Im a complete novice. Began in march. This video is so relaxing. Also appreciated you only spoke when something educational to say. Picture is beautiful. So helpful. Thankyou.
Thank you so much for being here watching. I’m so happy to hear that you’re finding it useful, and that my narration makes sense. I wish you a very colourful day 💖💙🌸
Your picture turned out so beautifully Marit, I just love the color choices you picked for it. I'm looking forward to the 4th picture getting colored on this page.
Loved this video! I am new at coloring and this was just what I wanted to know how to start a project. No-one else I think on YT has one like yours. I am saving this for when I tackle this little vignette of Johanna Basford. I hope you will be doing other demos in the future, like this. Thank you!
Can't wait to start on this page, it's looking so pretty but, I most to finish the shelves page first. It requires patience to color like you do and I'm learning that too. I've been painting on canvas with acrylics for more than 45 years and when I discovered coloring books (3 months ago) I retired my acrylic mediums. Hopefully I'm not too old to learn this art and be good as much as you. I love your art, Marit ! God bless you.
Thank you so much for your kind comment. I’m certain that no one is too old for learning a new medium, and after 45 years of art, I’m sure you have a massive advantage 💖 Thank you so much for watching. I’m so glad you’re enjoying it 🌺
Thank you so much for sharing this with us. Your colour choices are absolutely beautiful. I really enjoyed following along with you. Looking forward to the 4th picture to be completed. 😊
There is another UA-camr that loves to layer and layer colors with Polychromos pencils. It is Passion for Pencils Henny's way of coloring is a style all of her own. I have never seen any other artist on UA-cam color and paint like she does. If you want a new way of layering look at some tutorials that she has produced.
Thank you so much. It’s just a lot of practice over many years. Keep looking at tutorials, and keep practicing the layering techniques. It each time will get better and better. 🩷🩷
Hi Travis. What you get would depend on the way you would like to use them. The Polychromos is very translucent, and does best with lots of layering of different colours (the method I prefer for myself). The colours shine through one another, which creates some really cool effects. The Luminance are softer pencils, so would probably be a bit faster. I know a lot of professional artists who use those in place of Prismacolor, due to the higher quality.
Gorgeous work. Thank you
Thank you so much. I’m glad you liked it 🌸🌸
Best demonstration if the impact of layering Polychromos pencils. Thanks so much!

Beautiful! What is the white pen/marker you used to lighten the dark outline of the flowers?
thank you so much ❤️ I usually use a Sakura Gelly-Roll pen in white for the outlines 😊
❤❤❤❤❤
Thanks for watching 💖💖
I can either get a set of polys or a set of luminance. I'm torn.

@MaritsColourfulAdventures I have prismas. I think the polychromos are more my style. I wanting to get better at layering.
Beautiful work, it looks like you might be pushing a little to hard for blending. Lighten up your pressure. I hope this helps.
Thanks for the tips! 😊
