Hey Lauryl - love that Albina and I think this is a nice fit on you, even while it isn’t you usually ease preference. I see a stripes phase approaching too!💕💕💕
I think the mods you did for the Albina, particularly stopping the stripes before the neckline shaping are very elegant. I think having the solid colour works really well on the dropped shoulder .
Your Albina turned out great! Your mods work for you. I think its good to realize that its ok to change up our "normal". Just because you usually go larger doesn't mean you ALWAYS have to. I think the fit is perfect for that exact top. Everyone is definately vibing with the stripes right now. I just finished my summer ranunculus. Its drying now. Cant wait to wear it. Thinking I might dig thru my WIPS bags and finish up one or two things. I have a black boxy style knee length sleeveless dress that I want to make a short cardigan for so Im pattern shopping. I have a charcoal grey tonal called Upton that I want to use for the cardigan. Joji put up that test call for her Mable sweater but I dont think Ill be picked but that will be on my list of makes. Anyways...keep plugging away. Im super excites to see your Pina Colada. Im glad you picked the black and blue. As much as I love black knitwear the contrast makes the pattern and ALL that work stand out! Ok bye
The Mable sweater is so pretty if you make it I’m sure it will look spectacular! Summer ranunculus tops are the best I have to push myself to try other patterns because I could knit one in every color (I mean shade of black 😉🖤
Hi Laurel! Thanks so much for answering my question about colorwork knit flat. I haven’t cast on the shawl yet, but that’s probably a good thing because your advice made me realize I should do some practice swatching first. Wish me luck 😂. Your intarsia sweater is looking sooooo good. Intarsia kinda scares me but you make it look a lot more manageable than I have imagined. Thanks again for the advice and another interesting podcast! -Joanna
Do you attend the Oregon Flock and Fiber Festival Sept 21st /22nd ?! It used to be in Canby, but is now in Albany ....... This will be my first time at Black Sheep , SO excited !!
Your Albina is beautiful! Do you think the cotton lino would be a good choice for the Albina? I have yet to see or feel it in person, but it sounds lovely.
Hey knitting bestie! Did you like the limetta, hanami, or hashibami, better? 🖤What are you currently working on?
I like the last pattern you showed for the sienna orange yarn. The design on the yoke is gorgeous.
