Enjoyed your video of the walk ... beautiful scenes of the canal and river ... loved your banter with swimmers .. enjoyed Logan chasing the ball in the field ... liked your easy going style and chukles ... brilliant ...
Bless you, I'm actually a local and only found this walk last weekend.. but watching your video, I found it so interesting, and I love all the information you share. Thank you!
Another great video Dave and Logan where you were stood by the entrance to the retirement village just up the hill to the left was an old RMC quarry that’s now had houses built on it
Another wonderful walk Dave & Logan! Couldn't believe just how clear the water of the Itchen was - pristine!!! Bishopstoke looked like a beautiful village. Gorgeous old church! Would love to see more!
This is the other piece of the Itchen navigation I have personally walked. Seeing your video reminded me of that beautiful sunny day when I too, followed the route. The old broken locks with the water cascading through. The never ending bridges to cross your film captured it to a tee. That’s also the first time I’ve seen Logan in water above his ankles! It must have been very hot.
It is grand to have such lovely countryside to take a good 'ol meander through...always a little bit better too to have water nearby...dropping in from Nova Scotia and a relatively new sub...take good care and have yourself a great weekend...and give Logan a nice treat...our pups are truly special...
Thank you, enjoyed that! Looks like the river Itchen could be a good river for fishing. I will definately check that out. Look forward to doing the walk at some stage next year.
Yes it is a great river for trout. Indeed I was filming yesterday on the same river but much further North at Itchen Stoke & managed to get some footage of a chap fly fishing!

Thank you Sophie. Glad that you enjoyed the video. The River Itchen is such a pretty river to walk along for sure - particularly in the Summer!
Very beautiful and stunning view. Love your dog too.
Best regards,
Thanks you:)
Really enjoying your walks always something new to learn even from places I know well.

Thank you. There certainly seems to have been a fair bit of new development at the top of Church Road (western side) that is for sure!
Such an interesting and informative walk, amazing what we have on our own doorstep
I think the Itchen is one of my favourite rivers.
Love watching your stuff Dave, gets me inspired to get out there, by the way l know Logan is in charge of editing, secrets out!
Thank you Neil. Yes - Logan seems to be in charge of most things! Thanks for watching.

I think that the Itchen is one of my favourite "Hampshire Chalk Stream" rivers. Thanks for watching.

Logan loves a "paddle" in the water but isn't that keen on "all out" swimming!
I caught a rainbow trout there!
Great stuff! :)

Thank you. Welcome to the channel. Hope you enjoy the future walks. Logan is pleased that he has another fan!
