Hi how much did you spend for your dental splint? I had my consultation 2 days ago but will take 10 days more so I can have my dental splint . Di man lang ako binigyan ng botox injection ng doctor ko, kahit alam nyang in pain ako. I paid 35k for it. Before pa nya ako madiagnose na may TMD/tmj disorder ako ni rule out ng dentist ko na dental problem ang cause ng pain ko . Pinastahan nya ang 2 molars ko then after nun in pain parin ako, so I told him na baka may . TMJ disorder ako, saka nya pa ako inassess for tmjD. Tapos ung xray na pinarequest nya panoramic lang.
25K for the dental splint. Also had a similar experience with a different dentist, dinismiss niya na TMJ disorder initially though di rin naman niya kasi specialization iyon. I went to a different dentist, I was asked to have a transcranial X-ray and found out it's a TMJ disorder
@@celene4infosharing thank you for vlogging this. I hope people will have an awareness that dental health is very important. Nalaman ko na my TMD was the cause of my other health problem. Severe head ache, insomia, migraine, photophobia, depressive moods, poor mastication, vertigo and tinittus .
@@jonathanmatthew5631 I can say may significant difference talaga. On my first month palang I can say it lessen . The following month rare nalang. This is my third month and wala pa akong vértigo and tinittus.
It depends on the case of your TMJ. There's no one size fits all treatment kaya importante makita talaga ng doctor muna. In my case, yes the braces are necessary due to the positioning of my jaw and teeth

I got tmj arthrocentesis done as i got my jaw locked couldn’t open it more than one finger after the treatment i can open upto 3 and i was given a splint to wear in lower jaw idk which type is it they just took impression on wax and looks like just a copy of my lower teeth set, my question here is can i wear it for lifetime or not ??
I did, he said it’s not an issue Also i just wear it when i sleep, also i dont want to land into the same jaw lock position it was frightening :( I couldn’t open my jaw for 6 days

I stopped treatment since I relocated to a different country and di pa kaya ng funds haha. I'm wearing the splint pa rin. Next is ung braces dapat.

pacheck and treat niyo na po. If left untreated, it can also affect other body parts like your back, arms and legs

How's your TMJ now po? wala na po headache and other symptoms?
Okay na po. Nakatulong ung Botox. Pero I'm not yet done with the final treatment which is ung braces.

I don't think splints are meant for a lifetime. Splint is like a bridge to the permanent fix such as braces. Better ask your doctor about it.
