I am 64. After covid lockdown, friends were surprised to see me looking very elegant. There were few things that covid lockdown did to me were lose weight, change hair style, and watched videos like this. There were no hairdressers so, I cut my hair. The result is fantastic. Videos like yours helped me a lot. I kept my elegant look. Thanks to you.
You make it sound so simple 😊I’m going to keep trying. At almost 67 it’s difficult to know what to wear and not look like your trying too hard or to not look frumpy. Also love your makeup. So tired of seeing all the influencers with so much makeup and overdone eyebrows/eyelashes.
Same age and yes, finding that balance between trying too hard and frumpy is my challenge as well. I like the 80/20 rule Frédérique suggested; my own approach is similar as I like to feel like I have one piece a bit more edgy with my classics.
Try to spend most of your money on basics that actually fit your lifestyle. We all have our fantasy lives, but your clothes should fit your real life. Make a list of clothes you wear on a day to day basis. Now brainstorm to see how you would want to change that. Tiptoe in that direction by buying a couple of items. See if they work for you and fit into your lifestyle and wardrobe. Think about upcoming events. Try to get separates you can rewear often to wear for your events.
My “tip” for, looking “put together “ is to remember that your outerwear should always be considered when getting dressed for the day - by this I mean that your coat (when wearing one) and scarf, hat, etc should coordinate with whatever you are wearing underneath, as often what’s underneath will be seen at the same time. Your coat should be a part of the total look.
My friends always comment on all my coats! I buy a couple every year, mostly in classic styles and always in the best fabric that I can afford. It makes such a difference. If I could have only three I would choose a classic trench , a good black wool coat and a standout color ( whetever is your personal best) . It makes a huge difference in the way you carry yourself. P.S. you can find great quality coats at very decent prices on Poshmark. It doesn't have to cost a fortune. If they are a little outdated you can hem it or change the buttons.
Your videos are always a pleasure to watch. You talking about keeping your hair well-groomed,I remembered a scene yesterday. I was at sephora and I smelled dirty hair from a girl next to me. I thought at the time: Please wash your hair first, before buying makeup. A woman can be super well dressed and if her hair is poorly maintained or dirty it destroys her image.
My beauty tip: Oil pulling with coconut oil, even just once per week for 20 minutes does so much to help your teeth stay sparkling white! I drink red wine, tea and coffee, so I know this works. I get compliments from my dental hygienist on how white my teeth stay between cleanings. Loved this video, Frédérique, thank you mama!
My wonderful friend Dana who was my regular hairdresser for many years told me, “Even when you dress casual you look dressed up.” One of the kindest compliments I’ve ever received. Credit should go to attention to detail. The right makeup look and appropriate accessories for the outfit and occasion, clothes in impeccable condition (even if they’re t-shirt and shorts) and the right shoes in good repair, are all important to looking polished. One thing about shoes. They do have to be comfortable. If you’re in agony in your shoes, it won’t matter that your makeup and clothes and jewelry are beautiful. The beauty won’t translate through the painful shoes. I used to sell shoes at a high-end department store and I promise there are cute shoes that are also comfortable!
Thank you Frederique for your great advice. I love how you educate us! I’m 41 and I’ve never dressed this chique. People compliment me often now. I’m loving my style. Thanks again! I adore you!
I’m 62 and don’t have any wrinkles or visible aging yet, most people don’t believe I’m not in my late 40s. I’ve never used any skincare products, except for moisturizing, high SPF sunscreen every single day since my early 20s and before that, I never purposefully tanned. After my first field season as a young geologist, I realized that my skin wasn’t going to last unprotected, and I was only doing my face, so I had a darker, reddish V on my upper chest and neck from the openings of my shirts. Since then, I’ve always applied sunscreen, every day year-round, to my neck and upper chest, as well as my face, and any other parts of my body that might catch any sun, like feet, arms or shoulders. Most women my age have leathery, spotted, wrinkled décolletages, it’s such a mark of aging. The skin there is super-thin and delicate, so it needs extra protection. My only regret is that I didn’t start using sunscreen as a child and teen, but it really wasn’t around until the late 1970s, maybe (I turned 20 in 1980). Also, I got one vicious sunburn accidentally when I fell asleep for hours in the sun, it was that time of month and I just dozed off. Most of the sun damage I do have is from that. Dermatologists always say it’s the cumulative daily exposure that’s most important, as well as not deliberate tanning, and that every sunburn dramatically increases the chance of skin cancer. My Dad’s always having to have his squamous cell skin cancers removed, I’m trying to prevent that, too, they have had to make some very deep, disfiguring surgeries. I’m always trying convince teens and young women to start using SPF daily, with some success. Some complain about it’s “greasiness” causing acne, so I recommend non-comedogenic ones, like Oil of Olay daily (something like that), which I’ve used for years. In winter I use a minimal SPF, unless going out for my walks, etc. A little sun on the body is good to keep Vitamin D levels up, so I let my legs tan a little. But, light from the sun is radiation and it does break down skin tissue.
My grandmother always said "you can tell a lady by her shoes". I am also 67 and that comment has stuck with me and influenced me since i was a little girl!
Merci ma belle! Posture and self-confidence are so important - and definitely “less is more”. Don’t be a fashion trend victim - find some classic basics - you will know what looks good on you. This is a perfect video ❤
So much common sense advice - it's surprising how many don't apply it!! We are all precious and deserve caring for ourselves 🥰 thank you for reminding us Frederique 😘
I like that touch of Auburn color in your hair..it actually makes you look younger and looking less pale! I have your same haircut, and I add that touch of color too!
This was really good! Although I practice most of it, it is always a good reminder! I am also going to show this to my daughter who is still learning...(as we all are!). Lots Love, Anne-Marie (Canada)
All good tips, Frederique. Re clothing hygiene, I am a big believer in airing clothes inside out overnight & checking for stains & smells. Of course, in our Queensland summer T-shirts need washing after a few hours' wear. I hand wash a lot to keep fabric in good condition. Anything with lycra needs to dry in shade. 😎
Frederique, could you make a video about scarves? I loved the one about the cashmere stole! However silk scarves (a la Hermès) are part of French culture, but can sometimes look "old lady". Merci!
Geometric-print, like stripes, dots, etc., scarves can look much more current than florals, Toteme has some great ones when you’re ready to invest in one. I do wear all kinds of silk scarves, but they’ve always been part of my personal style for 40 years, since my early 20s, and now I don’t much care if I look “Old Lady”, because I nearly am one at age 62. I suggest trying an inexpensive scarf with a simple stripe for an outfit or two, once the compliments start rolling in, they might feel more “you”, but if not, don’t force it. Every single time I wear a scarf, I get multiple compliments from strangers on my outfit. I needed a bit of courage to wear them at first, but I immediately began to feel wonderful in them, so I was very glad I did try them! Marie-Anne LeCouer, another fabulous French YT stylist, just put out a vid on ways to wear them, as did Shopping on Champagne (American, but also great). I think the secret is not to over over-stress or fuss with them, just throw one on and tie it!🙂
Merci... I appreciate the time you take to look at and respond to our comments. I could listen to your French accent all day. You have one if the best fashion and beauty blogs on Utube. I have learned alot of tips.
I have chronic illness and washing my hair is difficult, showering especially in a flare of symptoms. I'm sure your channel has a high quantity of people who have chronic illness but still try their best to keep their style.....but it's hard. Xxx
I have the same issue, my goal for today is to wash my hair! It’s been a week, but I couldn’t raise my arm, the usual problem. I used to always wash it daily, even though it was waist-length, now twice a week is a big accomplishment. I used to say “squeaky-clean, shiny hair is the best accessory”. I even think about setting up a regular, weekly or twice-weekly shampoo and blow-dry appointment, but my ears, neck, etc., don’t feel as clean that way as in showering and budget is a problem. Using the sink doesn’t work for me, too many problems. I do wash my body every day in the shower or tub, of course.🙂
My best tip for looking polished is to dress appropriately for the occasion and the circumstances. I consult my calendar each day to see what I have planned. If I know I will be walking a lot, I will need to choose comfortable flat shoes or boots. If I need to carry a lot, I will need to choose a larger handbag or tote bag. Next, I think about where I'm going, who I will be seeing, what I will be doing, the, weather forecast, and my mood. Only then do I begin to build my outfit. Preparing for the occasion and circumstances is what gives me my savoir faire and what makes me feel comfortable, confident, appropriate and yes, polished.
I love the 80% basic/20% fashion rule. Hmmm, one tip that works for me each morning is to meditate, focus on gratitude, kindness. That brings a natural smile to my face all day. When you smile, people are attracted to that, and usually they smile back. One question for women over 50 - the vintage clothing trend is big in the US. How can we rock vintage looks? I found an original Diane Von Furstenberg dress, kind of peasant style, black background with bursts of different floral prints, and ruffles at the neck. I love it, but wonder if it will look foolish.
I have a check list skin ,hair, nails usually a monochrome outfit in grey, Beige or black. I agree your grooming is the most important. Like clean shoes always check for loose threads dog hair or fuzzies , no wrinkles or stains ❤🥂
Hi Frederique, love your video…always so helpful. You look especially lovely, the top you are wearing is very feminine and so flattering. Best to you always. lol xxx
Génial bravo il y a tout 👍💪😉spf, makeup léger, des basiques de qualité, des sous vêtements propres et des cheveux nickels...😁🙏🏻 cocorico 🐓 🤣👍Bisooouuus 😘❤❤❤
I like simple but over 55 women start to look harder so something feminine or soft added helps like a nice scarf or pair of ear rings or puffy sleeves if plain top.
Thank you very much for another inspiring video! Would you share your secret what kind of bras you wear under every top that would clearly show a normal bra? I'd love to learn more about that!
My tip would be "less is more". Less makeup, minimal accessories, and not too many prints/colors in your outfits. I've been watching you for years and you've really become an incredible teacher/speaker. Have a great day Frédérique.
I'm a 61 yr old professional woman and half the time my makeup does NOT get washed off before bed! I am sooo bad! Lucky for me, I have good skin. (Don't ask me how!) I love your channel, listening to your accent is a blast!
The things I find important to looking good are: Clean - 1. no dirt - shoes, mud on coat (brush it off), no dirty fingernails or limp hair 2. Mend clothes - like sew on button, sew up hem if it comes loose. 3 Smell clean. 4, Restrict colour palette to a miximum of 3 colours. 5. Yoga for good posture. 6. Nutrition - essential in maintaining health and good skin. 7. Only buy clothes made with good quality fabric.
As a women in a man’s working industry (forklift driver) I find having a sheek style very difficult. People tend to think I’m over dressed. Living in Alberta Canada I find people focus less on their clothes. Or at least the people I hang with lol 😂
I love how you show a range of women of varying age throughout the video. I agree with the point about embracing your own personal style, be it hippy, classic or sporty, you will always feel confident if you are true to yourself 🤩
I’ve been all over the world, women in big cities are very chic no only in Paris. To say that French women are chic sounds weird to me. Chic women are all over, Milan, London, Buenos Aires, Rome, Florence, etc etc etc etc! Be chic like a french woman is an stereotypical concept! By the way I’ve seen fat women in France!
Chic is also a state of mind and taking time with one's appearance even if simple touches are added. I agree, when one gets "mature", even in France, women can pack on the pounds no matter what they do.
She is French, so she shares her unique expression of "chic" that is her rooted in her culture. What's chic in Marrekech is surely different than chic in Shanghai or chic in Mexico City. Not all of us are so lucky to travel the world. And who said anything about fat people?! I can't speak for others, but I suspect many people here are grateful for how Frédérique shares her perspectives and experiences with us. And chic is a French word, soooooo, I think it's weird that You would think calling French women chic is weird.
this is not the first time you leave those passive aggressive comments on my channel! any women all over the world are beautiful i talk about the french because I'm French, simple
I’m loving this video and will be checking out more! It may surprise you to know that chic women can also be found in rural areas. Especially with the internet and world wide travel availability, women are exposed to chic lessons and styles. As a teenager in a small midwestern town, I learned classic, chic style from my beautiful, educated mother . We also followed fashion in magazines. The absolute pinnacle of elegant style, to me, is shown in one’s attitude and grace toward others. That is very apparent in this lovely UA-cam presenter. Thank you.
Make sure your clothes are ironed properly especially with the linen trend. Looking as if you have slept in your clothes isn’t a polished look. What do you say?????
@@helenhall299 No, I mean plain old baby shampoo (I agree about the baby oil). Four years ago, I had shingles in my eye/forehead, so my skin was much too raw for regular cleansers. So, I used the shampoo with marvelous results.
Salut Frederique. J adore to. Énergie! )
Ok.
Can you please make a video on winter fashion? Everyone does autumn but no one does winter. I'm from Africa and have a ski trip in December but have no idea how to dress for the snow fashionably 🥲 help
My northern French grandmother would make my sister, cousin and I walk around her large house with 3 books on our heads, and even going through doors we could not let the books fall. If we did we would have to do it all again until it was perfect. We all ended up with perfect posture. Though working many hours on the computer all day I may need to try that again. Even if you have no wealth or education you can walk amongst kings with a good posture.
My father who always impressed his friends and acquaintances with his impecable manners taught me how to control my posture by challenging me to walk with books on my head. The other thing he said: your hair has to have movement, it shouldn’t be stiff around your head like a helmet. So I totally agree with Frédérique.
When I was in Paris,we stayed 8days, stayed in an apt, and walked every where, or took the subway. We saw thousands of people and I was surprised on what they wore. Mostly jeans , t shirt or white top with sneakers. I was expecting more dressy outfits. I personally dress nice every day living in the states. On vacation I wore silk skirts and tops with flat comfortable dress shoes.
Thank you Frederique! I have been watching and following you for a long time now and I have to say.....at age 50 I get so many compliments on my "look"......simple, sophisticated, flattering, timeless. And it's all thanks to YOU, for helping me to understand shapes, lines, colors (or lack thereof) and simplicity! I have always adored the look of French women, women who look effortlessly put together. And for the first time in my life, I feel like I am one of those women! :) Please, keep your videos coming! I have recommended you to so many of my friends and family!
😂😂 I always told my daughter the same thing you have said, clean hair, clean teeth, light make-up, clean clothes. We have a funny saying here in the UK " make sure you have clean underwear on, just in case you have an accident 😂 " Good advice video 🌹🌹
I have to ask: “have an accident” or “get into an accident”? Because if you have an accident (as in soil yourself 🫢) the cleanliness of your underwear doesn’t matter 😅
Aaaaa the dirty ponytail for days felt too personal for me 😂 I keep telling myself that I’m “training” my hair so I can wash it less frequently but… one of these days I’m going to admit to myself two and a half years of washing my hair less frequently didn’t do anything. My hair gets oily just as quickly as it used to before Covid and the luxury of working from home. Years ago I made a rule for myself: when in doubt - wash it. That’s about hair again. Too many times I looked at myself in the mirror in the morning assessing if my hair is good enough for another day. And after deciding it was, too many times I regretted it later in the day.
Same here. I have a ton of hair but it's thin so it gets oily fast. I use dry shampoo every nonwash day. I also try to only use conditioner on everything except the roots.
French women don’t eat sugar? France is world renowned for its pastries, chocolate, and breads. This whole cliché of the perfect French woman usually refers to the more affluent women of Paris. The more affluent women of Manhattan, New York are also slimmer and considered more fashionable. However, in the French region of Nord-Pas-de-Calais, 20.5% of the population is obese. Some of these cliches and stereotypes only serve to make less affluent French women and those of other cultures feel inferior. An entire population of women cannot be fashionable and skinny. Impossible standards of beauty. Still love ❤the channel. Wonderful fashion ideas.
Always love your videos Frederique! I look forward to watching every one of them. I think I should’ve been raised in Europe as I’ve loved the style and fashion sense of most European women since I was a teen- lol I’m 57 now 😂 I love going to Europe and watching women and men alike going about their day, for the most part they are put together and usually have some tension in their overall look. And the shopping is divine ❤ The North American culture of fashion is mostly relaxed and casual, with many women, young and old alike, not paying attention to even the smallest details that you’ve highlighted in this video. You are so right, you don’t have to spend a lot of money to look chic, smart, or expensive, you just have to pay attention to the small details that add up to a great overall look and feel 😌 👗 👜 👠 🧥 👄 💇♀️
Frederique you made me remember my parents,, truly good advice. WWE all need this advice you gave. My mother said clean clothes and shoes, nothing torn, no threads out, stained, nor wrinkled no matter if you are rich or poor. My father said clean and polish shoes every week. I change the pillowcase everything I wash my hair. By the way you look like your glowing, so nice.
Early in my career, I met two young career ladies, like me but French, while having lunch at a restaurant. I had enough college French in those days to have a brief conversation with them. I still remember how fabulous they looked with their chic styling, and fresh, natural-looking makeup and hair. They were wearing simple, high-quality (probably wool gabardine) solid color, tailored dresses, with great, minimal accessories, one had a silk scarf on. They weren’t wearing black, but color, one dress was a beautiful, natural grass green color, no 80s neon in sight. I can’t remember their shoes, but I don’t think they were the pointy-toe stilettos some women were torturing themselves with in the 80s because I always noticed those and wondered how they could walk in them. I wouldn’t call either of these beautiful, but they looked like they were, so everyone there, male or female, obviously admired them, not just me. It’s been 40 years and I still have that French chic impression from them. I think they were just great at looking their best, but without too much effort, and everything they wore was very high-quality, simple and restrained, the three essentials of elegance, to me at least.
Please do a video for winter clothes.I live in Europe and as you know, we do have 4 seasons.how could we dress up in the winter and be warm and still look good.one more thing If is possible give us more options to choose from sites as many they are difficult to track and postage costs even more than the items. Thank you so much.❤❤❤
Good morning. Such excellent advice, Frédérique, and well taken by an 80 year old. There were 3 stand outs for me. First, cleansing your face morning and night. Such good advice, and something I have been preaching to my granddaughter since she was very young. Second, sunscreen. In my youth, there was not sunscreen available with high SPF and what was available washed off with the first water contact. As an ocean lover in my younger years, and a South Florida lady now, I am paying for this lack of protection. And third, posture. 15 years ago, I fractured my back and it was not diagnosed. Now I am bent forward at about a 25 degree angle. So no matter what I wear and how chic it is, my posture destroys any look. What they say about not appreciating something until it is gone, is so true; so to me good posture is on a par with cleanliness about my person. Thanks again, you are such a delightful person; you make your followers feel valued.
@Judith Kerr Thank you for your comment… the wisdom you imparted that underscores the video is impactful. I remember the sunscreen [lived in Arizona] and skin care but your posture story was valuable just like Frédérique stressed. 🌸
Great advice for the young ones: take care of your skin, check your posture and be clean! Love your videos and love to wear black! Lately, you’ve put me on to mixing camel with black. Enjoying that combo! Keep up the excellent work:)
I just found your channel this morning. I'm an American. My father came here from France when he was 28. He was from La Varenne. He's gone now, so I love listening to your accent. Anyway, I love your fashion advice and I look forward to watching more of your videos. Au revoir!

Hello Celia
Frederique, could you make a video about scarves? I loved the one about the cashmere stole! However silk scarves (a la Hermès) are part of French culture, but can sometimes look "old lady". Merci!
agreed

I needed a bit of courage to wear them at first, but I immediately began to feel wonderful in them, so I was very glad I did try them! Marie-Anne LeCouer, another fabulous French YT stylist, just put out a vid on ways to wear them, as did Shopping on Champagne (American, but also great). I think the secret is not to over over-stress or fuss with them, just throw one on and tie it!🙂
Thank you, Frederique! You always look well put together and stylish!
great video! love all the tips, posture is what i need to work with ; thanks for reminder…also- you look really great! ❤
Merci... I appreciate the time you take to look at and respond to our comments. I could listen to your French accent all day. You have one if the best fashion and beauty blogs on Utube. I have learned alot of tips.
Thank you! 😃
I am obsessed with your channel.
Wow, thank you!
I agree, grooming skin, hair & nails play a huge part in looking groomed.
merci x
You are such a good teacher to learn from easy to understand thank you ma❤
Very simply and practice thank You Dear 😘
You always make me smile Frederique!
I have a check list skin ,hair, nails usually a monochrome outfit in grey, Beige or black. I agree your grooming is the most important. Like clean shoes always check for loose threads dog hair or fuzzies , no wrinkles or stains ❤🥂
Subscriber from Phils.i like this channels, ived learned a lot from you.
Thank you for sharing this, Frederique. Really helpful advice!
Glad it was helpful!
Merci beaucoup🙏
Would love to know what your lip color is. It looks fantastic with your skin!

Such valuable and wise advice. Thank you.
Glad you think so!
Posture, posture, posture! Love all of your videos.
Very good advice for us Frédérique ,thankyou
thank you very much a very complete video of teachings that I have learned a lot with you greetings from Spain Maria
You are very welcome
I love the top you're wearing. Can you give us a link, please?

Posture truly is everything. I’m 5’4” and many people think I’m 5’6”, even without heels. Excellent posture also shaves years off our appearance.
Seriously well done !!!
Struggling with color - I feel your pain, Frédérique!!!
I like simple but over 55 women start to look harder so something feminine or soft added helps like a nice scarf or pair of ear rings or puffy sleeves if plain top.
Frédérique, again fantastique! Can you speak about gray hair AND staying stylist during menopause🙄🙄😐 TY😘
Great suggestion!
Excellent advice as always ❤
Thank you very much for another inspiring video! Would you share your secret what kind of bras you wear under every top that would clearly show a normal bra? I'd love to learn more about that!
Great idea!!
Love you Frederique !! Muah
My tip would be "less is more". Less makeup, minimal accessories, and not too many prints/colors in your outfits. I've been watching you for years and you've really become an incredible teacher/speaker. Have a great day Frédérique.
Where's your clothes rack from, Frederique? It is gorgeous.
You are already a flawless diamond.
Love all you do,you also have a beautiful soul ❤
Thank you! 😊
I'm a 61 yr old professional woman and half the time my makeup does NOT get washed off before bed! I am sooo bad! Lucky for me, I have good skin. (Don't ask me how!) I love your channel, listening to your accent is a blast!
Oh wow!
Love your videos ❤
The things I find important to looking good are: Clean - 1. no dirt - shoes, mud on coat (brush it off), no dirty fingernails or limp hair 2. Mend clothes - like sew on button, sew up hem if it comes loose. 3 Smell clean. 4, Restrict colour palette to a miximum of 3 colours. 5. Yoga for good posture. 6. Nutrition - essential in maintaining health and good skin. 7. Only buy clothes made with good quality fabric.
A good video. Always amazing is you. You look great as always. Great tips of outfits.
Yes, because “older women” are the sexist and smartest creatures on this planet. Much love to Ghana 🇬🇭 from the USA 🇺🇸
Thank you so much!
@@ms.frederique You welcome.
Where were you when I was 25? Great advice lovely Frederique! 😘
Love that!
No chunky shoes, I don’t want to look like a construction worker!! I’m a woman.. Why do woman want to wear mens shoes?
that's totally different, this video is about looking elegant and chic.
Thank you❤
You're welcome 😊
Love your personality 👍
Thanks 🤗
As a women in a man’s working industry (forklift driver) I find having a sheek style very difficult. People tend to think I’m over dressed. Living in Alberta Canada I find people focus less on their clothes. Or at least the people I hang with lol 😂
I love how you show a range of women of varying age throughout the video. I agree with the point about embracing your own personal style, be it hippy, classic or sporty, you will always feel confident if you are true to yourself 🤩
Thanks for sharing!!
Omg I hate the chunky shoe/ boot trend lol! It reminds me of junior high!
I really love your style..I ♥️♥️♥️♥️
Thank you so much!!
Great video
I always advocated skincare to family members. I say get a skin analysis from a reputable dermatologist and buy good products from proven brands.
Luv luv luv. Luv luv luv. ;-D
My Tip to look put together is: pay attention to the details, like your clothes properly pressed, your hair, nails, teeth, fragrance, & hygiene,👌
Now hair? Mmmmm this is where I fall down! I'm not good at change and I have had a Bob (different styles) since I was 4 haha. Xxx
@@kathysteele3071 Yes, I do -- by American fashionistas of all ages. Most are similar -- KISS -- Keep it Simple, Sister.
What do you say?????
linen is an organic fabric won't ever be 100% ironed and crisped :)
I find that a very good and cheap make up remover is plain old baby shampoo.
You mean baby oil? I find it a bit too oily. Garnier has excellent, well priced micellar waters.
@@helenhall299 No, I mean plain old baby shampoo (I agree about the baby oil). Four years ago, I had shingles in my eye/forehead, so my skin was much too raw for regular cleansers. So, I used the shampoo with marvelous results.
Salut Frederique.
Budget conscient. Mais j aimerai aussi voir la
Marque original. If that makes sense
(J ai la meme histoire que toi avec les states. J adore to. Énergie! )
What can I do with deformed spine? I can’t stand straight but I want to look classy and polished. It bothers me very much.
If you can, focus on your hair -- highlights, good blowout, etc., -- and your nails.
I have same arthritis of spine as Nd joints hate way it's deformed my posture,,xx
❤❤❤
Lovely sensible advice F but I think Tats let the woman down so much to the point of being ruff
That well dressed woman with the dirty shoes was probably wearing Golden Goose.
Can you please make a video on winter fashion? Everyone does autumn but no one does winter. I'm from Africa and have a ski trip in December but have no idea how to dress for the snow fashionably 🥲 help
please check my winter playlist thanks
So true
When I was in Paris,we stayed 8days, stayed in an apt, and walked every where, or took the subway. We saw thousands of people and I was surprised on what they wore. Mostly jeans , t shirt or white top with sneakers. I was expecting more dressy outfits. I personally dress nice every day living in the states. On vacation I wore silk skirts and tops with flat comfortable dress shoes.
That’s my comfy, too, silk skirts, dresses and tops🙂
Same here… Did not see much fashion in Paris either…
Thank you Frederique! I have been watching and following you for a long time now and I have to say.....at age 50 I get so many compliments on my "look"......simple, sophisticated, flattering, timeless. And it's all thanks to YOU, for helping me to understand shapes, lines, colors (or lack thereof) and simplicity! I have always adored the look of French women, women who look effortlessly put together. And for the first time in my life, I feel like I am one of those women! :) Please, keep your videos coming! I have recommended you to so many of my friends and family!
thank you so much
😂😂 I always told my daughter the same thing you have said, clean hair, clean teeth, light make-up, clean clothes. We have a funny saying here in the UK
" make sure you have clean underwear on, just in case you have an accident 😂 "
Good advice video 🌹🌹
lol my Nan used to say the same thing :)
In Australia too! 😀
In US also era 1950s, 60s.
Light gloss, nails, no hair ties showing!
I have to ask: “have an accident” or “get into an accident”? Because if you have an accident (as in soil yourself 🫢) the cleanliness of your underwear doesn’t matter 😅
Aaaaa the dirty ponytail for days felt too personal for me 😂
I keep telling myself that I’m “training” my hair so I can wash it less frequently but… one of these days I’m going to admit to myself two and a half years of washing my hair less frequently didn’t do anything.
Same. Thin, pale hair is the worst. On day 3 I sometimes do a dry shampoo. By 3pm every time it's a big regret.
I always check my clothes for loose threads, pilling etc. But to "flog a dead horse"...any outfit will be spoilt by the wrong underwear.
I like it more when an older woman is teaching me how to look good ooo. thank you ma'am. from Ghana 🇬🇭 🇬🇭🇬🇭🇬🇭🇬🇭🇬🇭
thank you x 😊

Hello Helen
Do you how many chemicals are in that sun screen? Remember it goes into your skin into your bloodstream!
I just found your channel this morning. I'm an American. My father came here from France when he was 28. He was from La Varenne. He's gone now, so I love listening to your accent. Anyway, I love your fashion advice and I look forward to watching more of your videos. Au revoir!
welcome lovely x
