Thanks a lot for all these videos on how to replace your AC system. Because of your videos I saved about $1000. You rock man keep on making these awesome videos.
when looking on rockauto for compressors, it shows hs17 and hs18, is there a difference?
Thanks for the Information it was helpful
Will the ac compressor still kick on and off if it is low on freon, my ac blows hot air and I don't hear the compressor kicking on but moving the clutch by hand it turn freely
Yes, that sounds like all you have is a compressor that is low on freon.
@@bryzgarage5028 thanks for the quick response I appreciate it
I can't seem to find any other videos this video helped me out a lot I have a Hyundai 2004 XG350; however, I can't seem to get the compressor out. Unlike your vehicle I have a bar that prevents me from taking it out or even rotating it upwards or downwards so it can fall out head first or bottom first. The frame is directly in the way and above that are the other belt Wheels that are fitted to the frame of the engine block. There is one opening though however I'm not sure if it's okay for me to disconnect the muffler that goes to the engine at the bottom. Please get back to me I left the gates open for the 2 compressor valves for a while now and I don't want moisture to get in the whole system.
Did you pull off the oil sensor? That is usually blocking the way out.
BryzGarage its fine. Just ended up using a jack with a 2x4 and jacked up the oil pan to make room for me. However im sure the moisture got inside the thing and i don't know if there's any iron scraps in it cuz all the 4oz of fluid dripped out so now i can't tell. Its late and imma finish tomorrow.
I have been waiting for this since the summer started, my compressor is leaking, do you have a link or exact part number for this compressor? Thank you sir
My Pleasure! I'll add the Compressor part number to the description right now. Best of Luck!
How much should one expect to be charged for someone to do this?
It depends on where you live and who you take it to but I would estimate around 500.00 to 1200.00 for just the compressor install. It's a lot for for additional parts though such as your driver, other parts and additional labor.
just do it yourself bro its easy
Hey bro can bad ac compressor cause engine misfire and stall at the red light?
I've never heard of that. Sorry. Did your accessory belt break or slip?
@@bryzgarage5028 I don't know. My car been misfiring and hesitation. It start then stall if make quickstop. Stall at red light. Check engine came on. Replaced spark plug. Ignition coil. Pcv. Still same. Bit now just realized my ac compressor is bad when I try to go for ac service. Can bad ac compressor fock up my overall car performance?
@@wooshoo8033 no, it can't. With out seeing what it's doing. Try cleaning your m.a.f. (mass air flow) sensor. With all the things that you have replaced, I'd try the m.a.f sensor next. It's easy to get too, and only use maf sensor cleaner on it, not carb cleaner.
@@wooshoo8033 it's easy to test your maf sensor too. Just start your car and unplug it, then plug it back in. See if there is a difference.
@@bryzgarage5028 i unugged it and it still runs. Means it's bad? But I tried ckeani g it but still same. Gonna replace it
