Great exploration of these, quick but all the info you need! Also, I really do wish this had wavetables. For me, the user wavetables were a nice option, but nothing especially useful with my lack of knowledge of how to create a wavetable. But nice to have! Regardless, wavetables are a form of synthesis I've been enjoying recently so it was disappointing that they were left out...
Thanks for the info on each of the oscillator types and effects. I’m guessing that it would be possible to use the Microfreak to create one of the missing oscillator types and then patch that into the audio-in on the Minifreak? That seems like an option for anyone lucky enough to own both, and I’m curious how it might be set up with a midi connection, so that the Microfreak can be played in sync with the Minifreak. Can it be done I wonder?
It can be done . Just take the MiniFreak MIDI out into the MicroFreak MIDI in and the MicroFreak audio out into the MiniFreak audio in. It’s going to be a monster synth! I’ll have to test that.
hey, do u have any idea if on the plugin version of the minifreak; the minifreak vst, would be able to use the aftertouch effects on the microfreak? or use the mod matrix for example on the minifreak vst😊
The MicroFreak keyboard send polyphonic key pressure “polyphonic after touch” but the MiniFreak brain and keyboard recognize “Channel after touch”. These are different ,non compatible messages. I did test it and no it doesn’t MicroFreak polyphonic key pressure does not work with the MiniFreak.
Excellent explanation of a very deep functionality - clearly delivered too. Many thanks. I still sometimes just want a decent piano sound though.
This is the video I needed! Thank you!
I just got my MF and i have so much to learn.
this is badass thanks for this walkthrough

Hi Nu-trix, which software tool are you using to monitor the wave type?
It’s an iPad app called Scope
Will you be doing more videos on the MF? The matrix is something I need more lessons on.
Yes the MiniFreak is now a permanent piece of the studio. I’ll do many videos for it. I’ll do one on the matrix soon.
