  • In the process of replacing the belt on my Side By Side, of course I ran into issues. With a little ingenuity and the right tools it was not a hard process to correct.

Super helpful, took the mystery right out of the CVT. Really appreciate you showing how everything goes together as well as your creative solutions. I’ll store that little nugget for later when I inevitably break mine 😂

hi what was the size of the threaded rod used to compress the clutch?

Never seen such difficulty changing theses belts , the jack bolt is there to take the spring tension off the belt enough so you can roll it off , there is little to no resistance to do this , can't see how it could get stripped unless you bottomed things out and over forced it. As for putting the secondary back on I never had to use anything other than hand force.

I agree, should have been a simple process. I think what happened was the guy before me used a power tool to run the bolts in and didn't stop and that made a ramp out of the pad and stripped the threads out. Sometimes it doesn't work out like we thought it should. Thanks for watching

sounds like what happened , normally only one of three holes are threaded , the other two are for the holding tool
