I have been playing for 2 months and today I finished only my second expedition, getting a 7/0 second trial with Freljord + Noxus (with Ionia splash). And since I attribute my success to all the tips and strategies I have seen in your videos - especially of the importance of always having spell mana, if possible, I feel the need to thank you for the amazing content you have posting non-stop since the beta started. Keep doing what you do because you are great at it.
It's very honest of you to start your video with such a speech. I played a lot of other games and my friends were allways respecting me way too much for my deckbuilding. One day, I decided to come only with original decks I had built which were absolutely trash. Not only did we have a great laugh that day, but they also understood better that when I told them that something was jsut bad or couldn't work, it was likely because I had tried similar things already :D I started runeterra 3 days ago, and I'm very lucky since the 2nd deck I built and in which I invested a few wild cards is a very decent one. Now, let's enjoy some yetis! Looking at the list, it looks like a nice deck prototype to test concepts!
I played the new spiders deck you created and was surprised you hadn't made a video yet. It's AMAZING. super fun to play, it really is. I just built it on a whim cause i was browsing deck lists and wow, easily my new fave. Keep it up, stay humble! love it!
As good as Kingdom season 1 was I personally was not as amazed with season 2. Imo its a bit slow paced and doesn't focus as much around the zombie fights.

I've been having a lot of fun with ephemeral midrange since the ephemeral buffs. Basically a kalista hecarim deck with bunch of ephemeral tokens to level up hecarim on his first attack. Harrowing and they who endure + atrocity as two alternative finishers depending on your matchup. Soul shepherd is a massively underrated card that can let you keep up with the super popular demacian bannerman decks by summoning endless 4-2 shark chariots on all your attacking turns.
I made the most popular Shark Combo deck on RuneterraFire with Kallista & Hecarim. Still not 100% optimized as I won't add Thresh to it since I don't own any Thresh and used my last champ cards on Kallista. After I can craft Thresh I will be adding him & change the deck to fit him more
I actually built that deck and it's amazing. The whole point is getting beefy units and supporting them with legion drummer,shen,kato the arm, the lifesteal support guy. You also have Darius in the deck.

I LOVE the fact that Runeterra allows you to daily and non-stop play with meme/experimental fun decks like this against similar players. It's been 2 months I think, and I have only played like 10 ranked games, because I just don't care, I play only normals and try out fun decks like this every day. 9/10 of my opponents in Normal are also memes/experiments or just concede-farm. Meanwhile Ranked is full of Ionia/Frejlord Elusives from the get-go

I atm play this kind of deck with teemo & braum combined with professor, poro Snacks etc. The elusive poros with teemo as well as the overwhelm ones are doing the work for me. Not toptier but working at 60%winrate at plat is enough for me 😁
Hi, as a yeti fan I've built decent decks splashing into all the different regions. From my perspective, Yetis actually play the best with SI (revive mechanic has synergy with the main yeti cards). Mono-freljord is also pretty good alongside avarosian outriders (can throw in trifarian assessor for free draws too). Then for fun, I took the current elusive/freljord deck and switched out omen hawk for yearlings and it works pretty well (not as good as with omen hawk ofc), using kinkou similar to a troop elnuk drop. Yetis do need more love. Also, ancient yeti is highly underestimated. It comes with overwhelm and you can drop it at round 4 if you start with it, which gets you a good lead early (except against early aggro ofc) Kind of disappointed Mogwai didn't run pack mentality tho.

It was in Diamond II rank, I was playing with Spooky Karma + spiders. He did nothing in the early game and suddenly developed Von Yipp and filled the board with poros (elusives, quick attack, etc). Then more poros + poro snack when I dealed with the first batch. One game is not reliable metrics but it worked pretty well and fast. Would you like to try this instead of Yetis? One interaction which I don´t understand very well is: If you drop 1 mana cost cards at 0 mana cost due to progress day, they are buffed by Von Yipp as if they cost 1 mana, but if you drop spells which cost less due to progress day with Heimerdinger on board, they generate turrets at their cheaper cost and not their pre progress day cost. Why is it different with Heimerdinger and Von Yipp? Could anyone clarify on this?
Yipp kinda reminds of how people splash Prankster in Shadow Isles sometimes. He's such a cool card, wish it was more meta. That synergie with jury rig was disgusting btw
Hey Maogwai! I've been running Von Yipp since before the brood awakening buff and I can't to see how you run your list. I managed to create a list that's winning more than its losing and I'm a super fan of the professor becuase I loved paladin Hobgoblin decks in Hearthsone back in the day. Von Yipp feels like a love letter to that card, and I recently climbed all the way to silver one! It took a good long while to get a list I'm happy with, but I bet I'm gonna get a lot of inspiration from your next video for sure. Hope I can catch your stream!
A deck I have been using for about a week (for fun of course) is Yeti Elnuk. So inconsistent but is fun to see. I combine Yeti and Elnuk of course with a few other followers. I use Aniva and Ezreal to help pop weak cards and try to control the board somewhat. Also hearing the baby yeti die, is so sad lol.
I personally love janky decks like this one. I'd love to see you try to break Back Alley Barkeep. In my experience, the deck can generate a crapton of value if given enough time, but more often than not the enemy generates enough pressure to win before you really start your thing.
the best time to experiment with new decks, in my opinion, is just after you hit a new division (gold 4, plat 4, diamond 4, etc). You can play around without getting punished.
I have another fun deck concept that got me to diamond, when I only had about an hour a day to play. I've kept it secret so far, but I'd love to see you experiment with it. It's a Kato and Shariza deck that runs pnz to utilize elusive map, overwhelm and quick attack to take advantage of Shariza's double nexus dmg keyword. Note: I stopped using this deck when everyone and their grandmother started running ×3 purify decks.
Hey Mog!! keep up the great content, i watch it every day!! any new takes on this deck, with the rising tides expansion and the (rather old) buff to avarosan trapper? avarosan outriders make 8/8 overwhelm yetis, ursine spiritwalkers make all yetis have overwhelm, perhaps iceborn legacy could be usefull too... if you IL the yetis and have a prof VY, its 1 mana 9/9... its not competitive but maybe a new take on this deck could make it fun and... not trash?
I hope if and when we get an expansion we get Annie and her monster teddy bear added to the champions list. If you've ever played League, she's a lot of fun.
In the Kinkou Elusives game, I think you had better chances playing the poro. It was a 20% chance of getting Daring Poro, which would work well as a blocker.

Hey, have you tried inputing in a couple Pack Mentality in this deck for game closing purposes ? It feels like that could be the late game push that this deck need; suddenly your plain 5/5 would become actual big threat for quite a surprise factor on the opponents side !
Dude, just go full Yeti (all 5 cards x3) with Frostbite (most of them) and Deny. The deck is really good. It has a shitty mana curve so you use Frostbite to gain time but late game your Yetis destroy everything. Denys are useful for your full board protection later. It doesn't do well vs Elusive decks but everything else is game.
I think a little outro after the vids would go a LONG way bro. Just a min or 2 or you summarizing what went wrong/was brilliant on the showcased games. Just my 2 cents. LOVE the content bro! Bless
Im maybe not as good as you, but i love yeti decks! I climbed pretty hard in plat with an overwhelm yeti deck with trynda and darius. Maybe u can try it too :)
The video is nicely timed, i was about to ask you about the deck building receipe as you said it, i do not watch the stream because everytime i go there is someone else (hosted i guess). I also actually made a deck with yetis and trifarian assessor so Noxus + Freljord but i am lacking the vibe of the buidling in itself. I am trying to stick to a theme (poro, elites, drawing, fearsome... whatever) but i can't manage to use yetis + trifarian assessor combos run smoothe. I am sharing the deck in case. I made this deck and ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT thanks so much - this is my favorite region combo and I love unconventional yet themed decks.
Here's an idea for the future: try making a Noxus overwhelm deck with Shen to give barriers to their low-health mid to late game units.

Brewing bad decks is usually fun and hilarious, provided the idea works occasionally.
Its a shame nunu and willump isn't in lor. I feel like yeti's will get some decent cards once nunu and willump are introduced as champions.

Im maybe not as good as you, but i love yeti decks! I climbed pretty hard in plat with an overwhelm yeti deck with trynda and darius. Maybe u can try it too :)

The video is nicely timed, i was about to ask you about the deck building receipe as you said it, i do not watch the stream because everytime i go there is someone else (hosted i guess).
I also actually made a deck with yetis and trifarian assessor so Noxus + Freljord but i am lacking the vibe of the buidling in itself.
I am trying to stick to a theme (poro, elites, drawing, fearsome... whatever) but i can't manage to use yetis + trifarian assessor combos run smoothe.
