Not sure if my earlier comment posted. so here goes. I am a blues fanatic and you have to have that fire shut up in your bones to really get it. At this young age she really has it. The same fire Ella Fitzgerald and the mighty Sister Rosetta Tharpe.
Ears are not all that is needed for we feel this precious gift called Angelina through our entire being capturing our hearts along the way knowing it is in good hands.
Great video ! I am a huge blues person and there is something tangible you have in your soul for jazz -blues singing. This girl has it burning inside of her just like Ella Fitzgerald or. the mighty Sister Rosetta Tharpe.
thanks so much, Troy! yes!!! she really does. It's amazing. It's also fun to watch her journey as she grows. It just keeps getting better and better. For example, here I could hear the soul and unique elements even more clearly than in the first performance of hers that I watched. Tho it was amazing, the words and syllables and sound is even more crisp (perhaps also a video/sound quality matter), and it's exciting to see that process.
I strongly suggest you investigate her so-called very first time singing in a studio. She was singing “I who have nothing” at six years old truly truly amazing.
8 years old and already givin Nancy a run for the money. Most commenters stated they now prefer her version 😎 My favorite of her latest work is her Elvis Homage "Suspicious minds": ua-cam.com/video/RTbKhkceR00/v-deo.html Powerful, emotional, just beautiful.
Awesome reaction and her recent, "Suspicious Minds", has to be like another "Bohemian Rhapsody" event, for she has been giving the rights to her version, As also, "I Have Nothing". That right there tells you the Industry knows what is about to hit them. What other performer is getting their rights of their version? God Bless!
Hi, I absolutely love listening to Angelina. Two of my favorites are: How great thou art, and when Christmas comes around Mary's boy child. You will be impressed with her lower register in How great thou art. Guaranteed
I have 200 of he’s music in my files! Generation singer She’s star ⭐️ and shine bright like a really long time Angelina Jordan Astar last night it a star
Ce qui me sidère dans cette interprétation d'Angélina, c'est la nuance qu'elle est capable d'apporter dans cette succession de "bang-bang", c'est remarquable !! What amazes me in this interpretation of Angélina, is the nuance that she is able to bring in this succession of "bang-bang", it's remarkable!!
Angelina Jordan ASTAR (the name says it all), this sweet little norwegian genius (now 16 y old) is now imo the best singer on this planet! I am 69 y old and have never heard a singer like her in my whole life. She is on another level.
Here is the link I have: ua-cam.com/video/Mpw5Q76hWWE/v-deo.html Listening to Adele’s original, after my hearing Angelina sing many songs but not ‘Easy On Me’, brought tears to my eyes, for not hearing Angelina’s vocals!
Angelina's "child singing" days, from 7-10 are astounding, but something happened at 10 where her voice matured more & according to some vocal coach her vocals were at Masterclass level. The process continued where every year she got better until 14 when she signed with Republic Records. The last 2 years, working with people at RR like Rob Christie, the improvement & refinement of her techniques has reached such a level that she can be favorably with the greatest vocal artists today or in the past. Now that she doesn't look like a kid anymore, your brain doesn't have to keep screaming "how can that voice be coming out of that little kid." Now you can just sit back & enjoy the music from this beautiful young woman.
May I recommend one of her finest, of all time imo, performances again aged 8 where she performs “What A Difference A Day Makes (Dinah Washington) live in front of I’d say thousands of adoring fans? I promise you’ll be stunned! Here’s the link..loved all your reactions to AJ so far )) ua-cam.com/video/ZSfgCIGd7k4/v-deo.html
I am sure there was 1 more song she sang at Norways got talant. She didn't even have backing band. She sang it perfectly with just her voice as the instrument as well. That was another perfect break down of bang bang too thanks Rosalie. Angelina's birthday was in the middle of Norways got talant. She was 7years and had her 8th birthday in Norways got talant.
Thanks for another great reaction to & appreciation of another masterful performance by Angelina - at age 8. A couple of more amazing performances by Angelina while she was still 8: What A Difference a Day Makes performed outdoors at a Norwegian summer music festival & her US debut on The View performing Fly Me To The Moon (this performance also includes a short interview in which Angelina answers the question as to how old she was when she started singing). Thank you. And may GOD continue to watch over & bless Angelina Jordan.
It would be amazing for you to watch her acappella "I'm a Fool to Want You" on NGT and then her studio version when she was about 11. You will LOVE it, I promise!
Let’s dissect this amazing performance. 8yo Angelina nonchalantly stroll onto the stage while the intro is playing, mounts the platform which is almost too high for her, and commands the microphone with perfect timing. A 30yo professional could not have done it better. She start to sing and immediately you feel the meaning and emotion of the words. Much more so than in Nancy Sinatra’s version. She play with the timing like a true jazz maestro… holds you spellbound on every word. Her slides are impeccable. The way she almost whispers ‘My baby shot me down’ is amazing. You can feel the intense emotion. I think this is the most brilliant interpretation of a song by an 8yo… EVER!
Just love her version of "Stay" (Rhianna) from a few years back. One of my favourites of hers. I'd Rather Go Blind (Etta James) is another fave. Both of these are great transitions between child singer Angelina and the outstanding mature singer she has grown into.
Throughout her NGT run, Angelina never went big, which is standard procedure on this kind of show, and it led many to (falsely) believe she couldn't Instead, she just knocked each song out of the par singing softly but with incredible skill. She's ALWAYS unique. 😎
You really need to check out an amazing performance from Angelina Jordan covering a song ,( Feeling Good) live on the Stream when she was 10 years old it Will blow your mind!!!!!!
Rosalie, before you go forward, please view Angelina singing "Summer Time" same Talent show. Then check out her first time in a Recording Studio, 6 yrs old, singing "I Who Have Nothing." Always enjoy your opinion about Angelina's music. Can wait for your following reaction.
Wonderful reaction! Love your enthusiasm for Angelina! Whatever time frame of her you decide to react to next is ok by me, just don't forget to circle back around to the ones you skip over. You really don't want to miss a single one believe me! This girl is truly something very special. See you soon.
It's just hard to believe at that age she was that talented and every year sense then her voice has gotten stronger now at 16 she is a power house , enjoyed your reaction 😀
Excellent reaction, Rosalie! I've been enjoying all of your Angelina reactions so far, and literally can't wait to follow you on the journey ahead. You're gonna love it, and so will I 🙂 Much love from Norway♥♥♥♥♥
The first time I heard Anglina I was shocked to hear she won Norway's Got Talent at such a young age. There might have been other young contestants who won at that age but I've never heard of any! This was my favorite performance of her's on NGT.
Super job, Rosalie. Just another stunning performance by Angelina. There's no vocal pyrotechnics in this performance, no soaring diva notes. no great range covered, no melismatic runs covering the range of human hearing. Yet, every moment of this performance was captivating. It held the listener prisoner start to finish. It was a flawless execution of a brilliant interpretation. How many singers can do that? ... On the discography - Basically, it's the Nancy Sinatra version that everyone recalls. That includes that genius tremolo guitar accompaniment by George Strange that was excellently reproduced here. I believe it's this version that is on the soundtrack of the opening scene at the wedding chapel in Quentin Terrantino's first Kill Bill movie. But to give credit where credit is due, the original version was sung by Cher and came out maybe a half year before Nancy's cover. The song was written by Cher's then husband, Sonny Bono.
Rosalie, "Summertime", Angelina's finale from NGT, is the next song for you to hear. She was inspired by the famous Louis Armstrong/Ella Fitzgerald duet of the song from 1959. Unforgettable! ua-cam.com/video/bnpFsCNKzFg/v-deo.html
Before going to the most current Angelina be sure to hear her fantastic milestone rendition of "I Put A Spell On You" at nine years old that will blow your mind, and then her rendition of Michael Jackson's "Billie Jean" at the age of twelve or fourteen will set you up for the growth and how more experience has vastly and swiftly improved her voice, you can hear it in her latest performances and you can start to see hear her original Style/technique developing.
do you guys check or even watch the video before commenting? BC she saw Spell On you and has a video already. only takes a sec to look or watch the video you comment onbefore commenting because sheeven mentions watching it before.
Thank you for your sincere and heartfelt reaction, and also for providing Angelina's official Channel link in your description. It is much appreciated. If you would like to help young artists like Angelina advance their careers, you may directly support them for FREE while simultaneously promoting your own channel. Prominently provide the original video links in your description as well. Encourage viewers to watch both of your original videos till the end, and to like, share, comment, and subscribe to both of your Official Channels. This will boost both reactor and artist UA-cam analytics. Like hundreds of reaction channels have experienced, you may add these suggestions to your regular routine to increase your subscription rate due to greater fan loyalty. Most importantly, you may use your platform to help Angelina achieve her goal of singing to bring peace and love to the world. We need her healing voice in these times, and she deserves all the support and recognition we can provide. Thank you on behalf of all aspiring artists like Angelina. Peace and love.
I hope Rosalie will implement your suggestions Ron. Back in the day, we supported our favorite artists by purchasing their records. Not so easy nowadays. UA-cam is just one platform record companies pay attention to and learn how their artists are faring. Wonderful that hundreds of reaction channels now educate viewers how to support both their own channel as well as that of the artist.
I love all of these younger ones alot and your journey into her music is really cool I am glad you do things like this really diving in to the artist all the way form the begining till now thanks for the ride again today your awesome never stop being you
I'm so glad you wanted to check out these early performances before moving forward again. She was incredible in all of them, really. But the one that was astonishing to me, after the first one Gloomy Sunday, was when she had to stand there with the other contestants just behind her and sing acapella "I'm a Fool For Wanting You" ua-cam.com/video/6LIcQL5gLoY/v-deo.html , and she did it pitch perfect unbelievably. And the last one "Summertime" was so good too. That event was her start of becoming an international treasure.
Angelina has plenty of great performances, but don't overlook the "highways and byways" of Angelina - those throwaway sessions with guitarist Egil Klausen or just herself at home with a backing track. Everything she touches is a gem.
Rosalie, it is a pleasure to watch you discover the (imo) greatest female musical artists of our time, Angelina and Aurora, and interpret their work. As much as they are different, they are both geniuses and special human beings. Angelina was born with Jazz in her blood, and started to sing as a toddler at the age of one and a half (there is a video of this out there). As with Aurora you can watch anything from her and won´t be disappointed. There is an interview from norwegian TV (NRK) out there where she explains why she is barefoot in her own words and also reads from her diary, on which the book is based she wrote and published as the youngest Norwegian author - illustrated with paintings from her grandma, a renowned artist by herself in Norway. She and her granny are very close, and Angelina´s artistry is deeply influenced by her. You will get enough suggestions from other Angels here so I will refrain from doing so here. There is so much material out there that you can continuously react to her weekly for years now.
Loved this Rosalie! Already at this age, her talent is shining star bright, there's no denying it. In her final NGT performance "Summertime", her growth is evident. I recommend that one next.
I know its hard to believe that voice comes outta that little body. Your first video the ip at the beginning is from I put a spell on you. Need to chk this out. It was Gloomy Sunday!!! I love the fact she has brought back these old classics as only she can.
You need to check out BETH HART singing " I'd rather go blind" by Etta James. The best version is in Amsterdam with Joe Bassimo, guitar player. Check it out. PS I love Angelia jordan. I'm a 70 yr old grandmother from calif. I adore watching her voice mature. Keep up the work your doing to keep us entertained. THANKS 😊
Your intro was so nice to listen to a first time listener was probably already blown away and she didn't even sing a note yet! There are things one can practice but one of those which cannot be is the genuine soulfulness in one's voice. It cannot be manufactured or taught. You either have it or you don't. Angelina's soulfulness is deep within her and when she sings it transitions into love and she touches people's hearts. When you think about it, the age factor, although noteworthy and something to talk about, takes a backseat to her ability to connect to her audience emotionally. One of her most important desires in life is to sing and make people happy, give them hope, shower them with love and one other factor which is like a bonus. She is inspiring people to be the best they can be as human beings, to be kinder, more caring and loving. Angelina is much, much more than a wonderful singer. There is an aura around her and we can feel her presence.
Great reaction, Rosalie! Angelina slayed this song. It's the first glimpse the public had of a polished, flawless performance from her on Norways Got Talent. The guitar was perfect; her low notes were right on pitch and so resonant; and she really delivered the emotion to her audience. Amazing! If you're going to listen to some recent stuff, you can't go wrong with her haunting and melancholy update of Elvis's Suspicious Minds. Forget everything you thought you knew about that song, because Angelina gives it a brand-new scope. Here's the link: ua-cam.com/video/RTbKhkceR00/v-deo.html
Just to let you know .. "Bang, Bang" was written by Sonny Bono and Cher sang it in her album 'The Sonny Side of Cher' - although I don't know if it ever made the charts until Nancy Sinatra did it. Go figure .. 😊 Thanks for your reaction .. I enjoyed it.
Rosalie, this was actually originally a Cher song, which Nancy Sinatra later covered. So, Angelina's is really a cover of a cover, but as usual, she makes it her own.
Loving your reactions! Great fun to watch and can't wait to follow your journey with you. Loved this song when Nancy sang it back in the day. Angelina brought it down to a much more personal level and turned it into a jazzy Ballad. Her growth in those 4 performances on NGT over several months while her teeth grew in was absolutely remarkable. 'Bang, Bang' was her 3rd performance after 'Gloomy Sunday' her first appearance on the stage and 'I'm a Fool to Want You' acapella. Her final performance of 'Summertime' by George Gershwin was I believe her first Masterpiece. You should watch them all but to truly see the Power and Pure Velvet perfection that her voice is now I would Highly recommend you do 'Suspicious Minds' by Elvis Presley Studio Version dropped in July. The Power she opens with and that soft Velvet delivery in the midst of that Power just blew me away and I thought I was prepared. ‘Suspicious Mind’ Elvis Presley ua-cam.com/video/RTbKhkceR00/v-deo.html July 20, 2022. Angelina's knowledge and understanding of these classics. Her musical historical knowledge and again understanding is immeasurable. Angelina has studied and listened to these classics on repeat since she was at least 3 yrs old. Her knowledge and comprehension of this music history is far more exhaustive than any average person alive today. She is the truest student of this history as her grasp of and ability to convey this very essence of these classics to the audience is unmatched. ♥👣👸🏻🎷
Thanks, Rosalie -- another great reaction. In terms of AJ's own work, I encourage you to check out "Million Miles," which AJ wrote for her grandfather. I actually prefer her live performances in Norway this year to the studio version, but all are outstanding. For recent covers, both her studio versions of "Suspicious Minds" and "I Have Nothing" are stellar, and very different from each other. "Suspicious" features AJ in black leather playing an electric guitar, so it's definitely worth a look.
Link I have for ‘Million Miles’ (3 official versions were released: lyrics, music video, studio setting): ua-cam.com/video/3KxvwuZ7oEM/v-deo.html Link to last live concert rendition: ua-cam.com/video/clH0PC4PEPQ/v-deo.html
If you would like to hear Angelina’s renditions of David Foster’s iconic ‘I Have Nothing’ sung by Whitney Houston, then consider reacting to these videos (dare I suggest all in one reaction video)… 1st recording, age 13: ua-cam.com/video/eTcvvO6B3Io/v-deo.html June 2022 Allsang festival Live concert: ua-cam.com/video/AqtIVYFjapQ/v-deo.html (second of two takes in 11 minutes with < 2 minute break between) July 2022 Official studio recording video: ua-cam.com/video/iX0g99jN26U/v-deo.html This month live in a recording studio: ua-cam.com/video/vaElvR9s5Ao/v-deo.html (Sitting down, cross legged, SERIOUSLY???)
May I suggest going forward to 10yo. That was an outstanding year for Angelina.

Awesome reaction....it's ok I think, to bounce around on Angelina's time travel...its fun and amazing....
Before I even watch…Enjoyed your previous reactions so much. Thanks for another.
Glad you like them! :) thank you
Ears are not all that is needed for we feel this precious gift called Angelina through our entire being capturing our hearts along the way knowing it is in good hands.
Too funny, the girl is just the best :)
Now please react to her winning performance at age 8, singing "Summertime"!
Here is the link I have: ua-cam.com/video/443pBSpx5B4/v-deo.html (a longer video with backstory also exists)
Many, many songs to go through .. me .. her cover of Stay was exceptional, her cover of Back to Black (she wrote her own lyrics) ...
i kinda like and agree with your "Wahnsinn" comment ...🙂
:)
I have it.
Great video ! I am a huge blues person and there is something tangible you have in your soul for jazz -blues singing. This girl has it burning inside of her just like Ella Fitzgerald or. the mighty Sister Rosetta Tharpe.

This is when I fell in love with this angel.
A lot of people point to her final performance of Summertime, and rightly so, but this is my favorite!
I strongly suggest you investigate her so-called very first time singing in a studio. She was singing “I who have nothing” at six years old truly truly amazing.
8 years old and already givin Nancy a run for the money. Most commenters stated they now prefer her version 😎

I love to watch your Angelina Jordan journey so much!
My favorite when she was 10, "I'm still holding out for you" a demo she did before the song was even recorded. Crazy good, enjoy
Stunning!
Hi, I absolutely love listening to Angelina. Two of my favorites are: How great thou art, and when Christmas comes around Mary's boy child. You will be impressed with her lower register in How great thou art. Guaranteed

Totally ridiculous how much more emotional and soulful she makes them,
Absolutely amazing performance, original vocalist was Cher and Bang Bang was written by Chers husband at the time Sonny Bono, great reaction thanks 🙏

@@andyschnell58 Thanks Andy great comment!
I love all of these younger ones alot and your journey into her music is really cool I am glad you do things like this really diving in to the artist all the way form the begining till now thanks for the ride again today your awesome never stop being you
Thanks for listening :) You ready for more of her recent work? I can't wait!!
Seems to me Rosalie isn't gonna let anything get by...I've literally become a sponge of
A J's body of work ...
Angelina was born to sing and has proven it since she started. Thumbs up Rosalie, nice job and why I subscribed.
She is a very old soul.
ANGELINA WON NORWAYS GOT TALENT AT AGE 7🤯🤯
Loved this Rosalie! Already at this age, her talent is shining star bright, there's no denying it. In her final NGT performance "Summertime", her growth is evident. I recommend that one next.
I know its hard to believe that voice comes outta that little body.
Your first video the ip at the beginning is from I put a spell on you. Need to chk this out.
It was Gloomy Sunday!!!
I love the fact she has brought back these old classics as only she can.
:)
Thanks for your reaction .. I enjoyed it.
Rosalie, this was actually originally a Cher song, which Nancy Sinatra later covered. So, Angelina's is really a cover of a cover, but as usual, she makes it her own.
oh silly me! I should have researched that better. thank you!! :) Agreed. She made it her own and did it so well
If you want to know more about Angelina, watch Angelina Jordan Born To Sing and Angelina Jordan 10 Years In The Making!
Hey beautiful please react to voice play accapella start with oogie boogie song you will freak I promise
Please, please listen to How Great Thou Art. Amazing low notes which apparently was delivered in the same key as Elvis. Spectacular 😊😊😊
