Bonjour my lovelies. I wanted to make this video for such a long time to boost your confidence and feel beautiful inside out everyday. Share and like. ❤️ frederique xxx
My daughter paid for my hair and makeup to be done at her wedding. I’m know that I do not look like a model, but I do put care into my look. They plastered my hair back and put on plain makeup making me look 20 years older. Not wanting to make a scene I just sucked it up. Ever since then I do my own routine because I know what makes me look and feel fantastic. Thanks to Frédérique’s videos for giving more knowledge/skills.
I also make sure all the items in my wardrobe are clean, ironed and impeccably ready to wear. This makes getting dressed so easy. I have a small rail in my room for things that I’ve worn, but are still wearable, because I have to minimize laundering. We in California are in the 8th or 9th year of the worst drought ever, and every drop of water must be conserved. But everything in my closet is ready to go, I can’t stand putting dirty or wrinkled clothes in it. I stage everything that needs work in my small laundry area. Items like blazers I brush, steam and air in front of the fan overnight before returning them to my closet.
I love this - I have a rolling clothes rack outside the closet that I use to display clothing items that I’m currently inspired by based off the season & the weather. That way I minimize my options for the day by choosing from a collection of things I’m into!
I'm in California too!(East Bay Area.) Those are great habits you've got. I've been conserving water for decades because we were in a drought when I was a teen in the mid 80's and I just sort of kept up the habit. I have found that we don't need to wash our clothes (or even ourselves) nearly as often as we think, and sometimes just doing a little hand washing with a little water in a small bin will suffice. After I've worn something I'll turn it inside out and hang it back on the hanger so I know it's been worn but still wearable. I think these little systems we make for ourselves streamline the getting-ready-process and helps to save us time, which clears the mind and limits stress ;-)
@@avelynm.3909 I lived through a huge draught a few years back. We also had to adapt to using the minimum amount of water. I will also wear clothing and if it's not dirty put it aside in my wardrobe so that I can wear it again, my husband and daughter do the same thing. 👍☺️
Yes to ironing 👍☺️, my husband thinks that I am crazy because I iron our clothes, well he has gotten so used to it that now he will iron something that he wants to wear if it's not been done yet. It really makes your clothes just look so much better.
You just reminded me of the negative impact this pandemic has had, specially during the lockdowns... I am going to doll up everyday from today onwards!! Making things simple goes a long way indeed! Thank you for making this video. Being a woman is really beautiful in itself, we give life and feed our babies, we nurture and nourish everyone we have in our lives.... for us to continue to do so, we too, need to put some of that loving and caring on ourselves!! Big hug!
Bonjour Frederique! I guess I missed this one. Mother was sick with stage 4 lung cancer and passed away in July. I am so happy you are finding people to sponsor your videos. I'm sure it has helped out a lot and it looks like your chanel is growing in popularity. I love you, Frederique. You always put a smile on my face. 🥰 XOXO
Superwoman Pose!!! My boss taught us all this pose when we came back from the shutdown. Hands on hips, shoulders back, chin up and hold for 1 full minute. There’s actual science behind it but it makes you feel strong and beautiful! Also, thank you so much for this video…I really needed theirs encouragement and reminders!
Wonderful video Frederique! I'm 81, and I work out 2-3 hours every day....,not negotiable! I am often taken for being in my 50's. Good skin care most important. I wear only the style I love, which is classic, edgy, chic. Every day I dress up as if I happen to be going out....this is not only for my partner, but for myself. Mostly, I wear combat boots, striped tops, blazers, jeans, silk scarves and very minimal jewelry. I always try to add something edgy in order to up my game. Your videos are very dear to me...and I love Oscar! Keep up the fabulous work you are doing. You are a true (French) gem!!
Thank you for this video and your kind words at the end. I've not felt too great about myself lately and this video has given me some courage. Thank you 😊😊❤❤
Another Hashimoto’s lady here! My biggest issue with it is always feeling tired. At the end of a busy day after the kids go to bed, I struggle to find the energy to do anything but climb into bed and watch tv. I do need to find more time to take care of myself on a regular basis. Thank you for this video!
I learned from The Makeup Chair (UA-cam) to keep some products in an alternate place. She suffers from chronic illness also, and she keeps a small stash by her bed. I keep mine by my TV chair, as I often don't realize that I've hit my wall until I'm at the point where the complete routine is no longer possible.
I totally understand. Perhaps get the kids involved. Have them tuck mom into bed or prep a self care station just for you. Maybe a lotion by your bed, put a flower on your pillow, or fill your water bottle with a slice of lemon for later. First they get your supplies ready then you read them a story/tuck them in.
Yes to the shaving! Also lash and brow thickener, a masque, pretty hair clips, Weleda Skin Food, lots of water, sunscreen! I do my own mani/pedi, and sometimes I wear make-up...
I am 61 next week and have decided to be fabulous every day even if it is a poor health day. Then I will wear one of my fabulous kaftans and sip iced coffee lol. But every day will be a chance to wear jewelry and maybe a scarf and get away from wearing the same 20% of clothes all the time. Great video. xxx
Jewelry, specifically rings, are my favorite pick me up. Real gold, sterling, cz,whatever..as long as they make me feel glam, I'm there! I always do my nails so the rings look good...
I love how real you are, Frederique. I was so surprised to hear you talk about the iRestore helmet. I have that exact one, and I really like it. Hair loss is a hard subject to deal with & it's not talked about very much, so thank you for addressing it. And also for stressing the importance of self-care. Absolutely love your videos!
Hi Frederique & Oscar so lovely to see both of you. This was a very important video…often we are so critical of ourselves especially as we age. I remember the day I looked into the mirror and my mother was looking back. At first I was upset then I remembered what a kind, loving wonderful woman my mother was…and I feel blessed. Hugs to Oscar..Best to you always. lol xxx
Great video, self care is so beneficial. I spent the whole day working in front of the computer in my PJs then put on a nice outfit with my sunglasses & new straw hat (trilby, just like Frederique). When I was out I saw the man that I like (!) & felt great about myself. I am 66
I know I am late, but I just discovered this video. Thank you, Frederique. I struggle with anxiety. and it has been particularly strong recently. This helped me to breathe and feel better xxx
And you know, there is something else I recently discovered! We’ve always been taught to fix our necklace when it goes under our shirt. But I am actually really, really enjoying the look of a necklace just slightly peeking through from underneath a button-down shirt or a sweater. One of my signature and most comfortable looks is wearing a button down. I can very quickly feel too dressed up, especially once I combine a necklace with a silk shirt, but I really love wearing silk and necklaces. I love to accessorize with jewelry so I have found this trick by accident when my necklace slipped under my shirt one day and I went to the bathroom and saw myself in the mirror. I decided to leave it there. It kind of insights a little mystery and intrigue. Sometimes I will just wear a solid gold chain. This works well with necklaces that don’t have a pendant or that might be a little chunkier (I’m talking just a thicker chain lol).
Yes! This is all so true, I always feel horrible if I don't make an effort. It can be hard when you work from home and live in the middle of no-where, especially if you're at home by yourself all day. Sometimes I think 'why waste a good outfit when no-one will see it', but when I do I feel so much better and I realise it isn't a waste at all!
What a perfect video!!! Yes for the self-care!! I love the idea of a separate account for self-care. I also needed this video. Thank you, Frédérique!! ❤️
Frederique. No way. I had no idea. You are beautiful. I would never have guessed. Having said that, (you do you.) Do what makes YOU happy and confident. Thank you for sharing. As for the helmet; you make EVERYTHING look chic. HONEST.
Girl you are amazing!! I haven’t been doing as much self care as I should but I am beginning again!! If you don’t take care of yourself no one else will!! You look beautiful even in a hard hat!! Great luck with the hair treatment! I’m praying for you🙏🙏❤️❤️🙋♀️
hello Frederique, fantastic video. This was just what I needed to hear this morning. You are not alone, I have Hashimoto's. My secret for fine, thinning hair--velcro rollers. They provide me with some volume, dry shampoo or a soft hold hair spray helps too. After a good night's sleep , I put my hair in rollers before going in the shower. After skincare and make up are applied, out come the rollers. I have bouncy hair with volume and I am ready to conquer the world. ~ Paula
Fantastic video and excellent tips! Especially post pandemic, I am more happy than ever to dress up even if I’m just home for the day! I really enjoy my clothing and feeling my best for myself and my family. I personally do not want to look and present myself as “effortless”. I want to look as though I have put effort in and I do care about the way I live and age. I want to look mindful and intentional and hard-working. When it comes to my wardrobe, I have actually been working through from left to right with my tops each day to wear that next piece on the hanger. I really need to wear everything I’ve got and even after downsizing, I still find I’m not wearing everything. Just today, the bottoms that I paired with the runner-up shirt, I discovered made me feel frumpy and not my best so I put them aside and will keep them aside for one month. If I do not go back to them then it’s time to declutter. Even if the weather is cool and I’ve got a short sleeve top Up Next, then I find a way to creatively layer and style that piece. I think this method causes me to find new combinations also! I do have a lot of shoes… It’s time to sort those out too. I do spend time on my feet and walk so I decided that each day I will wear a pair of shoes and take a walk around the block with the kids in them, at least, to see how I feel in them. You know how it’s been said to use your best China everyday? We need to do the same with our clothing. You really do adjust to feel more comfortable and nicer things. And if you continue not to, then maybe you’ve got some personal style/ inner work to do to better match your clothes to your life. It’s all a process and there is no rushing it. I’ve decided I cannot buy anything more until I have worn everything in my wardrobe at least a few times. Only then will I discover gaps and have a better idea of what suits me. I hope this can be helpful to others! Have a great day beauties! 💞✨💞
I totally agree. In the past I lost the chance to wear an item a different way, because I had already given it away to charity. I've suggested ways to help family members wear theirs, which is wonderful. Thank you for your inspiration Frédérique.x
Beautiful and inspiring video Frédérique. All money and time invested in ourselves is perfectly well spent. When we look and feel great we make others feel the same way.
I've been following you from (almost) the beginning of your channel and this is one of my favourite videos so far! Every tip is so simple yet so important. You're like the fabulous, cool, stylish French aunt we wish we all had ❤️ xx
Great video again. I decided to cut my hair in bob style like yours! Its only been a few days and I've already had so many compliments. Taken inspiration from you so thank you Frederique 🙏🥰
100% empathise with yr hair situation. My hair started thinning a while ago. It’s just SO distressing, you can’t imagine until it happens to you. Fortunately, it’s OK now but not as thick as before. Looking fwd to hearing about yr progress with iRestore. I used to use coconut oil but found Jojoba & Marula absorb a bit better. I think they’re finer. Xx
Thank you for this video. Every now and then; us ladies need to have a quick review of the little things that we should do for ourselves to give us better health and happiness.
Hey Frederique I agree its so important everything you said especially when you're married, have children. Life can really drain us. I have recently decided its time..time to put myself first for a change and be happy. Big changes coming up in my life, but i am ready. And have you for inspiration. Thank you so much beautiful Frederique🙏lots of love🥰💝
I love you and your positive attitude. Makes me feel guilty for feeling a bit negative about myself sometimes. I am trying to get used to the new me, or old me, 😅 who is now 62 yrs of age. Was always super slim and thought I looked fine. But not anymore. Takes alot of time in front of the mirror these days. You may be surprised after writing all this. But I do feel so much happier than I did when I was much younger. Thanks again for all your wonderful videos!
Everything you said is worthwhile to do! There is no downside to try everything! You are fabulous! You are amazing! Love you, love you! See you next time! ❤️ Suzy
Thank you for sharing these powerful words with us. It’s often that we forget about ourselves and I know, that can make me a bit lazy. Laziness leads to a rut…..I needed you to remind me! Merci 😘
@@ms.frederique 😁 where in Sydney are you? I live in Brisbane, my husband is temporarily living and working in Sydney so I fly there every few weeks. It is VERY different from Brisbane!
Good points! Life is too short for the negativity, the pandemic has shown us to appreciate what we have, and lto ove ourselves and the way we look. Yes to the dress--a onesie for adults! I live in dresses in the summer, they really are an easy, polished look that is comfortable. Lastly, the best accessory is an adorable canine. I love bulldogs. That snorty little monster is so cute!
Hi darling! Great video as usual! I have had Hashimotos for many decades. I took Synthroid for decades as well and never really felt great. One day, a new doctor told me to stop using Synthroid and switch to Armour thyroid. It made me feel ten times better! If you aren't taking Armour, it could be why your hair is thinning. I am 61 and have thick hair with Hashimotos and I do attribute that to switching medications. Good luck, you are gorgeous and your hair always look perfect!
My family is asking me what I doing for my skin. And I think the most important thing I’ve learned is less is more. I’m not hiding anymore. I’m just being real.
Great video thank you. I wonder if you could recommend a BB cream please. The foundation I use has been discontinued and I need to find a new one so thought I would try BB cream. I need slight coverage. Keep up the good work, love your videos.
Great video, thank you :) 🌻🌹🍀Frédérique is there any fragrance you would recommend for a summer, I would be gratefull for your recomendations or do you have any top favourite parfumes.

hello Frederique, fantastic video. This was just what I needed to hear this morning. You are not alone, I have Hashimoto's. My secret for fine, thinning hair--velcro rollers.
That was helpful -- thank you.

Thank you for reminding us how important is to take care of ourselves, 💕
Thank you for sharing these powerful words with us. It’s often that we forget about ourselves and I know, that can make me a bit lazy. Laziness leads to a rut…..I needed you to remind me! Merci 😘

@@ms.frederique 😁 where in Sydney are you? I live in Brisbane, my husband is temporarily living and working in Sydney so I fly there every few weeks. It is VERY different from Brisbane!
Life has been so stressful lately. This is just what I needed today. Thankyou

Fantastic video Frédérique! Straight from the heart.😍
Thanks Kristen 💗
What a great message. You are wonderful. Thank you. ⚘️
Excellent message. Thank you!
Thanks for sharing I will ask my gp x
