You are right,tolien novels were a big isnpiration to a lot of pop culture,especially star wars and probably the infinite gems from marvel too.
I fail to see how he could be like Thanos. In the movies Thanos wanted to make balance. In the OG story it was all to win Death’s approval and half the universe was just the means to end. Melkor wanted to be God or if not destroy what God created. He’s basically Lucifer, specifically Paradise Lost Lucifer. He couldn’t accept being a pawn basically. Though he’s made of Eru’s most prideful parts so in a way it was almost inevitable that he’d rebel, but that may have been Eru’s plan the whole time
Arguably, Melkor was, is, and ever will be punished for the discord wrot in the music of creation. Those themes he introduced lead ultimatly to his downfall, his chaining, and will in the end result in the black sword of Turin breaching his heart, to destroy him utterly and forever.
Erus quote from the beginning of the video explains why he wasnt punished for adding discord into the song. Also the Ainur were told to add their own expressions into it, its just that Melkor went way too hard lol

Man, I thought I had some serious deja-vu going on seeing this. Sucks you had to take down some vids, but it is what it is.
Two LOTR UA-camrs I recommend are GeekZone and Men of the West, check them out if you can. Ulmo is my favorite of the Valar - he's basically Middle-Earth's Posideon, but less dickish.
Anime-wise, I recommend - Berserk (90's version, not the 2016 one), Trigun, and Cowboy BeBop. Enjoy, and hope you have a good day/evening dude!

I just starting watching Invincible, I guess it's not really anime but it's very good. One punch man is great for laughs. An anime movie that has had the most impact on my life and I will never forget is "Grave of the fireflies" it's a great movie to react to. I want to give you a warning about it but at the same time, I think you should watch it without doing any research on it.
Great suggestions I'll add them to my list! Yeah I always just watch something instead of looking into it that way its a more natural reaction :)
Oh man, if you're getting into Anime You've got to React to Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood, but I do suggest cutting out the intro Themes and you may need to mute section with prominent music, Anime seems to pick up strikes very easily on youtube.
Yeah thats why im starting a patreon whole thing will be up on there no cuts but it will be cut for youtube!
Alot of suggestions for full metal alchemist and its Def on the list but I think im torn between Vinland Saga and Attack On Titan for my 1st anime!

Vinland saga is great too but it just can’t compare to attack on titan.
But you should watch all of them attack on Titan and Vinland saga.

If you wanna check out anime than I recommend Attack on titan over any other anime.
It’s probably one of the best anime’s out there not joking.
Attack on titan is probably the best anime I’ve ever watched.
But its really popular because of that I recommend not searching for it on the internet because you will get spoiled about everything people love to spoil that series especially because it’s full of plot twists.
I also recommend watching a series called death note it’s an anime as well. You can find it on Netflix at least I can here in Sweden.
Netflix made a live action version of it however as well. Don’t watch that it’s literal shit everyone hates it.
Also suggest watching Vinland saga it’s pretty damm awesome.
