Recently picked up some third party scales from VPCreations. Over the moon with them! Also regarding the washers, VP have also created a small maintenance package for 2.99 that includes Bronze washers + spare screws! Love this knife.
For some reason, I like this non-locking version way better than the original. It just seems to make sense considering the size of the knife. Cheers, buddy.
The non-reversible pocket clip being tip down was the one thing that put me off from buying this. That and the lack of a Heinnie logo. If you're doing an exclusive just do it right. I get why others don't want the logo but to me it's quite good looking. Steel material is fine for that kind of knife.
Great review Al 👌🏼! It’s a wonderful blade for a uk legal for sure! However it’s not massively in the running for me personally. That’s just due to the detent system I think I’m still unsure if I like them or not 😂🤦🏼♂️. None the less I’m glad I have one !
Tip down, “right hand” carry is actually better/safer for left handed people than it is for right handed people, with the blade back held against the back of your pocket. Anyone who’s reached in their pocket and the blade has started to open will understand.....it’s like a fish hook preventing you removing your hand. I also find it easier to grab...Rotate your hand and put your index & middle finger between the knife and your leg and pull out with your thumb on the clip. Feels pretty natural to me now.
Now that's a toughie, I'd say the Pilar if you're comparing it to the D2 G10 luna, but if you're looking at the Titanium or better Luna then the Luna wins out imo.
If it locks then it's illegal to carry without a valid reason, whilst the law only specifies folding knife as legal, a judge has ruled that knives with locks don't count as folding knives under this definition and that has become enforced case law.

Love this knife.
This is a great little knife. Owned it for a good few weeks now and the edge stays sharp for ages, depending of course on what you use it for.
Iv had mine 9 months, amazing knife. Came razor sharp, probably one of, if not near the sharpest factory knife.
I love mine been pestering Heinnie on and off for quite a while to do a uk version of the Pilar so I’m one happy bunny now 😊.

It's great to watch the knives legal in USA, but I don't mind these UK legal knives. To me I would carry a lot of the ones you have on your channel

A great Jesper Voxnase design, very like his Isonzo. It’s not really my style, so I’ll not be buying one just to review it. Great video though!
I do wish Heinnie could chat up Cold steel into doing this with the Tuff Lite. Wanted a UK legal one of them since they came out.

For the price an awesome little knife.🔪
Great vid brother. Have you got any experience of "Moonraker knives"? Are they any good?
I've always found them pretty good. Been buying off them on and off for a few years.
@@raggedbreath that's good to know buddy, thanks for that 👍
Yes, have bought one or two off of them and they delivered quickly
Whats better the luna or this pal ?

Cheers pal yeah the basic luna g10 so polar for £5 more is better for edc use thanks pal
Luna is better and cheaper great review Alan
I'm a bit of a metal snob and that put me off this knife otherwise I like the design.
Ugly little knife?
Ugly but highly functional for my work needs, its a knife i dont want to marry it😀
Is it illegal to carry a knife which locks? I bought Y-start lk5026 it is under 3" so how law applies to that?
