Isnt "yeah they all do" referencing the conversation he had w sammy about how tyrants are always disappointing
He says that’ll do. ^
That'll do Babe, that'll do...
@@maxsalazar3396 Holy shit, the subtitles say "Yeah, that will do" but because of his accent it does sound like he's saying "Yeah, they all do." In reference to that conversation about tyrants.

DONT LET THEM KILL ME
Yeah. That’s good enough.

Famous last words from a tyrant.
Wow you said the line from the thing.
Damn didn't think Ron Swanson would say that.
Civil War brought me here. It fit perfectly in the movie.
''Yes Ma'am, we'll take real good care of him.''
The final photograph in Civil War with this song was such a haunting vibe. Left me feeling hollow and nauseated.
Alex Garland is a fantastic director.
Too bad he's done, although he will continue to write.
He never said that. He's just focusing on writing for now.@@strangewayfaringstranger

I absolutely loved this song at the end... perfect.
@@user-pr5uh8do3l The combo of the song and the image got a fist pump from me. Dream Baby Dream indeed. ;)
One cold-blooded ending, bravo Garland.
Yeah, but wasn't it perfect. :)

That end credit picture is living rent free in my head
Pretty soon it's gonna be a poster living rent free in a frame on my wall.
“Yeah… that’ll do.”
Thankfully, the song drowned out me saying “Holy S**t!” when the credits began to roll. What an amazing choice to close the film out with.
😅❤
Exactly. It's a damn good choice
Glad I wasn’t the only one lmao
“I need a quote.”

That'll do😂
Civil War was such a good movie.
The photos of the WF soldiers standing on the corpse of the president was bone chilling as the credits started to role. Never will forget that day. I just stared at the screen waiting for the credits to role. One question that everyone who watches this movie will have is "So what happens next"? Ngl, this movie stays with you for a few days, really makes you think "What if".
That image combined with the song got a fist pump and a shout from me. Fortunately, it was a late show and the IMAX theater was nearly empty. I want to enlarge that image to poster size and frame it.
Exactly...like what happens to many of its allies if the US fell over
The scene reminded me of Benito Mussolini's death, but the whole "what's next" is implied that the rebels would just turn on each other
Better was how the patriots in the photo, rejoiced with pure delight 🫡
@@cjbolan8059 Kinda sus
_What an ending..._
I turned to my friend and said goooodddnnight Mr. Comedy
The haunting surreal nature of Vega/Rev is perfect for the Civil War film.
check out the BBC doc HyperNormalisation. it's the prequel to civil war, and id argue this songs placement is a direct reference

The soundtracks of Alex Garland films are always on point
They give you those haunting vibes
He learned that well from his buddy Danny Boyle! 😂😂😂
WHEN IT ALL ENDED WITH THAT
“YEAH, THAT’LL DO"
MY GOD I COULD NOT BELIEVE IT
What a fantastic song for the ending of Civil War. The entire movie as a whole, I didn’t stop watching it from start to finish, the cinematography intertwined with its great soundtrack was so fascinating to watch. The scenes of empty highways, empty strip malls, a vacant JCpennys, bombed out and ruined apartment blocks, with abandoned military equipment strewn about from some previous battle. It looks like something out of some distant foreign conflict, almost inconceivable that something like this could happen here. Yet today, here we are. More divided and closer to a similar conflict in this movie than ever before. I just hope that somehow we stray away from this possibility.
Well put.
IT IS GOING TO TAKE THIS VERY THING TO SAVE OUT NATION FROM THE LITTLE ROUND HATS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! FACT'S.....................................
That final photograph with the soldiers posing around the dead president reminded me of when the Colombian soldiers posed around the dead body of Pablo Escobar

becoming a true war journalist
The Civil War movie had such a abrupt ending, but that in itself is a great decision. The movie’s final 20 minutes is literally just climax bang bang and immediately ends with no cool down or narrative conclusion for the characters.
The message of the film itself is the typical “war is bad” cliche but they managed to keep it very fresh with unique scenes and concepts, actual trilling and brutal scenes that makes you see the horror of war
It's not just "war is bad", it's "war is anarchy". The country as depicted in the film has devolved into pockets of violent nonsense.
US turns into current day Haiti so....
For no worthy reason according to the film's director. Some things are still worth fighting for. Maybe someone will make a film about them.
The main characters are so amoral too. It shouldn’t be a surprise after they take a picture of the gas station guy posing in front of the hanging men, but I was still shocked at the end when Jessie takes a few pictures of Lee getting shot trying to save her, then not even looking at her body when she gets up because getting the shot was the most important thing. They even foreshadowed it earlier in the movie when Jessie asks Lee if she would take a photograph of her Hindu if she was killed
Wow you have a shit take on it hahahahahahaha
This music is like a mix of the B52s with Lou Reed.
It's fun to sing along with Vega.
i was thinking the exact same thing!
I had trouble finding it because I assumed it was hum
@@garbageboy8857 ;p - Sorry, I just changed my comment because I was listening to them a few min. ago (swear to God) and I thought, "Oh, I would have sworn this is the B52s" at the beginning of one of their songs. It sounded like the beginning of "Whammy" I think.
Well, I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks of Lou Reed when I listen to them.

Love this track, love the film: "Civil War".... and of course Jesse's Nikon FE2's... and her developing film as she goes...carrying on the flame and spirit of a real Photojournalist.. x
I have to admit, after my first viewing that ending to Civil war threw me off guard how abruptly it ends, after my second viewing I understood got it and enjoyed it alot more. Definitely a movie that has been lingering with me.
The film benefits from repeated viewings. So many little details pointed out by film analysts that are easy to miss on the first watch.

What a magical track. It was an equally magical moment when I heard not just this song come on in Civil War, but Rocket USA as well.
RIP Alan Vega. Thank you for this musical masterpiece.

Beautiful song and great movie Civil war.
Civil War has been living rent free in my head for days along with this incredible song. I listened to it like 10 times running today.
Nice song identified and heard on the Civil War movie
Same epic movie
This was just the thing I needed to get back into photography!
I'm here because a friend shared it with me. I haven't seen civil war, so not that either. Today would have been my sister in law's birthday. She left us 2 years ago after suffering for many years. I've got a hideous and incurable disease that I am learning to live with, so this song is BEAUTIFUL to me. It almost feels like it has magical power for those of us who suffer daily. Keep that dream burning forever. It reminds me to do my very best to find enjoyment in every day. Any way I can.
We should have stopped him when he was in charge of a small Parks and Recreations department
Joel: “WAITTTTT…WAIT”
President: “…”
Joel: “I need a quote…”
President: “T-te-tell them don’t kill me”
Joel: “…yeah…that’ll do”
Jessie looks into the camera *click* as the camera goes snaps a photo of the WF soldiers shooting the President and one by one they all turn towards the camera and Jessie who is now taking all this in instills another memory in her mind as the screen fades to white end credits.

I love Suicide, and I'm thrilled to see people finding out about them. But it's surreal that Garland's use immediately anchors the song to the film in a profound way. I know Garland has a lot of intentionality with score and music (his cues of Helplessly Hoping and The Mark in Annihilation were extraordinary), but Salisbury & Barrow who have worked on everything from Ex, Machina, Annihilation, Devs, Men, and this... they're astonishingly good. Love everything happening here. =)
Thankfully, not all of us have been so dumbed down by simple movies that we no longer have the capacity for abstract thought. This film is actually full of answers and you have to use your brain to find them. That's what good film and art does. It's not a Marvel film. I know, there is "war" in the title, so it should be just like Spiderman right? A lot of folks that would never go to see this film will go because of that and they will of course hate it. The Texas and California partnership is brilliant. Imagine something that could actually united these 2 seemingly opposed states. USE YOUR BRAIN.
They are not monolithic states. Quite a range of political viewpoints. Regardless of Garland's intent, I can imagine a few good reasons why Texas and California would partner up.

Wow thank you for the remaster!
I knew I wasn’t false Deja vu…the vocals and those lovely synths are unmissable. Great song, great film.
Civil War uses a lot of "pop song dissonance" to underscore the war scenes. This was not that. This was an autocrat dictator taking a bullet to the head, and the triumphant theme to underscore it. Great way to end the film.
Lol but what did he even do wrong?
What a send-off to a crazy film.
This is beautiful. I'm at my county fair, holding hands with a girl I'm so dumb I don't even know what love is, but sugar is in the air & we're on the Big Wheel & there isn't even a world to worry about cuz there's just now & now & now how could anything possibly go wrong?
