The Esmeraldas Woodstar is so gorgeous. I am glad the team figured how to get you higher up! Like you have always said, "I am going to get every hummingbirds photograph, no matter what", hold true once again. Thank you Carole. So sorry for the loss of your brother.
What a beautiful hummer! Stunning photography as always! Carole, I’ve said it before and will probably say it again! YOU ARE SUCH A TROOPER! I don’t know how you do it! Standing on the top of the barrels and a board on a flatbed??!!! Man, you are brave! Thank you for this beautiful video!
Ok SUPERWOMAN...just when we think you've outdone yourself, you share another bold move with us! I can see why. Those photos and videos are excellent. Your cams pick up every little detail of those gem tones. Mommy was adorably busy. I loved how the male was "winging" it, showing off a bit. Really cute! We're happy to see you traveling again, and love your adventures. Looks like you're always well cared for too. Thank you Carole and we send our condolences to you❤
So glad you located the Esmeraldas Woodstar! The Woodstars are adorable, so cute! Stunning gorget on the male! I have read some about these rare hummingbirds. I love all the Woodstars! Very nice video, Carole

Very sorry to hear about your dear Brother Carole ... May God bless you and Jay ... Many good wishes fir you and your Families ... 🐦🐦🐦❤❤❤
Thank you so much for the amazing video of these beautiful hummers! My palms were sweating seeing you up on top of those barrels in the bed of that truck! You are a trooper.
Carole, my heartfelt condolences for your loss. Thank you for sharing this wonderful video and you’ve still got your acrobatic abilities! What great support you had in Ecuador to help you find this magnificent male!
My condolences for Jay's passing 😢! Oh, carole, you are an inspection and the mother of persistence!!! Thank you for a great video and my thanks to william for such beautiful aerial shots.❤
I'm in southeast Idaho and have not seen one hummingbird the last couple of years! They used to come to my yard and visit the flowers and there just hasn't been any for a few years. Many of them loved the white lilies we had here. Sadly, I know part of it is that most of the flower beds were ruined by neighbors and the new property owners. Still, I have feeders out back & hope! 🙏 These hummingbirds are so gorgeous, thank you for bringing the world your adventures and such beautiful scenery and these stunning little stars!!
Wow what you do to get to see and photograph hummingbirds for us is amazing. Thank you so much dear heart for all you do. The Esmeraldas Woodstar are beautiful birds.
Yes, VICTORY at last!👍 Outstanding shots and video. Gotta love central/south american ingenuity-boom bird platform- yeah it's safe.....ish. Close enough.😉 One of the many impressive things in this video is your entourage. Maybe one day I can have one half that size!🤪 Thank you for the video on the Esmareldas Woodstar, one of the most adorable birds I've been blessed enough to see in person.🥂
Carole your so hardcore on that flatbead with the barrels 🤣❤was worth it made a fantastic shot! His tail indeed looks like a star with the spikey tail feathers and beautiful colouring. ❤Jay🙏
Beautiful birds as always, Carole, but you also show beautiful photography of environments, foliage, rooms, and certainly beautiful and remarkable, caring people! You are a hummingbird, people, and cultural ambassador, indeed! Love your trapeze bravery to get the male woodstar shot! (And great photos of William in front of the camera and the tarantula, too!) You inspire in so many ways! And your dedication at the end following the high, ascending overhead drone shot moved my heart to tears. Your husband? Dear Carole! I (and all of us here certainly) stand in solidarity with you for your soldiering on as you grieve and for the courage and bravery you show us with every footstep in your determined adventures to document and preserve these tiny birds. You are in our hearts! ❤

I love people like you, thank you for taking all the time and effort and sharing it on here, I love Hummingbirds, they are semi Divine, so beautiful must have been made by Divine Creator, just exquisite, long may they last, hope forests world wide are protected, because hummingbirds and all the beautiful creatures that inhabit them, free, without cages or interference from us
What can be said but absolutely stunning Carole!! Maybe next time you can balance on that board in the bed of that truck while it's moving! Lol, no worries JK!! But, stunning gems you got on camera. It's funny the way the male flicks his tail almost reminds me of the way a snake does with it's tongue.
Omg I swear I have the exact same tarantula as a pet! I noticed it after rewatching the video. I don't recall the exact species but my tarantula is a Rose Hair something! 😅 I know this video isn't about those creepy crawlers, just caught my attention lol! Are these hummies protected or on the endangered species list then? They should be!
i have a lil beauty that has been visiting me i m hoping to get a video i just got her a better nector bowl and a shower over the fountain for her to bath in.

Quite awhile back when a hummingbird got hung up on your live stream feeder, was that your husband who came to the rescue?
😢
Jay was my brother and my only sibling.

It's considered "vulnerable" due to habitat destruction. I knew someone would pick up on that tarantula!
