Man City 3-0 Bayern Munich | How Guardiola HUMILIATED Tuchel!
Вставка
- Опубліковано 27 вер 2024
- Hello and welcome back to Total Football where today we are reviewing Man City's 3-0 demolition of Bayern Munich at the Etihad which saw Haaland, Bernardo Silva and Rodri put Pep Guardiola's side in an extremely comfortable position in their Champions League quarterfinal.
With Upamecano, Pavard and Davies dropping below par performances, Man City outworking Bayern all over the pitch and Gnabry virtually anonymous up front this was as comprehensive result as they come!
Does this make Man City favourites for their first Champions League title? Can Bayern Munich recover from this and win the Bundesliga?

Does this result make City Champions League favourites?!
(Dougie)
Pep will throw the kitchen sink to win the UCL with Man City. He obviously feels incomplete without it. It’s theirs to lose.
Not while Real Madrid are still in the competition
city has always been champion League favorite bro
This felt like the semis against PSG a few seasons ago, just a mature, elite performance, Dias, Ake, Akanji, Stones, Rodri, Bernardo all had 10/10 games
no Laporte and look what happens
Haaland was good too and Ederson made good saves overall this team was different gravy last night
@@highfiveentertainment298 I've always thought Lapòrte is a bit suspect in big matches. Glad I'm not the only one.
@@ima_omo Way to often pal, Lyon, spurs, Madrid. That guy is a walking error in ko games
@@highfiveentertainment298 he is thr worst part in all city's defense he always cause you penalties and problems and also he can't deal with any fast forward he is a total turtle
Its interesting because the exact thing Bayern wanted to avoid by hiring Tuchel is still what ended up happening to them (I.e getting hammered by Man City). Perhaps Bayern should have waited before sacking Nagelsmann because he was building up something there.
Brazzo masterclass
And everyone saw it coming
I personally love that the City fans are somewhat vindicated for keeping the faith with players like Grealish and Ake, who were written off after rough early seasons off the back of big transfers and are now 100% proving why they deserve to be in this side.
Anything can happen in knockout football but if City can keep their heads, they are the team to beat right now.
Ake never had a rough season. He was good but not outstanding like he is. Same applies to Gabriel Jesus. For some reason, they were unfairly criticised
@@sportsnumber1567 they arrive at City on big money deals so everyone expects immediate results, but it takes time to adjust to Pep's style of play.
This time last season, Grealish was being touted on this channel as one of the worst signings in the history of the Premier League, and now he's back to his best and firing on all cylinders for Man City.
That Rodri goal made me believe, moments like that win you the CL!
World Class goals, Pep is cooking
Due to a too short and quite average Bayern goal keeper. I still feel somehow, that City will get smashed at the Allianz.
@@mathemen3011 Smh
Just so shocking that for 0-3 loss, Sommer felt like their best player on the field.
No, Sommer is not a top goalkeeper. You can see this from the 0:1 and from all the uncertainty he introduces with Ball possession in his box. Bayern were not that bad, they simply missed to use their chances and suffered from the lack of a top goal keeper giving stability to the defense (watch some saves and the play of Manuel Neuer). Of course also Upa had a very bad day from minute 70 on.
Bayern took the wrong approach in this game, instead of playing more defensive they tried to outplay City
you are right but city is the one who made bayer to approach like that because when bayer get the ball city didn't press higher on the beach and just city allow bayer to have the ball and city was happy to defend on ther half
@@qadribashi3790 bayern*
They should’ve played Neuer
@@jcoop7 what?
@@jcoop7 I hope not he has a broke leg.
A coming of age match for City
I'm surprised no one is talking about how Alvarez changed the game
I'm surprised as well. Especially being De Bruyne's replacement.
Sommer put up a really good game too, so imagine if they didn't sign him
I swear if we bottle this, I'm never going to recover 🚶🏽
Never say things like this. You will recover.
Congratulations to City for a statement win.
Sorry, no.
As an Arsenal fan I’m quaking in my boots thinking about how City know they have more games/competitions to play in and know they can win the CL, they may even prioritise it oh no😂😂
That last 30 mins was an absolute cooking sesh
Actually, we are talking about not quite 20 minutes.
How gutsy was it for tuchel to play a 4231 against city but without a striker 😒😒😒
It was like watching Donny City in full throttle out there
Don’t count Tuchel and Bayern out!
Do count them out
😂
Owari da
they were so average today hard not to
As a Bayern fan I'm counting us out.
As an Arsenal fan I see city progressing as a good. To me it means less rest days for them and putting in shifts on a somewhat regular basis.
I think city prefers games ever 3 days. Keeps us sharp. Waiting 6 days before every match will just cause too much nerves to build up
@@FormerPessitheRobberfan I agree with that but I'd like to keep some hope
Every team becomes favourites until they meet real madrid🤣🤣
They’re English, they have to push that pro England media
...and Mr Referee, their 12th man on the pitch.
Julian Nagelsmann was doing well in spite of disputes, he literally built Bayern to almost invincible in UCL. But there was no patience…
Bayern desperately need Hernandez back to pair with De Ligt. and Cancelo should've started over Pavard. and Mane should've started as well. in a game like this, you need his pressing. Tuchel got everything wrong and Pep got everything right. Bernardo was MOTM for me. Sommer kept Bayern from losing by 6 or 7.
Sommer kept Bayern from keeping 0:0 and staying in the game. Not saving the 0:1 shot was simply weak.
@@mathemen3011 bro are you high no keeper is saving that
@@evanclp514 You should ask some experts about this. Nobody really has to discuss it. All top goalkeepers would have saved that one easily.
this was the most one sided champions league game from two titans i’ve seen possibly ever. only game that comes close is bayern 8-2 but even that game barca we’re on the front foot at points. bayern tonight literally couldn’t get anything going. boys against men.
Are you sure, you watched the match? Bayern dominated for the first 70 minutes and then Upa fell apart. Sommer was another weak link. Watch closely, what will happen at the Allianz.
What have you guys been smoking? Smahed? HumiliateD? Bayern were keeping City at bay the entire game, only Rodris wonderstrike separated them (but that is more due to luck from that distance). The only reason we had that scoreline is because Upamecano is one of the most overrated CB in the world, and one of the worst CB under pressure (he is barely good enough for a mid table team). IF it were not for Upamecano it would have most likely remained 1:0.
3-0 is 3-0 bro
Rodri actually often score bangers not actually a luck tbh
@@sleepysun3082 Obviously there is some skill involved in scoring long rangers, but there is a reason why they don't happen every game. Because there are so many variables that must fall into play to score them.
For example, in the game prior to City, we played Freiburg and de Ligt scored an insane long ranger, but once again, I considered that to be luck (we should've drawn that game tbh, we were awful)
@@darthjames6078 how 3-0 supposed to be draw 😂
@@sleepysun3082 I was refering to the game a were Bayern played SC Freiburg. Against City we deserved to lose 1:0, max 2:0.
There are some clowns who believe that arsenal can beat city at Etihad. 😂
They know nothing arsenal fans 🤣
These guys are talking about the last 20 minutes, right? Bayern dominated until minute 70. They are missing a nine and a top level goalkeeper. For some reason most people don't realize that not Upa but Sommer introduced all the fuzz in Bayerns defense and then Upa broke completely down. It's a pity that Bayern missed to score a least one goal. Anyway, it will be a tough ride for City at the Allianz and I cannot image any other team being more appropriate to break down completely at the Allianz after Bayern scored the first time.
What game did you watch if you think Bayern dominated the first 70 minutes?
This is not the team that won against psg they didn't have a number nine and it showed big , I mean they could ve done with chuppo hold up play, playing gnabry at nine is just rediclous honestly and benching Muller is jus madness
Someone please tell me when Bayern signed Maguire and he got a tan? Lol
Jokes aside, Upemacano had a terrible game! But I’m excited to see the outcome of the 2nd leg
Literally yelled out during the second goal that we got our own Maguire out there
@@motorxtp199 🤣🤣
Last year City beat Real Madrid at home, supposedly the tie was over. I don't see why Bayern can't overturn this tie. Maybe it's just Deja Vu. Each year every City team is the best team with same result. We have seen this sequel too many times.
yes but we are better than last year that the diffrence
It was 4:3 in ethihad not 3:0 and you are not real madrid you aren't that deadly in the attack.

Seriously disappointing that Bayern haven’t made a semi or final in 3 years? Why do you all never hammer English clubs for their failure to perform in Europe?!
They really sacked Nagelsmann for this
Very interesting

Agreed, such a strange performance!
They did under Julian

Soon Man City will longer be good and I will relish in the fans of Manchester City’s pain and agony. What New England Patriots fans are going through this very exact moment!
Had it not been for Sommer, would’ve been 6:0 at least. Played very well despite the scoreline
Lost 3:0 despite’s sommer having the game of his life. Poeple out here saying it was a good decision to sack Neiglesman😅😅
The game of his life??? No way dude. He was great with hands, but his kicking and vision’s been absolutely terrible

That was a defensive masterclass. At times it felt like there were 15 city players on the pitch. Bayern just couldnt find any space to pass and move.
This might actually finally be Manchester City's year
I’m not going to completely write Bayern off but the game at the Allianz will be very dangerous for them. They’re going to have to press forward to try and somehow generate 4 goals and if their defense is anything like it was in the 2nd half tonight they will probably at least concede 1 or 2. City are just too good going forward.
I can see Bayern pushing and getting a goal back, but then city countering and getting 2 and effectively sealing the deal
@@hello7032 Yeah spot on, Bayern have no choice but to throw men forward and that will inevitably make them vulnerable.
@@hman1801 generally works against most teams but city aren’t that. Annoying to say as a Bayern fan lol
Actually, as Real showed, 15 minutes are enough to score three goals against City in CL. Pep will do his best to bottle it again.
@@mathemen3011 Fair point. It also only took about 20 minutes for Bayern’s defense to completely melt down and allow City to score 3. If City scores one goal at the Allianz it’s over.
How did Müller not play ? Besides what he tactically brings, he has Fc Bayern in his blood and the impersonation of a German of Fc Bayern and leadership too. Unreal.
Lol all you guys in reviewing games quote the stats. No proper insight.
It wasn’t that great of a performance by city because before the Upamecano mistake for the 2:0 which shiftet the game completely it was pretty even. I would say that Bayern wouldn’t have gone out of the first leg with more than a 1goal deficiency if it wasn’t for that.
This is a terrible fucking take lmao
mbappe is so bad and overrated that upamecano looked like maldini or prime ramos against psg, here we see his real level
Like it isn’t 11 vs 11, you’re comparing two different play styles, tactics, Bayern’s form, don’t be so simple
@@NoseofaVizsla mbappe is the most overrated player in football history, 6 years of total failure in champions league and people talk about him as a generational player lol lucky to be in a super national team and getting two penaltys in world cup final.
They shouldn't have fired Nagalsmann.
You just know all of FD absolutely creamed their pants at this result
More like how Upamecano embarrassed Tuchel
It was not collapse. They were beaten at their best.
Up city
Sorry but this was an even game for about 65 minutes. Upamecano lost the game by himself. After conceding a goal like the second, Bayern naturally were going to be unsettled, and that's when City killed it off. Both teams were brilliant first half. Saying this was a tactical masterclass or complete destruction tells me you didn't pay attention to the match. It was a game of mistakes, and the one team you cannot do that against is City. Still deserved for them to get the win, but the scoreline is slightly misleading. All cause by Upa.
But they’ll still lose against Madrid 🤍🤍🤍
Stupid headline to say that Guardiola humiliated Tuchel. He didn't humiliate him, he just has a much better team.
OMFG!!!!!
@@jesterbeats2898 If Tuchel was managing City and Pep was still managing Bayern, the scoreline wouldn't have been any different. It's stupid to think otherwise.

@@jesterbeats2898 I am serious. You clearly know nothing about football if you actually think Bayern's squad is on the same level as City.
