At 2:46 you can very briefly see light peeking under a backstage door as the camera turns back towards the right. Along the trough, there is a walkway stretching from the door alongside the tiny lift up ahead, where the lift operator sat in the darkness where no one could see them. I am happy to report that, even after all this time, the door, the lift operator’s cranny, and the Scooby-Doo themed wall all remain untouched inside the backstage areas of Justice League, hidden away to all but Maintenance and Ride Ops. The water troughs have obviously been filled with concrete, and all the set pieces removed, but what remains serves as a reminder of what once was.
@@bloawblahnloaoktfinblah4381 the only ride with boats like this is the revamped speelunker cave at six flags over texas, which I have honestly grown on it, the story is a little bland but hey at least SFOT gave some respect to their first ever dark ride
This was my absolute favorite ride! I am 28 now and so sad to hear its no longer there. I was hoping this year fright fest I'd have the honer to ride this with my boyfriend considering he's never been to 6 flags. R.i.p scooby doo ride us lucky ones will always remember the the smell and sounds of this beautiful peice of six flags history!
love hearing the blaster sounds again! Don't know if I can ever forgive Six Flags for getting rid of this ride. the justice league one just cannot compare... now you just shoot at screens. I remember standing in line for HOURS for this thing. That was back when the park was packed to the brim every single day in the summer, no matter how hot and humid it got in St. Louis... great memories. One cool surviving remnant of this fantastic ride is the Mystery Machine at 4:23. They incorporated it into the Justice League ride and gave it a coat of black paint, I guess it's Lex Luthor's now. Still pulls out and honks at you. That made me happy to see.
See, I was all hyped to go to this tomorrow for my birthday and here I find out it’s not there anymore. 😢 I don’t care how old I am, I will ALWAYS love Scooby Doo!
Except this pre-dates Silver Dollar City's, as this was originally Injun Joe's Cave from 1971, that was renovated a few times before becoming Scooby Doo.
One of my core memories is definitely my dad turning the gun toward his face the first time we rode this and shooting himself directly in the eye. He had like… dots in his vision for 3 days afterward dsdfksjf
Pardon me as I pick my jaw up off the floor. I have been on Sally Dark Rides, but this is the BEST dark ride I have ever seen from any manufacturer. The length, theming, animatronics, scenes, lighting, colors... Everything was AMAZING in this video!!! I don't understand why they would remove something that is SO AMAZING!!! It seems like all Justice League dark rides in every Six Flags park were not as good as this ride and now that they are not maintaining them as well as they used to, they are significantly worse than this ride. I would much rather have this ride back. 1 billion percent!
my grandma used to work at this park as a costume maker, and every year my family would get free season passes. I rode this ride as often as I could, even if I didn't shoot anything it was still one of my favorites as a kid
Here from 2024, Randomly thought about this ride and honestly watching this video brought back so much nostalgia being at sixflags. As a kid Six Flags in general was a SO lit! Characters! These classsic old rides uhhh i miss it…the atmosphere just felt nice lol. But now it’s kinda lame at this Sixflags not too much changed besides them removing rides and replacing them with boring one time ride rides. And i’ve just now noticed that I don’t think i’ve seen any characters walking around recently🤷🏾. It doesn’t seem THAT interactive anymore..if you remember the 6tf man eating chicken you get it😂!!!
I remember Castaway Kids more than any other attraction when I was little and went there. It was mostly due to how it scared the hell out of me at the end with this huge bulldozer or something that comes careening towards the boats.
I hate that they took this ride away, now you have to wait like 2 hours to ride tHe jUsTiCe LeAgUe I personally do not like it it’s impractical and not everyone can enjoy it since it’s in 3D, the scooby doo one on the other hand was the best because it was in the water and you could take your time, and you didn’t really have to wait that long to ride it, and when you rode it was worth it. Rather then a two minute shootout with the joker that you can’t even hit.
Scooby-Doo Ghostblasters: Mystery of the Scary Swamp will be turning into Justice League: Battle for Metropolis! It won't be a water ride anymore, either! Better hurry guys, it's closing on September 14th, 2014 for good!
i rode this yesterday. i loved it but my gun didn't work so i just sat back and enjoyed the slow ride and the scenery while my friends were to busy trying to outscore each other. i kinda wish it was the still Injun Joe's Cave from when the park opened in 1971.
This ride was actually pretty freaky just because of how well designed it was like it really made you feel like you were in the middle of something and there's nothing you could do about it but hope that something doesn't pop out of the corner and jump in your face, the bright flashing lights and just the sound design was really good in this too bad it's no longer there.
I hate that they replaced this with Justice League: Battle For Metropolis. This ride was original, there are a handful of rides that are just like the Battle For Metropolis. Battle For Metropolis is fun, but is is so disorienting and nauseating.
This ride was so amazing. I miss it soo much. I rode the "new" justice league ride that replaced it and It wasn't as good. I had no idea what to shoot!! I hate how they are taking rides and adding virtual stuff to it. I'ts lame. I was singing the scooby doo theme the whole time I was in line at the Hall of fame ride or whatever. I literally cry when I watch this because I didn't know my "last" scooby doo ride would be my last. RIP in scooby doo snacks scooby doo ride.
I miss it too. I only rode it about twice, but I loved it. One of the memories I have was when we were in line for it. My mom threw up in the line, because she was dehydrated (we got lemonade in the six flags bottle). This is lame compared to the scooby doo.
I remember when Six Flags (Fiesta Texas) had a “Ghostblasters” like this, I was so sad when it closed, that was the last thing I would ride before I left.
I used to ride this with my dad all the time when I was 11 & I would be scared of the animatronics that pop out & one time my aunt took me with her cousin & she said "Don't be scared, Bethany, just shoot!" & it was one of my favorite rides when I was little.
Me and my nephew road this ride together. I sat in the front seat and sat in the back. During the ride I turned to look back at him and he was ducked down in the seat holding both guns. It was hilarious cause I was low key scared too. Lol
When they drained it, and uploaded pictures of it to their Facebook page during renovation, the pic looked like it was only a few inches deep of water. Probably just enough to make the boats float, and nothing more.
One of my fav rides! Not sure why you guys are so scared! It didn't scare me at all! But I'm still trying to figure out how my friend scored like 15,000 points.
Me and my siblings were on this ride about 2 years ago. We had to wait like an hour to get on it but it was very fun though my younger brother and sister ducked down and didn't shoot anything cause they were to scared.
i went there the on jan 30th in saint louis and that bing bing bing gets annoying plus it's loud >.> i didnt like that they didnt make the mystery machine like tilt on its front wheels anymore that was kinda fun
Yea you wait in line for like a hour to ride this, but i have to ride it every time cause its air conditioned ^_^ the only thing i shoot are the flowers. :)
God I HATE that I ride. I went there with my friend and her parents made us go on that ride. Since we were both scared and we were the only ones there I started screaming the lyrics to "gangnam style" at the top of my lungs.
It is, they have little blasters in the cart that you shoot at the monsters with, each hit gets you more points, and you can see your points at the end of the ride.
+Kaitlyn Rowe Like I said, this ride was essentially much like the "Flooded Mine" ride in Silver Dollar City (so nothing for ME to see here LOL!). In that ride, also, you shoot at targets with laser zapper guns (which sound sort of like real guns when you fire them) to score points. In case you're wondering, the "Flooded Mine" ride's theme is: it's a flood-prone silver mine (which is officially called the "Lucky Silver Mine" but somebody, probably a convict laborer, added "un" to "Lucky") that uses ore boats (which, incidentally, the riders ride in) instead of ore cars; and it employs convict labor. And yes, shooting the targets at that ride makes stuff happen.
Six Flags terminated their licensing for Scooby Doo. At least for this ride. They would eventually do the same thing for the one at Six Flags Fiesta Texas as well. But I think Six Flags Great America still has the Camp Cartoon area but who knows how much longer that will be.

Did you know that this ride used to be themed many different themes back then? Such as a time tunnel, castaway kids, and some some kind of fairy ride?

When I was a kid, this ride scared me so bad I cried. And I’m sad that this ride closed.
Abigail and Olivia Vlogs same my parents said it not scary ! But i cried so much but now i really miss it
I feel sorry for my mom, i was afraid of this ride
Oh. This ride was a nightmare for me too.

I was legit wondering if the van from Scooby Doo was the one from Justice League.
LOVED THiS RIDE!!!!!.RIP SCOOBY DOO 😣
Thank you for recording this I appreciate it! I will miss this ride
this ride scared the shit out of me when is was little
it was the mummy for me. i had nightmares about it
Same
The line for this has always been ABSURDLY LONG, at least on the days that I went. But I did go on it a few years back, and it was pretty fun.
so sad...feels like a piece of my soul died XD
R3Dtxt you can have mine I got it of eBay for $5.99

I will never forgive Six Flags for replacing this wonderful ride for the atrocity that is Justice League. What a shame
I miss scooby-doo so much this ride was my childhood, my home, my everything😔😥
It's funny how when I was younger I cried when going in this ride XD lmao rip scoop you doo
Why on earth would you cry over some stupid family friendly ride? You should’ve been happy for it!
This was my absolute favorite ride, RIP 💕💕💕
Basically, this was a "Scooby-Doo" - themed equivalent of the "Flooded Mine Great Shootout" at Silver Dollar City...
Except this pre-dates Silver Dollar City's, as this was originally Injun Joe's Cave from 1971, that was renovated a few times before becoming Scooby Doo.
Still better than justice league

If I ran the Six Flags parks for St Louis, i:d bring the boat ride system back and do a new theme

i just like it cause its cold
Did that have a drop in? It sounds like water splashing after the camera is hidden.
@dragonbreathdancer1 yep. called Injun Joe's Cave
Fun ride but soooooooo not worth the 3 hour wait in line when it was still around x.x
My favorite ride as a kid 😢
the waiting is FOREVER though..
my schools going on Friday cant wait its suppose to be hot but the water park is suppose to be the only thing closed
Me and my siblings were on this ride about 2 years ago. We had to wait like an hour to get on it but it was very fun though my younger brother and sister ducked down and didn't shoot anything cause they were to scared.

Yes it does i just saw it with lights on it has multiple drops.
Is that a drop around 3:00

whats next ghost blasters 3 haunted swamp adventure lol maybe boo blasters on the marsh at boo hill
Oh so you guys are even now? Well this year at KD I wonder who will win........
get to ride tht next week!!!
What took it place?
Anyone else remember when it was the castaway kids ride?
does it have a drop.
this ride was so much better than the DC comics one but i really do enjoy the chillness/music that the waiting line of the ride brings
I remember this ride!
this ride was great. fuck six flags for taking it down, even though they probably had a legal reason to do it.
@dragonbreathdancer1 Tom Sawyer and Huckleberry Finn*
Then why did you remove the Ride Six Flaggs 😤
God I HATE that I ride. I went there with my friend and her parents made us go on that ride. Since we were both scared and we were the only ones there I started screaming the lyrics to "gangnam style" at the top of my lungs.
just wondering why do you hate this ride?
It's not the things that I can see, it's mostly the sound effects that scare me. And the mummy that pops out at you at the end of the ride.
last time i went on it the mummy didn't pop out
They probably got rid of it. Lol, this year to get me to ride it my friend's buying me a large lemonade
i think they did. Now its not worth riding
Anyone remember when it was Injun Joe’s Cave?
i was on it yesterday
Me & my Ex GF went on this ride, we loved it!
I really want to go back again! Love this ride! :)
This ride is on water right?
I'm confused, EastCoasterGeneral, since when does Six Flags feature rides from the Scooby Doo Franchise?
Whats That Noise
@WishGirl198 forever it feels like maybe 30 mins but idk
I reflect on this ride somtimes whish i could have rofe it more
Anyone remember what this ride was before in the 90s!???
I remember Castaway Kids.
Injun Joe's Cave before Castaway Kids, Castaway was a 80's/90's, but Joe's was from the 70's.
It was the Time Tunnel before Castaway Kids. injun joe's cave before that
I thought it was a dungeon/haunted castle ???
Before scooby doo
how long is the wait for this ride?
Ironic that i just subscribed to you and you post videos from a park I live close to
Is that red light gun with the pinging sound part of the ride, or was it just someone thinking it made an effect on the ride?
It is, they have little blasters in the cart that you shoot at the monsters with, each hit gets you more points, and you can see your points at the end of the ride.

the shooting noise is giving me ptsd
I miss this ride. But the new justice League is awesome, at least in my opinion
Ooo.. who won this? That would be me. Thank you LFTL.
No.... :( how could they replace scooby doo for stupid DC Comics
The Justice league ride is much better. That is my opion.
Shy Kaneki I don't know but the new ride is awesome too it's like your actually there
Shy Kaneki dc comics happen to be more popular than scooby doo.scooby do is lame and stupid😡
Money. It all comes down to how much money DC was willing to pay them for the ride.
Six Flags terminated their licensing for Scooby Doo. At least for this ride. They would eventually do the same thing for the one at Six Flags Fiesta Texas as well. But I think Six Flags Great America still has the Camp Cartoon area but who knows how much longer that will be.
i remember it being much darker...
This was way better when it was Castaway Kids or even Legends of the Dark Castle....
Ughhhhhhh still there once I freaked out on a kitty ride =o
I know the mummy is scary af
