply crippled ( courtesy : Communism and hardcore state dictation )
@@ranyfarade2098 Not fully agree original US was a mess they copied USSR model and unnecessary made a devil out of it proclaiming capitalism to be its own when anarcho capitalism without full privatization was a failure.
USSR socialism was more of a institutionalised capitalism. Most of the private companies are built by poaching top talent of former communist colonies India China and Russia.
Chinese governments banks are now competing on equal terms with American private banks it is a rising force with lesser consumerist model and producer oriented economy
@@Udta_teer_leliya I do agree with you ... I just think that capitalism - socialism-mixed economy etc etc being prominent socio-economic ideologies and entrenched dogmas , at the end of the day , every single nation state's main objective howsoever big / small (geographically and economically ) it maybe , having aspirations to progress and deliver something valuable , is the overall development and enhancement of it's citizenry in all leading aspects of life, irrespective of the economic system it abides by and follows . The crucial thing is the very manner and method so employed in which the formalization, institutionalization, systematization, structuralization , organization and morsoever the implementation of the upliftment programs is undertaken by the people and willingness to do so is of uttermost significance....
To be just as better , if not best, as it's other competitors . China has commendably been successful at capitalizing and tapping the erstwhile unexplored ( perhaps unknown) potential of it's demographic dividend ( by means we necessarily might not be willing to approve of) and now even challenging the ( so called ) powerhouse of the globe - USA (not literally albeit economically) Simply , it fundamentally and instrumentally transpires to be boiling down , at the day- end, as to how actually and to what extent , is a country capable of putting it's intrinsic as well as extrinsic resources to utilization after all ( Agriculture - Manufacturing-Tertiary) . The very ability to put the workforce ranging from wage earning labourers to exorbitantly overpaid executives for the betterment of a nation's economy is really indeed what matters. Honesty and Deceit , categorically so to expound, going hand in hand to achieve what you what to ( individually as a person and collectively as a country ) . To conclude - Yes , to certain extent is does so matter as to which and what type of socio-economic system are you actually swearing allegiance to , but , at the end all that matters is to uplift your nation's people and try playing a recognizably noteworthy role in the global strategic field . That's how , probably speaking, civilizations ( the tapestry of mankind ) emerged into existence and attained sheer prominence and authority , and as fate would have it , saw and unfortunately witnessed , inevitably , their tragic anscendance and disappearance into antiquity , and so trivially being just the talk of too a modicum of curious historians .
It's just so all about - willingness to move forward with the world and the tactics and manners a country uses to actually get itself at such a stage ( by hook or crook ) Nation building , howsoever intricately complex it maybe , is at the forefront of all the agendas of all the developed or developing nations.

It's hard to put in words how difficult it is for someone who is not interested in engineering to convince their parents. I did 1 year JEE preparation till the end of 11th std but I was put in coaching under pressure (peer, societal and mainly parental), I did not enjoy studying PCM for 6-9 hours a day. Then the pandemic came and in June, I gathered courage to tell my father I couldn't do it further and I wanted to pursue law. It literally took the tears out of me to convince them I was not joking and harder was to explain my bade papa. Because both brothers thought I was the most intelligent child of the family and I could fulfill their IIT dream.
I am preparing for law entrance now. I don't know how much 1 year of preparation will do but I am confident and happy person now. JEE coaching was like a jail for me.
I just wanted to convey here that popularity of IITs has usurped many dreams and not all are lucky like me to have parents who would listen a bit.
HAPPY FOR Y YOU !! ALL THE BEST BRO
Yes be happy that you are given a chance to study. Don't worry whether one year or two year of preparation is enough for law entrance. Keep faith in yourself and give your best. Afterall you are studying what you like. Law is a more diversified field, each day you get to explore more and enjoy. All the best!

@@rajadhirajmaharaj not at all lol. TFPS is a student-run recreational group (we call them "societies" on campus) that is concerned with filmmaking and photography.
Our campus has such societies for quite a vast range of interests - from Swarm Robotics to Classical Music - for students to explore.
It's got nothing to do with academics🤷
Blessed to be a part of the Society. Yo TFPS! ❤

Indian Students are crippled with these IIT Dream, UPSC dream and Number Game.
We are educated but no longer learned. We measure everything with the marks in a piece of paper.
It's a shame that we forgot all out roots and fell into this number game.
Then what should they do. There are many more careers to explore.

Timing couldn't be better... I have mailed yesterday about dropping out of IIT, the line in the trailer, "Engineering isn't about passion anymore" is what I also believe. There are so many Farhanitrate's and Prerajulisation who are just pursuing it for the sake of doing it and the hype created around it, but they are somewhat running in wrong direction which anyone can tell by looking at there work which they enjoy doing. But anyway in indian society, you just cannot run away from these things as these are the status symbol of your family.
Anyway All the best to future IITians and the current ones. I hope you find your passion and may God give you the courage to announce that to the world🤘🏻
