- A great little afternoon in my local woods eating local food provided by local people (heard that before somewhere!). I modified my salad steamer to make a pot support and it worked a treat - I hope you enjoy the video; please give me a thumbs-up and a sub!!

A really nice video, thank you!
Hi , Richard , A really nice relaxing video !!!! That sandwich looked great!!!! My wife is always on the lookout for your new vids,. You have such a naturally likeable personality,. The wife loves the way you giggle when you talk!! Blessings. Mid Wales😊😊😊
Thanks 👍
Loved the video Richard! Must try the pickled mushrooms.
You should!
If anyone wants to obtain one of those fire-bowls, they're actually a steamer insert to put into saucepans, so will be in the pots and pans areas of shops. Nice vid as always, Richard. I'll be off to hunt down some wild garlic!
The stakes as a pot stand is a brilliant idea
Great idea with the veg steamer, I might have to try it myself. Lovely to see Pudding out scampering around.
Thanks pal!
first time Ive seen the ridgemonkey great idea
I love it!
Lovely to see you out and about again, Mr O! That sandwich looked fab… perfectly crispy and gooey at once 😊.
I’m glad to see you’ve started to drink the correct colour of tea now 😉… it’s about time!
We hope Mr Ramsey didn’t have any criticisms for you when he called … “Hi!” to S 🤗 🤗 👍🏻👍🏻 x
Over here that salad spinner is sold as a steamer. Good idea with the tent stakes I’ll have to try that.
That was a great video Richard!!! Really enjoyed it! I loved the two shots of the incoming calls on your phone. Very Clever!!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Now that’s a fancy sarnie. Yum yum. And the tea is a perfect colour Mr O. Nice to see you as always D&S
Xx
That looks delicious. Now you have me craving a nice toasty. I'm glad you managed to have a nice lunch out in the woods. It's always nice to just get out and do the simple things to feed your soul. 🙂
It was!
Thanks mate - am currently suffering the horrors of the in-laws for the bank holiday and this has lifted my spirits from the never-ending hell of ‘Are you sure that’s cooked through?’ - ‘I don’t recognise that wine’ - ‘ your (Mrs Viking) sister makes that so much better’ 😱 - a bit of sense and quiet and good food - cheers buddy 🙏
Loved the video, very pleasant. Actually laughed out loud at the phone call jokes, especially Gordon Ramsay 😄 I've tried the firepit solution that you demonstrate, and i got one idea from your video, maybe you can use some nuts and longer bolts and put them through the holes of the firepit to make pot supports? That is if the ground is stoney or if you're on a solid stone surface, and can't push tentpegs into the ground. Sturdy and easy to assemble / disassemble ☺ Nice to see more frequent updates!
That looked very tasty. I’ve been thinking about getting a ridge monkey for things like this and also breakfasts.
The weather is now amazing for camping.
I really enjoyed that. Thank you. I've got the TFG version of that pie iron. It has a wire loop on one handle that holds the pans together when doing jumbo sarnies like yours. Thanks again.
Richard, a few years ago, we actually paid for some Wild Garlic plugs instead of replanting roots from the woods, and planted them in a half barrel in the garden. They never disappoint, and prosper like Mint. Great recipe today, and nice to see everyone. Great hugs and woofs to Pudding, best to you all. J&A&B&T.
"Stealing them from the woods" ... really?
@@Uploaderization No malice or offence intended to anyone here, or to foragers Marcus, poor choice of original wording with the benefit of hindsight and your own observation - just meant to convey that you can buy plug plants to plant at home! They are fabulous every year. Please reply if you still find this an inappropriate post, and I will delete it as soon as I see your reply. Have a good weekend.
@@aynsleycooper365 I see that you have changed your post, and i now understand what you meant by it. No need to delete anything, everything is all good! You have a nice weekend too!

Well done please go on your videos are super
Toastie looked delicious. Thank you for sharing. Take care Richard.👍👍👍
Wow. 😋😍👍
Thank you 😋
Lovely video Richard, enjoyed the simplicity, and of course your trademark little comedic moments!
Many thanks!
Thanks Richard! I always enjoy your videos and this one was no exception! Bacon is smoked. Pancetta is not. So they do taste different from each other. Your sammich was right of the verge of being overdone, but WOW it looked super delish!!! I like them quite brown!! I love a good grilled toastie!! Thanks again Richard! Stay safe and healthy!
Hi. It’s woodland (not restaurant) cooking. Didn’t think I’d done too badly under the circumstances.
@@RichardOutdoors No not at all! I hope you didn't take my comment as a criticism, as it was not. I would NEVER criticize you.
Your sammie looked excellent!!
Superb content! Good strong tea!
Great vid Richard. That looks delicious 😋. You can't beat camp cooking. I went last week and did some glamping but cooked out at camp. Steaks, brats, hotdogs, burgers etc...so good. I like to see you Jack Russell out with you too. I had one myself for 18 years. Miss him a lot 😢. See you soon...
👍👍
Looked delicious my friend! Going to have to try those pickled mushrooms 🤠
So good
Hey Richard, nice little camp n cook. I want a ridge monkey now tho! .. I have same collander thing for twig burning but I modified mine differently, I cut two of the folding blades off but left about half inch near hung intact. The. I used a metal trivet that sits on the blades whilst collander is half open, trivet locks it in place. So now I have a hole in the side of it to feed twigs through, and I can cook on top using trivet as a griddle. .. I like your tent pegs mod tho.
Sounds great!
Great video, Richard! Nice to see Pudding. Where's your FireTrough?
Good question!
so enjoyed that thank you
So glad!
I couldn't watch this when out last night as busy so what a great way to start my Friday. Another great video as always and you are so right about keeping things simple, nothing wrong with a cuppa and sandwich in the woods. Great getting out in the woods too with the doggies as my dogs love that too. Thanks again for the video, stay safe and healthy. 👍👍
Great food Richard, have you a link to the knife in the vlog? stay safe , Jack
Hi Jack. Sorry, it was a present years ago.
Great video as usual👍
Glad you enjoyed it
