I've been watching background videos a lot lately and so far yours is my favorite for a number of reasons. 1st - you are very clear in your instructions, but also concise 2nd - because you are concise you aren't wasting my time on things not related to what I am looking for. I appreciate that so much! 3rd - these look to be truly doable by a beginner. I appreciate not needing a bunch of tools or stencils or anything. Honestly, I just need gesso and thin tape, I have everything else. Thank you so much. These background are all so beautiful. I can't wait to get started.
@@artjournalstories7313 oh yes thank you, I will. Tomorrow I'm hoping to get the paints out. Not even going to wait for the gesso, just start practicing for the fun of it. Plus I just found some neon acrylics I had on a box. Can't wait to see the colors.
Finding your channel is the best thing that happened to me today. I believe a whole new world of creative possibilities has been opened to me by watching your videos. Thank you so so much for sharing what you've learned. 💙💜
I love those backgrounds and that paint is really vibrant! I keep looking at them, I need to go ahead and buy them. I'm such a slow crafter, I don't want my paint to dry before I am finished with a background or whatever I'm working on. Thank you for those techniques, they seem quick and easy as well as beautiful. Hugs and love from Texas ... Norene! ♡♡♡
TinRoofVintage lovely to hear from you Norene! I’m glad you liked them, and the paint is really vibrant! Just spritz a little water if you’re worried about the paint drying 😉 hugs to Texas, xx
Wow. Great backgrounds. That is usually the part that baffles me with my art journal - what to do about the background other just painting flat. Now I have a ready reference on some options. Thank you.
Dear Umut love your art and creative projects 🙏🏻 can you please name the brush you use applying gesso, the short flat one. 2.29 on the video. Thank you 🌺🌹💐🦋🙏🏻🤗
Thanks so much Ipek. It's a brush from Stamperia. But, in art stores, you can find any flat brush for acrylics will do the same job. Just go for a synthetic brush, and it will do the job. Cheers, x
Phyllis 4466 thank you! It’s a bit textured as it’s better for acrylic paints to hold on to a bit of textured surface. It’s like a linen texture I can say, very subtle. Hope this helps. Tfw!

What a lot of great and easy backgrounds. Good for beginners and Intermediates. QUESTION: Was the paper smooth finish or textured?
Phyllis 4466 thank you! It’s a bit textured as it’s better for acrylic paints to hold on to a bit of textured surface. It’s like a linen texture I can say, very subtle. Hope this helps. Tfw!
Umut Rados Thanks so much. I know the kind of paper you describe.
I love the glass surface you are working on. Do you have any information on it?
I'm afraid it's not available anymore, but Tonic Studios have one, check them out
