Thanks for this clear video. Size 15/0 seed beads is too small for me to work with. If I transpose this to a format of 11/0 beads, can I then also make these with 7 colours? I imagine the central ring would then be 14beads and everything else works the same? Or would I also need to change the number of black beads separating the colours? Thanks for your expert advice🙏

These seed beads didn't come with brand name or colour code. They are kind of local products, don't come with descriptions.

Acabo de ver el vídeo y te lo puedo aclarar. El círculo interior= el doble del número de colores de los que piensas utilizar. Ya que en la primera ronda has de colocar dos negras y una de color saltando cada vez una mostacilla de ese primer circulo. Segunda ronda= dos negras y dos del color adicional. Tercera ronda: dos negras y tres del color adicional. Y así sucesivamente, dos negras y cada ronda una mostacilla más del otro color. Hasta llegar a las dimensiones deseadas del arete que haces. La ronda final son dos mostacillas negras como en cada ronda más un número adicional de mostacillas negras que sea 1 más del número de mostacillas de color de la ronds previa. Espero que te haya servido.

It maybe because of uneven size of Seed beads or very thin thread. To keep it sturdy and flat, you can apply clear nail polish on the backside.
My experience is that when using a new beading technique for the first time my brain has to get its head round the technique of course but then also my body has to learn to get the tension right. Once this becomes instinctive the work stops being uneven, twisted or whatever. You might just need a couple of tryouts before it looks right. If the thread is too thin it will be floppy and not hang rigid.
