Marc, it does matter when someone sounds like someone else's voice, when it brings out so many powerful emotions. We were so many of us grieving the loss of Freddie and there you came. You took up the challenge with so much talent and humility. You deserve to receive all that enormous amount of love to thank you for what you're doing. It's not easy but hell, please never stop giving us our smile back. You are such a gifted man, and the comments are right, you have a beautiful soul. A voice is, like can be the eyes, the mirror of the soul, by its color and vibration. Freddie could not have chosen someone better to sing his songs. This is a loooong comment but yes, I am so grateful you decided to take the leap to sing Queen's songs for us all. I wish all the world could know you. You are a blessing for who you are, so down to earth, so natural and simple. I think you are yourself when you sing Freddie, plus his soul surely is not far when you do so.

@@EliasSchnetzer No, it would not. Freddie has been gone for over 20 years. There's no one on Earth that knows who Freddie is that doesn't know he passed a long time ago. It would do the band good. Plus I really don't think Marc has the stage presence and ability to play an audience like Freddie did. It would not be like that, they would only sound like Queen again.

@@EliasSchnetzer You're right that people need to recognize and accept change and permanent loss. But we need to stop applying this principle to things that don't fit under it. We have no right to decide for others what they can or cannot do. We can suggest, but that is as far as it goes.
Age isn't the defining factor that means that things are gone forever. If they have the desire, the time, and the ability to play on tour or in a recording studio, then they have no good reason not to do so. Everyone reminisces from the time they realize they remember things. I even get reminiscences from my granddaughter. There's _nothing_ wrong with that.

As a late 30-something year old i grew up listening to Queen (my dad used to play them), and they have so many great songs. I only just realized your voice was used on the movie, i thought it was remastered archive audio from Freddy after i heard Rami Malek didn't sing the songs himself. Hats off to you, that voice is spot-on.

I went to your show in Auckland last Friday (30 Aug 2019). You are right, nothing beats a live show. You sounded amazing, amazing! The band is great although a bit too loud to me. I enjoyed the most when you sang with only your own piano playing. That Ave Maria!
