Just stopped in to say thanks! Been a Bengals fan since 1981. I love our local podcast guys, but rarely get to hear from anyone outside the bubble. Great to hear some outside perspectives.
Agree I was waiting for them to go down the “Unhappy” rabbit hole that the media has tried to shoehorn into the Bengals 2024 offseason & all that nonsense. Bengals are sneaky good and have 0 major holes at any position. I’m excited to see how it unfolds
Still feels like people are underestimating Joe Burrow... Even without Chase he was able yo produce in 2022. Without Tee he was able to produce. The depth is NOT a question. The depth is the best its been in the Burrow era. The real question is Joe's health. Because last year, Joe's calf was the biggest question. Forced them to run out od thw gun 90+% of the attempts. Which for 1 is very difficult to do consistently. And is an uphill battle for the RB.
Replacing Boyd in the slot isn’t as problematic as you think. Jermaine Burton, Mike Gesicki, and/or Charlie Jones are all going to play slot and Burton is much more explosive, Gesicki a bigger red zone target than Boyd and just as fast. Slot will be more productive this season than last. To say WR depth is a concern because Boyd is gone is a lazy take. Burton alone is an upgrade, he’ll be a Cover 2 killer. Gesicki is the most talented TE the Bengals have had since Tyler Eifert, and in my opinion Gesicki’s more talented than Eifert was. Jones, Iosevas, and Irwin are all back with a year more experience. This is the best receiving corps Burrow has ever had, same for offensive line.
To think with all the struggles on backend of defense, not great OL play, Burrow getting hurt….. and still go 9-8 with one of the hardest schedules and toughest division in NFL… I’ll take that as hope for what the Bengals can be in 2024!
This was a very measured, objective discussion about my favorite team from a group of outsiders. Great job! You guys are a very rare find. You've clearly done your homework and I appreciate your perspective.
I think Burrow and the Bengals will have a bounce back season. It’s still a very good roster on both sides of the ball, that is well coached and has what it takes to make deep runs in the playoffs. Having one of the best quarterbacks in the league healthy and ready to go is a big boost for them as well.
Don’t mention how much our tight end room improved smdh. And I personally think moss is an upgrade and giving brown more touches is vital. Line is great receivers are great run game is fine and our linebackers and secondary is top notch so is d end. Only weakness is our run stopping up the middle but we drafted in round 2 and 3 for that weakness
Joe requires one main thing to throw you the ball and it's run the correct route. So if Gesicki wants to play and catch passes, then he'll run good routes. I actually think he'll have a great year, cause this is a perfect offense for him 💯
Bengals fans could care less what anyone else thinks. One of the "enlightened" had the Bengals finishing last in the AFC North at 4-13 just a couple of years ago. End of the season, the Bengals are in the SB. 😂😂😂😂 How enlightened are you?
Yes, Gesicki is the best starting tight end Joe has had. The position is also the deepest it’s been since he’s been here too. The young wideouts along with Tee, Ja’marr and Trenton Irwin are his most talented bunch as well. A much improved offensive line and a sneaky good running game. This is easily their most talented offense yet. The defense looks to be as strong as 2021 and 2022 with more speed on the back end. The edges are better led by Tre Henderickson and the middle is rock solid with Sheldon Rankin’s and company. The linebackers are sound veterans. If the corners holdup. Look out 👀. Who Dey!!!
They went to the Super Bowl with a terrible offensive line and would have wanted if it had the offensive line they have now the defenses what got him there and Joe Barrow what Jamal Chase it was all new to all the teams till they figured out how to guard Chase
Mike Gasecki will be the t.e they keep stop gapping t.e for some reason and Jermaine burton will end up being the 3. Haven't watched zac moss not really sure what to expect yet on him

Thank you!
I really enjoy this content. The algorithm needs to pick you guys up.
This content is too smart for the algorithm.
I’m a diehard bengals fan since 1986 and I’m all about realist who speak facts. Good channel 👏🏻👏🏻 glad I came across it
That was legit good. Most national guys don’t invest in the Bengals and they covered every story line I could think of here

Gross underestimation of WR depth.

For the outsiders.. Dax backing up Hilton.. this Hilton last season on contract

WHO DEY!
I dunno, can they? Lmao
Good show untill the end. Fully revealed your homerism.
Where exactly?
@@upstatenydude8322 it’s been a few days. But when he started talking about Mike a former dolphins te, he seemed a lil biased.
i saw a segment on Mcafee that Burrow’s wrist might be permanently damaged by the surgery he got… especially a permanent loss of mobility.
He has been throwing 60 yard bombs at mini camp
McAfee will say/do anything for clicks, he's throwing absolute bombs right now, he'll be fine.
Is McAfee an orthopedic doctor now?
Throwing harder than ever has!!!
Weird. He's dropping 50-60 yard dimes in camp. Burton gonna be scary good. New kid's got super glue for hands.
