For the record…floors always get done last. Always. We have learned that one of us HAS to own the project. That is established first and foremost, and the other one just follows, even if it’s off a cliff. 😂 LOVE the card!

Oh lord I would never do a project with my husband! We are polar opposite. lol he was a truck driver and so I pretty much did everything myself. Love the card. Reminds me of when I lived in Florida and they were everywhere. lol.
Love this card! I buy themed stuff with different people in mind all the time. For my Mom, elephants. For my Godmother, turtles. It makes them so happy to get cards with their favorite animals. As for couples projects, we just celebrated our 35th anniversary on the 15th and that's due to a ban on couples projects. We tried wallpapering a powder room in our first house many many years ago and it was a disaster!

Great storytime lol. I have a number of tiny baggies with mixed embossing powders, especially blues, never seem to have just the right shade😂 The UK seems to be missing summer this year, for which my swollen ankles are grateful.

Such a cute card, Kelly! I don't really have any colored embossing powder - I see people with all the colors of the rainbow. I basically just have silver, gold, white, and clear. But, what I've done is use Versamark on my stamp and then add whatever color of ink I want, add clear embossing powder, and then heat set it. As for couple's projects, my hubby and I don't do them together very frequently as he is usually too much of a perfectionist for me!

I have a friend that loves flamingos too and have bought some for her. I have been waiting and watching for quite a long time. How best to make a beach scene and I’ve not seen any stencils or dyes or anything that I like very well except recently Honeybeestamps came out with a dice set. That was pretty cool, but I have to say that with just using ink and embossing powders I am shocked at how perfectly your beach scene turned out. It is everything I would want mine to be, not that I could do it, but it’s exactly the look that I would strive for and the cost would be far less than investing in a die that I’m not gonna use for much of anything else. So bra tons of compliments and props to you for a fabulous job on the beach scene and the horizon and the water and the foam and the sand, absolutely the best I’ve ever seen fantastic great job!

Your beach is so cool the way you created it. I have a torn edge rule I plan to try to use for the torn edge. However I think tearing the paper would give a more uneven look which is more like a beach surf.
Either way is great!

My husband and I put up a ceiling fan when we were engaged 40 some years ago. I was reading directions etc while he is working on electrical stuff, etc. We realized an hour into the project that the fan came with directions for a different fan. We stayed together through that and lots of other couple projects

I’m laughing with you! I have been married 42 years. We still have the same issues on projects! lol. It is much better because I am stronger in my objections. When we were first married we wallpapered the kitchen. 15 years later when we sold the house the paper still did not match behind the fridge and I refused to take it down! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 and a good time was had by all!

Couples projects ... yep, men are from Mars, women are from Venus. The language is similar, but the meaning can be very different .. lol It happens to all of us (i think). Love the Flamingos 🙂
We do projects together but separate. Ie when painting, he cuts in walls/ceiling/baseboard and leaves. I come in and do the body of the ceiling/walls. Did I mention we’re both redheads?! And married 32 years. 😂
That seems like a way smarter way than what we're doing 😂
Couples project….. we’ve been married 42 years & yes we have our differences. They were not as apparent while we were raising our sons, mainly because I think we each did so much on our own, the best we could, when we could. He traveled a bit, and we had more traditional roles - even though we both worked full time (he outside, me bills, grocery & meals, inside). He was great with the kids, but I spent more time overall with them - when they were older, he was very involved with sports. Anyway, with the “boys” out of the house, then COVID isolation, then he retired, and me retired Dec 2023…. I can guarantee that if I prefer to do something “X” way, he wants “Y”. He also wants to manage the chores/things I used to do (grocery shopping, planning meals, cooking) & corrects how I do so many things. I appreciate his help, however I like to grocery shop & cook/bake. It’s a hobby of mine. We try to “share” the tasks, but it’s confusing. Plus I have gotten more relaxed as I’ve gotten older & I think he is more critical (of many things). We both are very busy, him more than me, with church work. I guess in conclusion, you are not alone and it may get worse. 😂. p.s. great card!
😂 You remind me of my parents. My Dad didn't have an opinion on house things until he retired and by then my Momma didn't want to hear it lol

My husband and I actually met at work. We work on things together all the time, We've been together for 20 years without a fight or argument, so I believe we might be in the minority LOL
