As a UW student, I can say this Zotero tutorial was amazing! I’ve added so much storage space, and I don’t even have to default on my student loans. Also, I would highly recommend the consultation services, 10 out of 10!
Hey! Thank you so much from the UK! I am at uni and have used your method to sync with my cloud storage. I was wondering how you sync with iPad. I want to open the pdf on my ipad but it just sends me to the web page as "linked files are not supported on iOS. You can open them using the zotero desktop app. I found it incredibly useful to read and annotate on my ipad. Any advice I'd greatly appreciate!
Hello! If you want to view and edit PDFs stored this way on an iPad, you should install the OneDrive app on your iPad, then open and edit the PDFs directly from OneDrive. When you access your files again on your computer through Zotero, they will be updated with your annotations. support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/mark-up-a-pdf-in-onedrive-for-ios-b7807b8a-8323-4406-99b0-0b13882a8d03
thanks for the tutorial. acrually after following these steps, i cannot open the files (PDF) on my ipad Zotero application!!! do you have any solution for that?! rather than using another PDF reader like PDF-Experts, ... since if you use the zotero storage, you can easily open the PDFs on your ipad using the zotero application and annotate them. thanks
Unfortunately, the Zotero app for ipads does not support editing PDFs the way we set them up here. Instead, you could install the OneDrive app on your iPad and use that to annotate the PDFs.
Good video. If I use zotero on two computers, can the two libraries stay in sync this way? Have you tested this on two computers? Same zotero account? Thanks.
@@pavelbatalov5077 I've heard that the Zotero database can become corrupt due to two a mismatch in the cloud storage files synced over different devices. Is the option demonstrated in this video 100% immune to database corruption?
@@joshuabrook-lawson9053Zotero becomes corrupted if you set Zotero's data directory directly into a cloud storage system. Hello Ray. Yes, if you use the same Zotero account and the same OneDrive account, then both libraries will remain in sync on different computers.

zotfile is no longer compatible with zotero 7 so this method has become obsolete
Thanks bud
What do you use now?
Does this work with google drive?
