My heart always breaks a little when he mentions the Christian music audience not widely embracing his Freddie sound. Thank you to Michael W Smith and Amy Grant - they love it, and they’re the Christian music industry legends. And to the people saying that he’s a Freddie wannabe?!? The evidence flies in the face of those saying, “He’s just an imitator”. If Marc could have stopped sounding like Freddie, he surely would have.
I can tell them the Downhere songs where the ressemblance is evident. For example "Forgive your self" and "Thunderbolt and Lightening".
8:58 - That was actually the show "Live From The Universe" and Marc did NOT make Céline Dion cry. She had been crying because of a couple previous songs which meant a LOT to her late husband who had just passed away a couple months prior.
And she cried some more when she heard Martel! Get over it!
Pretty sure her emotional "Oh My God" gasp was because of Marc, not the lovely lady before him who sang _Avec le Temps_
Yes, no denying she was greatly effected by Marc! She watches his UA-cam channel.
Yes, the "Oh my God" gasp was for Marc, but she did NOT cry more. She was still dabbing at her eyes from before Marc came out. I've watched the video MANY times, including the video of entire segment, from before Marc came out and she was legit crying her eyes out.
