@49:00 about Jin's dance going viral... it was accidental in this way... the song was released for fun, on his birthday as a present just to ARMY for free, but it went viral world wide people who didn't even know BTS were doing the dance on tiktok shorts. 😅 it was a silly song he made up with his friend on a fishing trip and they filmed a hilarious clip to go with it with goofy dancing.... he gets really embarrassed when asked about it by interviewers as it is not the song he wants to be remembered for😅

One thing us Army can always agree on is.. BTS finds you when you most need them. 💜 It appears they have also found you when you needed them. They got me through the pandemic as a nurse. Not being able to see my husband or 4 children for fear of making them sick or worse. They got me through sleeping on a cot in a utility room in the hospital for so many days I can't remember and sleeping in the garage when it wasnt to cold. They got my through all the horrific things I went through during that time. As a medical professional we go to school because we want to help and the pandemic destroyed a big part us of including myself. 💜 BTS is why I am still here today and help me through all my nightmare awake and sleeping. I now have almost like PTSD and bad anxiety to the point I stopped working as a nurse. BTS reminds me there is still good people with good morals and that actually care. They give me hope. Thank you for immediately understanding the important of their group, band and lyrics. Also, thank you for keeping and open mind to actual get to know them. I love your reactions. 63 year old ARMY here. They are all serving mandatory military duty now. Jin went in 1st as he is the oldest and will get out in less than 60 days from now. They will all be out June of 2025. Their ages are 26 to 31.
Something I learned recently is that you can use your 'space bar' to pause the video instead of trying to hit the little arrow key. It's so much easier.

That happened to me too. As well as many ARMYS.. I've been avoiding BTS for years now, thinking they were superficial but boy was I so wrong. They came to my life when I was in peak depression. My life changed a lot not gonna lie. I used to think I wouldn't mind dying anytime but not anymore. I have something to live for. Myself. And they made me realize that.
I have not finished your reaction yet, but I wanted to touch on JIN‘s viral fishing song. Yes, they are very intelligent, and they know what they’re doing. However, Jin made this song just for his fans. It wasn’t even a complete song. But when the fans took it and ran with it, and created viral dance challenges, Jin went online and asked them to stop. Because he did not want to make a big deal about it and even need to go back and complete the song. It was all for fun. Written during a fishing trip with a friend. Definitely not a calculated career move. Super Tuna went to the top of the Billboard charts recently, beating out Taylor Swift.

We all get emotional watching the guide. Military service is mandatory for healthy South Korean men by age 30. They were scheduled to serve earlier after their tour but it was cancelled due to the pandemic so in 2022 they went on hiatus as a group to work on solo projects and prepare for their service. They decided as a group to do their service within a short time frame so that they can reunite as a group by mid 2025. Drugs are highly frowned upon so you will not see that with this group. Even their personal lives such as dating etc isn’t shown or discussed. JK who has a full sleeve tattoo has to cover them for Korean TV appearances. They are just as dedicated to their fans as ARMY is to them. They are extremely talented, kind, wonderful young men who work incredibly hard at their craft. They are continuously releasing new music and content that they prepared before enlisting for the fans. As a musician yourself, I can see that you appreciate their talent and work ethic. Jin (WWH) will be back in June followed by J Hope in October with the rest in 2025. I hope you enjoy your journey getting to know them and their music. Borahae 🫰🏻💜🇨🇦

I have been watching this guide so many times and until now. It uplifts me and I became a better me. really Love this BTS 7... I don't have any biases... I love them all equally.
Jin really dealt with unimaginable pressure and vitriol regarding his military service.
BTS was given an extension to enlist at age of 30 because of their cultural merit, though the members have ALWAYS planned to enlist.
But the pandemic threw off every plan they had (to do a final concert, then all enlist). Because of all the uncertainty of the time, they kept having to recalibrate over and over again when Jin would enlist.
Jin, as the oldest, kept trying to set a date, but every time he did, something would come up and he set aside his wants/needs to make everyone else happy. He (and the other members) wanted to be there for their fans during the pandemic--and also help the company that was also trying to stay afloat during lockdown--so they rode the wave of promoting Dynamite, Butter, and Permission to Dance to make everyone smile again and keep the company employees secure.
Then he was going to enlist again, but they were able to put on a concert FINALLY. So he postponed to be able to do THAT.
Then the government wanted BTS to be the "face" of their bid for a World Expo in Korea. So he postponed AGAIN to do a FREE concert at the government's request (that their company ended up paying a lot of money for, on top of providing the world's biggest act of the time).
And the whole time, Jin couldn't say *anything* because it could interfere with promotion and surprises and fan sentiment (he didn't want to make anyone feel bad).
He had to keep his mouth shut about why he wasn't enlisting while receiving the weight of the entire's worlds criticism and being accused of trying to get out of enlisting.
But the whole time, he smiled and performed and focused on making the fans happy (as well as his beloved bandmates and company and government and entire freaking world).
Kim Seokjin really deserves so much love for all he's done for everyone. (And this is coming from a Tae bias, so this is an objective observation, lol.
I loved your reaction and as for super tuna, who's dance got vira; accidentally, that actually wasn't in any of his official schedules, he just wrote it for him to vibe while fishing, you can see it in the lyrics, he said so many times that he was embarrased that he released such a childish song and wished many dont know about the song, but army being army we literally charted super tuna everywhere and it also blocked taylor swift on charts and it was soo iconic and funny considering he didnt want many to know about this song. And the song became soo viral among small children and many nursery schools use this song for fun dance session for children and it looked soo adorable, ppl still use it and Jin is still embarrassed🤣😂

Hello from an ARMY in California! I was so moved by your reaction to this video. I’ve seen countless people react to it and this is the only time I’ve cried. I want to start by saying something I thought every time I’ve heard you talk in these reactions: you are going to LOVE bts. They are artists that are going to give you everything you’re looking for in a band. You are someone who understands and knows and creates music and their artistry is going to astound you. Who they are as people is going to continuously impress and delight you. Their lyrics and messages and the themes they weave through their work are going to blow you away. The more you learn about them and about ARMY the more you will understand and be impressed. I know it sounds crazy, but every time you think you understand or know what they’re about you will see another video and it will add another layer that will make it even better. I’m not sure if I’m wording this well but I guess just trust me when I say that you will never be disappointed and you will always be impressed on this journey.
Because I feel so strongly that you will benefit mentally and emotionally from diving into BTS I’m going to say something I don’t usually say to reactors (especially ones who are planning on checking out a bunch of different stuff). I really, really hope you focus on BTS for a while and really take the time to immerse yourself in their content. There is so, so much still for you to see. A lot of reactors start checking out other K-pop groups and while they still check out BTS, they get lost in the shuffle in a lot of ways and the reactors start to sort of view BTS work as all jumbled in with other K-pop. They stop really paying attention and miss the unique phenomenon of true artistry. I don’t mean this in a negative way to other groups. There are a lot of talented artists in the world, and I am a big fan of music who listens to artists from everywhere in many languages. But BTS are once in a lifetime artists and I think it’s important to treat them with a little extra attention and focus. The high level of art they create deserves that. You said many times that there were things BTS does that you have seen no other artists do. You meant it in relation to their connection with their fans, and while that is more true than you know yet, it’s also true about everything about them. They are so unique, they do such interesting things with music and visual arts, and storytelling, and themes in their work. They are so authentic, they are so uncorrupted by the music industry. They are political, they are passionate about helping younger artists and often work with indie and lesser known musicians and singers. They are humble and extremely open with their struggles and thoughts. They treat ARMY like their beloved friends and partners. They refuse to ever take the easy way out or sell out, and despite their immense fame and success they still work as hard as they always have and are still trying to learn and change and push themselves.
It’s like if you took, The Beatles, Tupac, Queen, Green Day, Beyoncé, and Michael Jackson and put them all together into 7 men from Korea. Who would ever want to miss that? Again, I know this sounds like I’m exaggerating but I swear, I am an extremely practical person. I’m actually pretty jaded and hard to impress and spent a long time after discovering BTS looking for flaws. Looking for ways that this was all fake somehow. I never found any. They have never lied to us, they never let us down, they always try their hardest at everything they do. They are actual living proof that working hard you can achieve your dreams.
Anyway, rant over lol. I usually don’t do all this and I hope you know I’m not trying to tell you what to do. This is your channel and you should do what you like, it’s just a suggestion but it’s one I think you will not regret. You will not get bored with BTS. Check out their music, check out their documentary series, their dance practice videos, their shows (they are super funny, competitive, chaotic people). Either way I’m here for your journey and thank you so much for having an open mind and paying attention.
Since this comment is already crazy long I might as well add a few things I think might show you the scope of their connection to ARMY.
1. You know they go live to talk to us, but I don’t think you know how casual and common it is. Jungkook for example will go live at his house in the middle of the night for hours, drinking, singing, cooking, doing laundry, watching tv, working out, he has even gone live from his bed and fell asleep with millions of armys watching 😂.
2. I can’t think of any other artist who has written a song directly to their fans before. BTS has a ton. And not just shallow, sappy nonsense but real actual depth. They take the things we say to them, our concerns and fears, as well as their own and talk about it in these songs. I’m going to list the songs for ARMY that I can think of down below to show you how many there are.

BTS finds you when you need them the most. Taylor’s guide is a right of passage for all newbies getting to know the guys, your comments were spot on……. except for Jin’s Super Tuna remark. He did not think it would blow up as it was a ditty he put out on his birthday as a gift for ARMY. The previous year he had put out a serious song as a gift and that year he wanted to do a lighthearted one. There is six years between the youngest and oldest. In Korea, all able bodied males need to start their military service by age 28. BTS was given an extension to age 30 to enter the military. 1:22:29 Jin went in Dec 2022 , J Hope followed several months later, then Suga began his alternative military service. (Due to a serious shoulder injury in 2013 ,he had surgery in 2021 and could not risk reinjury to the site. ). The last four went in two at a time a day apart. They will all be finished in2025 and ARMY can’t wait. I purple you ….from a silver 71 yr old ARMY. 💜💜💜💜💜

Namjoon does have a 148iq but he also has a lot of emotional intelligence and huge charisma - which is a big reason has to why his lyrics are so smart and complex and makes such a good leader. He also wanted to become a poet so he basically achieve both of his dreams.
Yoongi is indeed supported by his family now. They worried that he wouldn't be able to make it and wanted him to have a stable job as a government worker. He had to work very hard to follow his dream. At 16 he started to work as a producer and was barely getting paid - as he was young and struggling, people took advantage of him. When he joined the trainee program at Big Hit, he secretly took a job (it wasn't allowed) as a delivery man to pay for his tuition. But one day he had an accident with a car where his shoulder was badly hurt. He hid it from his members and the label because he was scared of being thrown out and said that he fell down the stairs. He ended up explaining what really happened to the label and they paid for his tuition and college. His shoulder didn't heal properly because of that and he suffered a lot for a long time. In 2020, he finally had surgery and he's doing much better thankfully.
That whole interview with RM and SUGA was super annoying. Those guys couldn't put their prejudices aside and recognize their talents just because of makeup and stuff. They spent the whole thing bullying the two of them... Joke's on them now
Actually, Yoongi loves dancing and was able to fully develop it now that he doesn't suffer from his shoulder as much and has had more time. He took lessons to work on his basics recently and even admitted that when they were younger he would go to dance events with j-hope and wanted to pursue dance as a career at some point. The thing is that as underground rappers, RM and SUGA didn't want to dance because it wasn't seen as cool. They were told by Bang PD that it would be a hip-hop group and wouldn't have to dance, that they should focus on rap. But the project changed into a k-pop idol group and they had to adapt and dance if they wanted to stay. Some other trainees at the time left (like their friend and now in-house producer Supreme Boi) but they decided to stay. There's a funny video where SUGA accuses Bang PD having lied to him because of that but he actually likes to dance. Probably much more than RM and Jin for example. There's even a vlog from RM from way back where he says that he's Rap Monster not Dance Monster but that he has to dance to stay in the group 😅 And Jin isn't the best dancer but works extremely hard 💜
I love that you acknowledge that they are not K-pop and are much more than that! They technically fall under the umbrella that is K-pop but transcend it. They always go above and beyond and try to help people through their music and openness. I personally deal with social anxiety and depression and hid it from everyone. I discovered them when I was at my lowest and hearing them talk about anxiety, doubt and self-love with so much sincerity really helped me. They tell you that's it's okay to be yourself, to struggle and actually show you themselves. I couldn't be more grateful to them
Hobi really is our sunshine! I hate to see him sad because it really feels like it sucks all the happiness around him while he really shines when he's happy. He is so warm and talented. To me Jin and Hobi are the funniest in the group - they never fail to make me laugh
Don't worry, saying that Jin has a "silver voice" is a huge compliment! A silver voice has more charm while a golden voice is more brilliant from what I've read. His voice brings a lot of emotion in songs. Jin has really good breath control and can smoothly switch between head and chest voice. He can also belt really well and sing over 3 octaves (the only one able to do so in BTS according to SUGA)
Yes, Jin's solo song Moon was indeed ranked in greatest boyband songs because it was on a BTS album and thus labelled as BTS and not Jin.
Concerning the military service, first of all, they were able to delay it until 30 because they were awarded the Hwagwan Order of Cultural Merit medal (the youngest recipients btw). And then Jin reached his final deadline and left in 2022, shortly followed by j-hope. And the other 5 left at the end of last year. SUGA did his solo world tour and went directly after in September but because of his shoulder, he's serving as a social service agent. Since he does a different kind of military service, it's 21 months instead of 18. So the 4 others waited until December to all go together and come back at the same this as him in June 2025. Jin comes back really soon in June, and j-hope will follow in October! There were both promoted as Sergeant Kim Seok Jin and Corporal Jung Ho Seok and we are very proud of all of them 💜
Also, the Wembley stadium thing was organised by their staff. While they were changing, they put a message on screen explaining the surprise and when the moment came they put the lyrics on screen so everyone could sing along. It's really emotional to watch the whole performance and you can see how much it means to them!

There is still a war going on between North and South Korea, so every male citizen must serve in military for 18 months, being allowed to enlist until 30 years old. But they can choose when to go, because of their studies or career. BTS decided to enlist in a 30 months period, between Dec 2022 to June 2025. So next June 12th our Jin, WorldWide Handsome, is back.

I’m just into the first 5 mins of your reaction and already finding you so genuine and really interested to take in the facts, pausing the video to read and absorb the info. That I know would take more your time but it conveys to me that your interest in BTS is real, not something I find in some of the other reactors’ reaction. We as viewers can see the difference.
My main admiration for BTS stems from this : apart from their talent that has given me much joy, is how well they had coped all these years living and training in difficult conditions away from their families. Minimal privacy too, having to live with the camera lens on them much of the time, their every move, facial expression, raw emotions captured for the world to see and analyse. I take my hat off to them for having turned out to be well-grounded decent and humble human beings, despite their fame and extraordinary achievements.
There is a saying within Armys "You find the BTS when you need the most" It's like they find you when you need them just like you found them. That's why armys are so attached to them. Many of us found them when we were in our lowest in the life or something. Don't know if this is coincident or fate but it happens and happening to many armys. Someone said their just angels send by god as musicians to heal people 😍😍😍💜💜💜💜
I am JUNGKOOK biased but i love all of them their friendship and brotherhood bond is very sweet. JK is the youngest he is 26 now but most of the time in korean military to join between 28-30, jk went because the group re union in 2025. They decided that also he is one of the youngest korean to join the military at the age of 26. He is very talented and humble young man.

@@AlteredChat All of them are in the military. Jin went in 1st because he the oldest. So he comes back 1st in June 12. Jhope went next so he comes back this Oct. The others come back June 2025. RM and V come back on the same day. Jimin and JK come back next day. Suga comes back later that month. Suga had to do 21 months while the rest only 18.
Just a little addition, most Korean men have finishes their military service before the age of 25 as they have to have a VERY good reason for delaying it (such as university). In fact many will complete it right out of high school, 19-21 is the national average (you can google it). BTS received an extension to the age of 30. 28 is the cut off for everyone else.
Jungkook is older than the vast majority in his unit.
@@HelenM8811 yeah 18-28 i know, but the point is he is idol also 6 members enlisted 28-30 so jk still has time but he sacrifice himself for the group comeback. Btw when jk was enlisted the average age on the list was 26-30 still he is the youngest.
Although you're right about them being smart, super tuna becoming viral was definitely an accident, he's not really someone who likes a lot of attention so for him it was definitely unexpected. He even gets embarrassed and shy every time someone mentions the song😂😂

You are right. BTS is not K-pop. They are bigger than K-pop!
The story goes that when Suga wrote the long texts to V and JK that ended in I love you. the group was going through an especially difficut time and were considering breaking up. Suga wrote the texts to encourage the two youngest members of the group. V has since said that it gave him much strength and helped him get through his 'burn-out.' Your reactions are so enjoyable to watch!

Three things : People tend to forget just how young they all were back in 2011/12/13... including RM who was chosen to be the leader... they were basically all youths/teens and genuinely love each other and Army-none of them had it easy back in the beginning and still don't, but it was especially difficult for RM being the 'face/voice' of the group and also the 'bridge' between the members and the company.... Jin : He was actually a little angry with Army for making his song Supertuna trend hahaha... he said it was just a fun thing for army and he was slightly embarrassed that it went viral... (we didn't care... we kept on trending it hahaha)... You : If you have children, or plan to have them in the future, then they will be extremely lucky to have you as a parent.... you have the same mindset and heart as Army do... and we are very happy that you have decided to give our guys a chance ! Korean Age vs International Age - difference is 1-2 years depending on if their birthday has been.... In most older videos, including this guide, they are giving Korean ages so you will need to adjust.
The members were only 13-18 years old when they joined BTS and 15-20 yo when they debuted.
In Korea when you are born you are considered 1 year old. Then on lunar newyear every year you add another year to your age, no matter what your birthdate is. ....

Suga 1993- 20 yo Suga started with MIDI at 11
JHope 1994 - 19 yo JHope started dancing at 8

Rule of thumb - if it's before their birthday - subtract 2 years to get international age. if it's after their birthday - subtract 1 year to get their international age.
The Korean Government has recently (June28 last year) brought in international age as the standard in Korea, but all older videos/ interviews/ shows, will be referencing Korean age.

A razão porque me tornei army foi justamente esse sentimento de, eu precisava saber que pessoas como eles existem, e que eles são grandes e famosos e não são o sinonimo de superficialidade que vemos nas mídias ,e s e vou ser fã de alguém, eles são a escolha perfeita, a única escolha kk 5 anos depois e eu não encontrei nenhum outro artista que fosse de longe tão completo e único como eles. O mundo precisa deles, mesmo que sinceramente não mereça muito. Como já dizia o yoongi, "nunca haverá próximo BTS", e quem conhecesse quem eles são de fato, sabe porquê.
BTS collectively have good morale and values. They always put the groups best interest over their own. So whatever they do, and how they live they are very careful about it, unfortunately, but comes with the position they are at I guess. They are always scrutinized for everything they do and say. None of the members have ever been caught up in any scandals that could negatively impact their, or their groups image and career.
I am pretty sure bts now has over 1400+ awards. Making them the most awarded artist.

There is no ego or jealousy!WWH is true! He used it cos people kept saying he is handsome all over the world so he decided to give himself the nickname. People think he is narcissistic but he has a self deprecating humour! Lol! You are right about Jin wanting to make people smile but as an introvert, he got affected and suffered depression. Jin is allergic to sadness and darkness so he doesn’t like that kind of atmosphere 😢! That’s why the team is happy ! He is the mood maker. FYI- he has a scientifically proven perfect face. 42:07 idk how in other countries but in mine "silver voice" means a voice that is very clear, like bells, very clean - Jin has this voice, his technique is masterful, he learned singing from zero, and developed great belting and very clear voice with clean smooth transitions. When he belts he can go ultrasound😂

BTS, they view each other as family and talk of being together always. They respect and love each other and know that they were capable of going through the intense hardships because of their unity as a group. Although each one of them have solo projects, they view each other as a group and want to preserve it. 💜💜💜 when they signed, their age ranged from 13 to 20. Really young and they lived together for 8/9 years. 💜The eldest member,Jin, was the one who took JK to school everyday.

i just want to add some information that around 2015-2016 during their concert, Suga saw his parents there watching them perform, he cried a lot cus that's like an acceptance, a recognition for his passion for music, for his choice and his career.

My youngest son has expressed wanting to be a drummer. My hubby & I fully support this. My older sister & I did preforming arts (dance team, choir, & i did orchestra) in Middle School & High School as well as church choir. Plus we went to school w/Brian & Chad from Hemlock. I only asked that he complete high school & to find at least a part-time job until he starts finding gigs.
I FEEL YOU, i am blessed also for getting to know them.

So much has happened since this video update, it’s unbelievable how they’ve grown and what they’ve achieved and shared with us. More awards of course.
They’ve each released solo works. Only one song from Jin so far but he went to his service first and will be back soon! The diversity and talent of these projects is inspiring and honestly I don’t know any artists who could ever compare. They became brand ambassadors for fashion labels, and different companies even the NBA. They came on live to visit, cook, play games, make art. JK spent hours with ARMY drinking and singing with millions feeling as if we were in his home with him. Suga/Agust D did a solo world tour! j-hope has a new docuseries about his dance roots on Prime! RM is coming out with a second solo album at the end of May! They’ve released special songs and videos for us to help not miss them so much.
Despite their ages, they’ve all entered their service at different times but close enough so they will all be done by late 2025, and all have spoken of an eager return to BTS projects and seeing ARMY!💜 I wish them a safe and well return.
I love your honesty and genuine interest and am eager to share in your BTS journey!💜I am 55, American. Wife and mother of three and my family does not understand or cherish my obsessive love of BTS, but whatever! I was blessed to see them live 2x in 2021/22. Finding them and their lyrics, their sound and their personalities has helped me in the most depressing times of my life. They distract, inspire, and bring me such joy. Earlier in December I've got my first tattoo with silhouettes of the boys. My mom is also into Bangtan but she was mad at me because she doesnt like tattoos. Well... She just cant imagine what they mean to me. They were with me during my depression, but she wasn't. Sometimes they were my only hope and reason to stay alive. "I can't die right now, I need to support them. They wouldn't want me to." - this is what I thought. I remember I was lying on my bed and cried because it was unbearable, I was feeling paralyzed, but... I gathered all the remained strength and got up, turn on their song Magic Shop. I was crying sitting at my table and apologizing for having such thoughts, because you know... They do their best to save me and I just dont accept it. And this was the first time I tried to help myself.

Because of how they formed individually, I think a lot of them had imposter syndrome until much later in their careers. I think early Jin went on about being the visual because that's literally how he was chosen and was late to realizing he has a stunning voice and has so much to offer.
Also, I read that the Eat Jin episodes, where he videos himself eating various meals, was invented to help Armies who have eating disorders. Such an amazing, huge heart that man has.

I’m an American, have been all 65 years of my life. Of course, I have always thought (until I found BTS) that AMERICA was THE STANDARD! What a foolish, arrogant way of thinking. I wished that America was NOT PUT ON A PEDESTAL. I get sick thinking about my past self: pompous, condescending, ignorant way of looking at GOD’s AMAZING CREATIVITY in forming ALL THE UNIQUE, STUNNING, EXOTIC, MAGNIFICENT PEOPLE’s of HIS WORLD! I havent followed reactors in a long time but i am going to follow you because you understand these legends and their craft. They are def more than kpop. They are BTS pop!
Ok so the military service is a bit of a mess to explain bc you need to understand the timeline of their plans, why they were derailed, and how the South Korean government is part of the story.
Originally, since all Korean men must enlist until they turn 28. Jin was supposed to enlist by the end of 2020. So that was their plan, they always said they would enlist when the time came, they never asked for exemptions or postponements, they had their biggest WOLRD tour scheduled for 2020, but the pandemic happened, so all their plans were canceled.
They made the best decisions they could as a group at the time so they released Dynamite as an uplifting fun song to bring joy to ppl around the world. In the meantime K-pop companies (BigHit was not included in this) filled a petition to the government to revise their laws around military service and K-pop idols and they used BTS the leading example for this revision (despite none of them asking for it), the government made a revision that year, which said that K-pop idols can postpone their service 2 years, AS LONG AS they were recipients of the Order of Cultural Merit and this was nicknamed "the BTS law” bc they were the only ones who fit their requirements, but they were not the ones who asked for this postponement.
With this new law, they had another 2 years until Jin needed to enlist, as the pandemic was still affecting their ability to promote as they had intended they released their pandemic album “Be” and continued to release Butter, Permission to Dance, My Universe, etc
Fast forward to 2022, Jin was going to have to enlist by the end of the year again, but by this point BTS, with their English song releases had brought even more recognition and money to their country (specially with their Grammy nominations) and there were lots of talks abt granting them exemption from service (as other professions such as soccer players were also able to get them for their contributions to the country). BTS however continued to say that they would serve, and after they held their FREE concert in Busan in October that is exactly what they officially announced was going to happen. They were all going to enlist.
Back in June of that year, they had already announced they were going to take a break from GROUP ACTIVITIES and would focus on their solo work, but assured their fans that they were not disbanding. With this their plan was to have all the members enlist bit by bit while giving them time to promote as solo artists in the meantime (since they couldnt be together). Jin released his single Astronaut before leaving in December, J-Hope had already released his solo album Jack In The Box (which you will LOVE) back in July i think, RM released his solo album Indigo at the end of 2022, Jimin released his solo in march 2023 titled "Face", J-Hope enlisted in April, Suga released "D-Day" in April and did a solo tour until August, Suga enlisted in September (he will complete alternative service bc of his shoulder injury, so he will serve 3 months more than the other members), V released his solo album "Layover" in september, and JK had released a single in July, but his full album "golden" was released on November. In december jimin released a goodbye song called "Closer than this" and the rest of the members JK, V, Jimin and RM all enlisted in december. J-Hope had prepared another album "Hope on the Street" which was released in March this year while he is still serving so he cant promote it, but it is an OST for his docu-series where he rediscovers his passion for dancing. V also released the songs "where u r" and "Fri(end)s" this year and RM has been teasing the possible release of another project from him on his instagram. They are all really hardwoking and really care abt giving it alk for their fans, even while serving. Their service should last 18 months (a year and a half), so Jin is coming back in June just in time for their 11th anniversary as BTS, J-Hope in October, and suga, along with the other 4 members in June 2025 when they will finally reunite as a full group. And yes, all the younger members (including RM who is the leader but is only one year older than Jimin and V, and is younger than Jin, Suga and J-Hope) are going to serve now, even though they are at the prime of their careers and still have many years until they HAVE to serve bc they want to be together as 7. BTS is 7. BTS is the most important thing for all of them. 7=1 and 7-1=0
I tried to make it short (army im sorry if I missed any releases by one of the members), but explaining all of this is really hard, and i didnt even get into how the media and investors become involved in all of it.

As coisas que vc observou são muito verdade. Todos os meninos são verdadeiros artistas, eles estudam e apreciam arte de verdade. Quem não conhece tem aquele preconceito achando que eles são robozinhos da indústria. E realmente ele não seguem o modelo do kpop, o trabalho deles vai muito além de se limitar a um estilo musical. My «feel good» song on tough days is «Not today», and it has lifted me up so many times. I could recommend you so much by them. Their catalogue is huge. But i heard you say you haven’t watched them live yet? An amazing fact about BTS is that they are even better live than the recordings, which are amazing by themselves. The live show they did at the MMA 2019 is maybe the one that blew my mind the most. I dare to say it is the best live performance by any artist, group, at any time. Lol, me again, i could not go on without recommending a live performance by the rap line in BTS, RM, J-hope and Suga. Song title: Outro-Tear. They sometimes perform in concerts and recordings individually, as rap-line, vocalist-line or full group. This one by the rap-line. A powerful song, written by Suga, at at time of a chrisis in BTS. They actually considered disbanding, and Suga really set to words the feelings he and the group felt experiencing it. Powerful, moving lyrics, delievered with so much passion and emotions. Thank all that is good the group pulled through, now stronger than ever. Military service just a short break on their way. I agree that this is the most amazing live performance. The only caveat is there will be so many songs that you haven't heard yet and it might be better to listen to most of the originals so that you will recognize them. Each member is featured with an instrumental of one of their songs behind them, but you won't know it's significance. I believe I would do their Tiny Desk first. It has three songs: Dynamite, Save Me, and Spring Day. You could watch the MV's afterward. I don't think it would spoil it. Or watch something like Magic Shop live, which doesn't have a MV. It can stand alone, but gives you an idea of how spectacular they are live.
