I enjoy your Ostriv videos, usually learn something useful. Single cart parking you can assign to a building to only supply resources to that building, seems to work well. When fencing the housing using the Alt "unsnapping" can help with the tricker bits.

When I lay out my blocks, I often like to lay out the houses so that they are back-to-back in the inner corner (rather than one of the outer corner). That way, each block of 4 houses has 2 walls facing a wall from a neighbors house. There is no practical game mechanic for this, but in irl, this would mean that each house has 2 walls that will have minimal heat loss during winter due to not being exposed to the air and wind. Another thing would be to plant tree lines along exposed sides, to provide a wind break during the winter, and shade during the summer. Again, there is no game mechanical reason to do this, but I think it makes them look more realistic as heat loss during winter would be a major concern.

@axefield i do want to add, that I am not saying you are laying out your houses wrong. Everyone has their own style, and no one's way of doing itnis wrong.

Love the peaceful, chill Ostriv content, great find! One thing that's killing me is I can't place your accent. It sounds maybe like either New Zealand or South African (I feel like you look more like a New Zealander but sound more South African). Am I even close? :D

You are spot on😆 I am from SA🇿🇦 Aussies, Kiwis and Saffas get along very well out of my experience. We share similiar humour, values and people get confused with our accents. It must be a southern hemisphere thing🤣
In the current version I think you start with enough thatch and nails to complete the nine houses before you need the thatchery and smithy.

The only thing I don't like is you can't terraform the land to make it more buildable. Otherwise, love this game and thank you for your tips.
