Sae wasn’t on the team just in the match. None of them are actually related to the u-20 team.
Its legit the only question i paused cuz in my head theres no way its Sae since at the start he literally said “he’d rather play with german highschoolers than the U20 team”

@@monkeydluffy492 rin isn’t related to the U-20 team either. The Itoshi brothers got nothing to do with them besides this next game, Sae Itoshi would rather play with german college students than Japan’s national team, he’s only there because of blue lock, not the U-20.
closer to the start of the anime, Sae heard about to Blue Lock project, and decided to stay in Japan, In the manga, at book 11 i think i can't remember exactly, at the end, Ego told the people remaining in blue lock that Sae Itoshi was joining into the U-20 team, therefore there was no mistake in the question, but again, i don't think it was mentioned in the anime, *I MAY BE WRONG*

technically speaking, the next selection is a 5v5 tournament based around the top 6 players from blue lock to select 23 players for the squad against the U20.
while that may be true in the last episode he specifically was talking about the match but either way hope you enjoyed!

They said isagi’s fav player like 3 times in s1 and Eric Cantona was a French footballer who never actually said that but had some controversial media coverage in 1995, he might not be one of the greatest players of all time but he for sure a Man U legend.
Isagi obsesses and day dreams about Noa in the beginning and it's brought up again at the start of the NEL arc lmao, it's one of the main parts of Isagi's background/origin💀
