It was the first song that they wrote as a band, but Steve Jones was the singer at the time and Wally Nightingale was the guitarist. Wally wrote the tune. Nice guitar lesson.
In the last verse he switches the lead to a different pattern, as you say very impressive for somebody that supposedly couldn’t play guitar, a myth of course but very entertaining in the whole “swindle” take on things.
I play the b and a on the low e. Then i p.m. and up stroke what would be the double stop on the b chord. and the triad on the a with my midfle finger down. I also add 2 strokes to on the e chord 7th fret and that sets me up to go right into the riff. If that makes sense? I've taught myself im 45 and i dont know all the lingo. But it sounds real good playing along.

One of my favourite Pistols songs along with Satellite, another b-side of a single that was criminally omitted from the Bollocks album.
Both those songs are my favourite Pistols tunes. With Holidays in the sun as my favourite album track.
Satellite, Did you no wrong and No Feelings were pure rock'n'roll gems. Definitely my Pistols' favourites. The demo versions are also great.
Great lesson, had this nailed pretty quickly, the bridge section is very satisfying to play loud and often 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Thanks for the kind words and glad it helped you out. Agreed love that section of the song 👍
I could never figure out the lead part in the verse. THANK YOU!!! 🙌
No problem! Love that song so unique
Been hoping you would do this song cheers
No problem Dean Ellen happy to help

Have you done “C’mon Everybody?” If not, here is a suggestion.
Mate your wrong on the licks
Yep the opening riffs missing a few notes and E riff is just wrong.
