@@StraitHoss Shenandoah is the big leagues. Whether country radio chooses to ignore them and other legends like them makes little difference. They are cemented as one of the best in country music to ever do it.
I really enjoyed them stopping by the diner. Always a pleasure to play with Marty and the boys. Thank yall for tuning in! Warmest Regards, "Sheriff" Jimmy Capps
Well not exactly. Only Marty and Mike are the original members still in the band. Ralph passed away, Stan Thorn hasn't been in the band for years, and Jim retired.
Once you hear this song you can not get it out of your head. It is truly one of the great ones and unfortunately did not and does not get enough recognition or airplay. Great job guys!
I grew up playing drums in the clubs. I started at 7 years old. I'm 40 years old now. I'm retired but I remember playing your music. You guys are still awesome.
This guys are still kicking ass 27 years later! Very impressive, they got it!I’d love to see them in person. I’m 23 so I never got the opportunity to experience this music when it was a new sadly. There was a huge country music renaissance in the early 90s from what I can see. I wish we had one of those again
My wife and I met Marty Raybon at a booth at the shopping mall by the Grand Ole Opry one Saturday. It was He and his son there. He was so down to earth and took the time to talk to us. That night when he was performing we were sitting near the front and he recognized my wife sitting in the audience and pointed to her as he sang this song and smiled at her.
Back to the 90s the best country my childhood was full of hank, vern gosdin, alabama and these guys... do you believe me now, who are you gonna blame it on this time, set em up joe, that just about does it, this aint my first rodeo, im still crazy, i can tell by the way you dance, born to boogie, young country, my name is bocephus, song of the south, high cotton, 40 hour week, fire in the night, love in the first degree, ghost in this house, church on cumberland road, next to you next to me, sunday in the south, two dozen roses. Back when country was still counry lots of good memories listening to music with dad and watching cmt and nashville now with ralph emory.
😢 This song makes me want 2 cry really hard cause of how badly I treated my adopted mom. I'll do my best in the modern day to treat her with more respect.
this is country and where we should be .. those harmonies !! are sublime . great song ... just so in pocket ! give me more , i want more of this .. take us back when country was country :-)
Oh, hell yeah, love the bass line on this. I shared this beautiful song with my sweet woman back in Fargo this morning. 1100 miles away...she loved it!
Shenandoah, you still got it baby....You guys, sound great, and look great. Keep singing. We didn't, know, how great, we. had it, with you great musicians.....
It was the day of the Patriots Super Bowl with Tony Eason and this group played….they walked in like they were nothing. Believe me, they are something. One of the best.
I propose to my wife in 1999 to this and then fell into painkiller addiction in 2016 and was divorced I come back to this song just to relive the good times what a great song
This song means alot to me my grandmother played it all the time around the house when she was cooking and cleaning I was so close to her my name is Shannon they called me Shenandoah
Man, I'd love to go there and eat some country fried steak with gravy, mashed taters, green beans, and home made biscuits. I'd wash it down with a sweet tea and listen to some great music! Thanks for this great channel, I have been listening all morning long!
Doug will be missed. He brought powerful lungs and youth to this song, which is something I would never say unless I saw a great improvement on a live performance.
I’m a simple man. When I see real country music, I hit like.
One of the best songs EVER recorded.
Yess!!! Im excited I get to see them this year!
@@markvaars37 Lucy you! This is such a beautiful song.🍾🌹

The genuine (not forced) rasp & twang in Marty's voice is unparalleled to this day.

Glad to see the boys back together. I saw them in concert in 1990. Amazing
Fantastic Country song Fabulous singing God bless Shenandoah always 🙏
The guy on the piano is killing it
He still never misses a beat. Very well performed!
Underrated band
My favorite Shenandoah song. EVER!
You'll never see Florida Georgia line on here, I can't wait until they're forgotten
Trump needs to build a wall to keep Florida Georgia Line from making more music.
Can’t believe there is people out there that think FGL is country lmao 😂
Steven Buckner 😆😆😆😆
Totally LOL'D.
Drop them on a deserted island.
I've always been a simple country man but to hear a classic that comes and speaks form. The heart it brings us true country together
This song means alot to me my grandmother played it all the time around the house when she was cooking and cleaning I was so close to her my name is Shannon they called me Shenandoah

Guy on the Strat is doin’ work. Very skilled player.
Voice sent straight from heaven !
Always loved their sound! Now I need to learn how to make my electric sound like theirs.
I swear his voice is like wine. Only gets better over time!
They need a "Love" button with the like. LOL! I love this!

Doug will be missed. He brought powerful lungs and youth to this song, which is something I would never say unless I saw a great improvement on a live performance.
Jordan Jimison Doug?
Kole Dupe He's talking about Doug Stokes. He was the lead singer before Marty Raybon returned to the group

I like a song like this that tells a story plus is just great to listen to!!
Best song ever created
What a voice in real
Great tune
One of the best voices in country music hands down
Love this song. And sure miss country music
He sounds like every CD, LP, and radio version still
Genuine Country. What an excellent group my #2 band. Alabama #1.
Amazing voice
Real country music !
He might have the best country male voice I've ever heard
Mitch Mayes he's got a good voice but in my opinion it's definitely not the best. If I had to say one guy it would probably be Keith Whitley
jeff black I agree with Keith whittley
Randy Travis?
Agree with Whitley too. If he hadn't passed so soon more people would know that
