The researchers have presented me with a new hull idea. They call it the "modern battleship". Let's get to designing and constructing.

Why won't you play War Thunder?
▪️ I raged at getting sniped by tanks that I could never see. Also nonsense like turning bushes off that helps you perform better. That seems like a terrible design to me. War Thunder also had drama several years ago about the CEO calling the fanbase to help strike down channels or using copyright strikes to eliminate channels entirely. That is such abuse of power and dictatorial nonsense that I refuse to play a game created by such a company.

I think he recently researched superheavy shells..... those should be mandatory in this playthrough, load them guns up all the way
That opening just sounds so evil.
I love it.
Stealth is a villain. Building an empire!!!!!!!
Same here tbh, i love how evil the admirals logs sound
Please, don't let the wonky designs dissapear! They are the bread and butter of this campain!
Stealth: "Bismarck light in 1922"
Also Stealth: "Bismarck in much heavier (almost 12000 tons more displacement) with 16.9 inch instead of 15 inch main battery, much larger secondaries and almost as fast"
Good job Stealth, unless the AI absolutely spams torps at you you'll soon be the proud owner of some new overseas territories for the Reich.
Edit: How did the Brits get 121 active ships + 31 under construction? I smell a rematch in the works once they feel ready to take back Gibraltar ^^
i tihnk the bismark had 16inch mains but not rly shore
@@dragon_games1657 no, the bis only had 15’s, and those were even upgraded during construction, she was originally slated to have 14’s
@@willh8950 ok thx for corektin
Literally just an H-41 in 1922
I’m German and I can say that I agree with this Germany being overpowered af
Sehe ich genauso^^
To be fair, whichever nation is being controlled by a human tends to be very overpowered in this game. The AI is not the brightest!
As someone of German decent, same.
@@Panzergraf Well of course. The human player is likely to have a plan and preferred doctrine when building and using their ships. They can also learn what does and does not work against the enemy and configure future builds/refits accordingly. The AI cant do that, even if it was smarter.
"We're essentially building the Bismarck lite in 1922..."
"This thing is gonna be the terror of the seas..."
*SABATON - Bismarck plays in the background*
Please, try refitting the Kaisers! maybe if you replace the 2 front turrets and the barbette with a single double barrel turret you might free enough weight to fill the casemates on the hull with some much needed secondary weaponry, while maintaining the four main guns and the wonky design.
I think that you should have made the Pommern-class with singles, so they would have clearly been the successors of the Kaiser-class only with bigger guns and faster speed.
25:15
Stealth: "This is gonna be the terror of the seas"
Me: "THE BISMARK AND THE KRIEGSMARINE"
This series is my first series ive watched that you have made i must say i love your unconventional ship designs and your play style
i cant say that i hate the design but it pains my heart
but it is fun to see him try to use those abominations
If I remember correctly the game automatically gives the hypothetical refit design the best mark of gun currently present. So you were not looking at the current gun but what can be put on
Loved that Miklos Horthy series you wrote a while ago
@@peterjohnson6739 I'd be happy to have another go at it being Stealth's unruly Emperor again. But we will just have to see.
I hope the devs let you kill transports after you've mullered the escorts in the next patch
Also something for the modern BB towers for the pommern class I believe they let you spam barbettes on the sides of you want more seconaries
I may be wrong but if you would spot them before the battle ends then that should be the case already.
@@Notmyname1593 problem being spotting them
Your crew pool is the largest of all the navies. When the Ottos come into service, there will be people lining up to sign up for the German navy, wishing and hoping that they will get to serve on one.
On the Pommern class, those towers are really long. You have spots for 2 giant funnels, and only have one. If you could use/unlock a smaller secondary tower, you could shift everything more amidships and shrink the citadel significantly, maybe getting enough tonnage for another couple 8-inch turrets.
I noticed that when you went to refit the Thuringia class, you noted that the guns were Mk. 3s. I'm not sure what they were built as, but when you hit refit it automatically upgrades the guns to the newest variant, so there's a chance they were actually older guns that were simply upgraded to Mk. 3s when you looked at them. I'm not sure if this is still how it works, but give it a look!
Great to see how the strategy has worked for stealth during the initial phases of his campaign.
Cannot wait to see and hear a full broadside from the Otto class!
I mentioned in the last videos, those secondaries have been very punishing to your enemies too.
FYI, the Bismarck light would probably the Bayern class, which was arguably the first kinda modern Battleship.
It’s hilarious to me that he gave his “cheap” battleship radar and his new flagships none
Mulhouse is a French city at the border with Germany, South of Strasbourg. There is a train museum there. Thionville is on the French Northern border near Luxembourg.
Your BB is in the line of a Frederich Der Grosse in WoWs.
hey, Mulhouse is a french city in Alsace, so your french pronounciation was perfect.
If you want to actually roleplay germany, you should prolly use the german word "Mülhausen" though.
LOVE this series stealth. Keep up the good work!
@ 28:55 "They're gonna take me... oof, twenty-nine months! That's two and a half years!"
Which, historically speaking is actually rather low... By comparison, HMS Nelson (a rough equivalent to your Otto class) was laid down at the start of 1922 and wasn't commissioned until mid-1927, a bit over five and a half years; her sister ship HMS Rodney took even longer, just shy of six years. Rough average for battleship construction was around 42 months (3.5 years, longer in peacetime or periods of economic downturn).
I made some ships with the main turrets in the center of the ship and I have to admit. It's a very good design.
Second half of this video is essentially the construction of the Bismarck class in the 1920s. Wünderbar!
I love the naval logs please never never ever get rid of them
I’ve been binge watching some of your campaigns and it’s weird having to wait for new videos lol
In case you havent noticed/figured it out, whenever you go to refit a ship and its overweight or something to that matter, its because of the technology advancements. Things like turret advancements and the such increase the weight by some thus doing the obvious. So now you know if you didnt already.
I knew thanks
25:13 THE BISMARCK AND THE KRIEGMARINE!
(You literally set it up to happen)
Really like the design of the BBs!
24:40 yes but as many barrels as they can fit
As for the Big Guns only concept. Putting the largest guns possible on any specific mount should be acceptable IMO.
like the new ship but it gonna be a long time to the time they get out of the construction. i love the video
You could overhaul the single gun BBs into super cruisers drop the guns to 11.9 and just adjust what's there I think I might do that in my Austria campaign with my old pre-dreadnoughts
Your opening narration here was quite spoopy. Also, historically accurate. Kinda. :P
Just love this series. But spare cash goes into updating my PC where I can, and one day buying this game.
Heh heh heh.
That opening was spot on. Easy to get the French to riot.
Hon hon hon
Looks like the Mulhouse is going to need those flood pants....
I think I might have ordered a few more destroyers with some of that budget.
New design looks good. You seem to have a very small fleet vs the others. Have you considered doing a regular "annual" build, like they used to do back in the day. Build a certain number of DD's, CL's, CA's and BB's per year? Especially since you have the budget for it. It might be handy to always have fresh ships in the pipeline on a regular basis.
Upon refit your Cruisers would automatically get the new triple turret ,Superior reload and accuracy
Your admiral logs are excellent
Definitely liking this series
nice super bismarck stealth!
7:19 this is where RDF woud be boon to have. I personaly use RDF on all ships until it gets replaced by radar (so it aslo keep tonage blocked off for radar).
Perhaps a maximized Dreadnought would be in order as well as a replacement to the kaiser class more places for big guns
Hey stealth! Over the last couple videos I’ve noticed that when you dodge torpedos you turn away from them. I would recommend that you turn TOWARDS the torpedo as this will quickly present a smaller profile in a much shorter amount of time.
problem is , if you have been turning the opposite before youve seen tropedos if you try to tirn into them what happens is you go straight for a big while before turning into them which by that time its too lste
Don’t forget to build some more smaller ships
In your next campaign have viewers design your ships based on certain criteria you give so you can have like a contractor system and have the people compete for a contract
System
Very interesting idea.
i love these vids, i'm always sad when it ends lol, thanks for your work
Obligatory comment to show love😁
Finally 16.9 inch guns
So our shots can get blocked by the French CA's even harder
Stealth: This thing is gonna be the terror of the seas
Me: The Bismarck and the Kriegsmarine
You should work on your own Torpedo spam for DD's and CL's ;)
The British has surrendered under the sound of our guns, the boys on the guns of the DKM Hansa on the harbor arrived telling the repair crew about the "pity" of his capitan, that He forbade his crew to open fire on the transports which, surprisingly, flew the white flag.
The admiral requested his presence immediately at his office... The admiral's shrieks of discontent could be heard even in the Hansa's engine room.
The captain was so white once he leaved that Could be mistaken for a ghost, shaking as his asks his second to remember him to never allow anything to go away again.
I was curious so I did the math those 16.9in/l57 guns would be 80.25 feet long lol. A full 11 feet longer than yamato's guns.
So this really shows that Naval strategy is built strategy. The French will likely fold before your Otto class ever hits the water.
Do you know why all the world war-era ships had two guns in turret? Thats because one gun shot at the target rarely hitting the target, then quick calculations are made and the second turret shot, that was supposed to hit the target.
good vid
The game doesnt give you the transport kills unless you actually kill them and Id argue, to my own detriment on a few occasions, that this is good and should stay this way.
The reason being that the escorting ships have the option that, even if they are sunk, they can buy enough time for the transports to get far enough away that they may become difficult to track down in time depending on how long the escorts managed to last.
Ive had some battles where I sank the enemy escorts but the situation was such that visibility was limited to somewhat close range so the surprisingly stealthy transports were difficult to find in a timely manner, even though I was a LOT faster than them. They just had enough time to get away because their escorts made me focus on them while the transports opened the distance. And without Radio Direction Finding or RADAR, itd often take more time than I had to catch them since they'd also maneuver to always be sailing away from me which would make finding their vector even harder as it would constantly change.
Of course, with RDF or RADAR this is a moot point since once the escorts are sunk, you'll have a convenient pointer to exactly where they are, but without those, it gives them a fighting chance. Helps to save the nation with the convoy some victory points and makes what couldve been a massive loss for them not as bad as it couldve been.
Definitely overhaul the Wettin class, drop 1 single turret and either add dual barrel mains or add secondaries as they are good ships but have mediocre firepower that puts them in danger especially in situations where the range is close
Do note that Austria and Italy did contribute to the sinking of a lot of the French fleet,
Does anyone else think he needs to start building more crusiers and destroyers
This video give me sabaton flash back
sabaton is cringe bruh 💀
@@comraderoman4299 that why
When dodging torpedos its much safer to turné in to it not away!
I watched another streamer playing this last night, and if you kill the escorts before the transports, the battle ends and the transports get away
That's a feature that's been shown in Stealths vids before and it's kinda bull to be honest with you
Out of curiosity, why does it seem like stealth is so against changing the beam and draught
I'm not.
Why does the otto not include an increase in draught or beam, allowing for a heavier ship?
because his shipyard isn't big enough for a larger vessel.
25:10
To lead the war machine!
To rule the waves and lead the Kriegsmarine
More like a H44 class Battleship at the first design for the new modern BB
The german will become more dangeros
25:10 Is that a subtle Sabaton referrence ?
Glad I got your channel to watch on this. Got from 1900 to 1914 then got fucked over and my save files got corrupted. Sadness
And is it just me or are the ai not as good at researching tech
Oh no :(. That really sucks
@@Stealth17Gaming Yeah it does. I had just got everything for a super ship of its Era. Dreadnought 4 hull with a decent rangefinder and 3 turrets with triple barrel 14in. With decent barrel length and 8 inch secondaries.
The ai does research stuff just they rarely actually use it
@@sharkk127 ah ok thx for the info
also seems that the ai doesnt really upgrade the shipyard as much if at all
Is the tower capable on the Otto to support small guns up there?
light Bismarck when it has bigger guns more displacement and bigger secondary's
Bismark light: This one has 16 inchers thats bismark in stronger
I so want to see those new Battleships nuke an Armored Cruiser.
Anyone have an ideia of how to properly kill 40 kt modern light cruisers at this era? its nearly impossible to hit them with guns due to their "target high speed" acc reducer being a stupid 70% +
I like watching the building and the battles but does it get boring to you for a 30 minute battle? I'm sure the attention required takes away from how long it feels but are there times where you go "good god why is it still going". Great content though, I watch this series at work almost every day on lunch.
Sometimes enemy ships take far more damage than I'd like them to. That's why I can get a bit impatient.
@@Stealth17Gaming I completely understand. That's why I play warthunder instead of world of tanks lmao. This game is very fun to watch
i noticed you run coincidence rangefinders even on long range ships, are steroscopic rangefinders bugged or something?
No they're not. I prefer higher base accuracy rather than long range accuracy
Does the reduced construction time work? It still says "to do"
Not sure. Never tested it
Bruh I've been playing ah and got the modern battleship hull in 1921 and now have 8 of them, I love absolutely murdering the ai, oh and I also have the super battleship hull so once I get mk 3 17 or 18 inch guns ill be even more powerful
YES MOOOOORRE
Hey, can you please tell me why my game crashes after I build some ship plans in campaign?
I'm not a dev. Ask on the forums so the devs can help you out
Angry smoke screen? Somebody been watching some Mightly Jingles lately?
how to turn of the hud :(

"Bismarck Lite"
Nah. You built the Super Bismarck. Same # of main guns but 1.9" bigger caliber, 8.9" secondary batteries vs the comparatively puny 6" secondary guns of the Bismarck, and about 15,000 tons heavier.
That thing is closer to some of the H-Class designs. In 1922. And you can actually build them... The French are about to find out what happens when God decides to take a battleship sized shit in their dinner.
Come on you could’ve at least “the flagship of the navy” too
you're building an Iowa in 1920 not a bismark lol
bismarck 1922 :/
Oh frik IF the germans are of as fack so too austrienhungris fleet try it
Sorry not good english
Pre make the samé playtroo but vith austria hungri
Bismarck lite? More like the Bismarck Mk2.0, this is 17,000 tons larger, and you have 8x16.9 inch guns.... Bismarck only had 14.9 inchers, and he calls it lite... lol 🤣
Kind of suspicious how many duds your being hit with.
Torpedoes are incredibly unreliable, especially early tech levels
😅
I have to say I think the Game is too easy the poor strategic handling of the Ai which is already known since ever is making it too easy for your next campaign I would recommend that you start campaign without or if just with Tb boats so that at the start you are lacking quite a bit behind and additional i would say just allow yourself just to built like one BB per year or every 6 month or something like that.
The reason the game has a mechanic where if you kill the escort then the transports get away is because in real life your not allowed to sink transport ships because the people who man those transport ships are normally civilians. But if they are manned by military then you can sink the transports. There are transports that just carry fuel ammo and other things during war. However if the people manning that ship are civilians you physically cannot legally sink that ship. Naval Targeting: Lawful Objects of Attack. Search that and it tells you on the first page what you can attack and cannot attack. I am also pretty sure that killing civilians of any kind is a war crime. If you kill a civilian during war time you break the Geneva convention. Though Russia should be held responsible for the deaths of thousands of innocent people in Ukraine. Does not matter how big your country is, if someone breaks a treaty it should be grounds for everyone to say fuck you to that one country who breaks it. Because lets be honest if we let Russia get off on killing thousands of Ukrainian civilians then what stops every other country from doing the same? I mean the only thing keeping the current world in some sort of peace is because people fear the might of the USA army. Without that fear wars the USA ended will spark and like a dry forest it will ignite into an inferno. Fear keeps this world from going back into an age of war and strife. Do we want another world war? Do we want to send our husbands sons and even daughters off to war? I mean the moment countries do not fear the USA north Korea and south Korea will reignite their war. The terrorists organizations will come back in numbers. Wars we have fought will come back and we will have to start over from scratch. The world peace we have will be gone. Death, chaos and strife will come back in force. So I ask you all again what is stopping this world from going back into an age of chaos and war?
P:S I sorta went off topic but what I said is true if we do not enforce the treaties we have made then there will be another hitler. There will be another world war and what happens if we do not win the next one? I am just speaking the truth. I mean the whole reason we had a world war 2 is because hitler broke the treaty and what did the British or Americans do? Nothing. We let hitler take millions of lives by not taking one single action. It is called the butterfly effect. One little event triggers a much much bigger event. Do not even get me started on world war 1. When we were winning an Australian guy on the battlefield decided not to shoot an unarmed soldier. Do you know who that unarmed soldier was? IT WAS FUCKING HITLER. that single event made way for fucking world war 2. Just because one single guy decided not to kill 1 person we lost millions of lives.
Sorry guys but I am just pissed off because we are repeating the same mistakes as we did in world war 2. So my bad for venting.
